The late Greg Lake may be best known for his work with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but he also had an extensive solo career. Now, that career is being celebrated with a brand new box set.
Greg Lake Magical, dropping November 10, is a limited edition, seven-CD box set featuring Lake’s two studio albums, Greg Lake and Manoeuvres, and two live albums. It includes collaborations with Clarence Clemons, Toto, SteveHowe, Geoff Downes, Keith Emerson, Carl Palmer, Gary Moore and others.
In addition to the music, the set includes a 64-page coffee table book with previously unseen archival photos and sleeve notes by Prog magazine editor Jerry Ewing, who talked to many of Lake’s collaborators.
Heartache, cold shoulders and a burned-out romance take centerstage in the music video for Carly Pearce‘s Christ Stapleton-assisted duet, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.”
Directed by Alexa Campbell, the cinematic visualizer chronicles a couple’s fast-fraying relationship as they live out their lives together but separately in a home devoid of love and affection. Famed actors Lucy Hale and Shiloh Fernandez play the lead roles.
“Having talents like Lucy and Shiloh were truly such a gift,” says Carly. “The ‘space’ you feel between the two of them is felt so tragically at every moment of this video.”
“We Don’t Fight Anymore” is the lead single off Carly’s forthcoming new album and is currently in the top 40 on the country charts.
Carly’s headlining Country Music Made Me Do It Tour kicks off October 5 in New York. For a full list of dates and tickets, visit carlypearce.com.

The “Chasing Cars” outfit has announced that longtime drummer and bassist Jonny Quinn and Paul Wilson, respectively, have left the group.
“We are heartbroken they have decided to leave us but we wish them nothing but happiness, success, joy, compassion and everything they want in all their future endeavors,” frontman Gary Lightbody writes in a Facebook post.
Quinn had been with Snow Patrol since 1997 and was the longest-tenured band member outside of Lightbody. Wilson joined in 2005.
Snow Patrol also posted individual tributes to both Quinn and Wilson, and while both were very effusive with appreciation for their contributions, the split may not have been completely amicable. In the comments to the post dedicated to Quinn, Jonny’s wife, Mariane, writes, “It’s been a f***er. F***ed by you know who.”
As for who “you know who” is, that’s up for speculation. Snow Patrol’s remaining members are Lightbody, keyboardist/guitarist Johnny McDaid and guitarist Nathan Connolly.
The Rolling Stones are getting ready to release their first album of original material since 2005, and Lady Gaga is along for the ride.

In 2012, Gaga joined the Stones onstage for a performance of their classic “Gimme Shelter,” which is documented on the Stones’ 2023 concert album, Grrr Live!
The first single from Hackney Diamonds, “Angry,” is out now; its video stars Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney.
George Harrison asked Eric Clapton to contribute a guitar solo to his new Beatles song, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
Clapton initially declined Harrison’s request saying, “nobody ever plays on Beatles records,” but Harrison eventually convinced him to participate, and Clapton recorded the solo that night.
The song appeared on the band’s album The Beatles, also known as The White Album, which was released in November of 1968. The track was one of Harrison’s songs on the album. It went on to be an iconic track for him and has often made it on lists of the greatest guitar songs of all time.
Harrison eventually paid Clapton back for his contribution by cowriting and playing guitar on Cream’s “Badge.”
Tia Mowry is still relishing the special moment she had with Beyoncé at the singer’s birthday Renaissance show in Inglewood on September 4.
When Bey noticed the Sister, Sister alum in the audience, she gave her an impromptu, nostalgic tribute by integrating lyrics of a song Tia performed as part of the ’90s girl group Voices into one of her own hits.
Midway through a performance of “1+1,” Bey belted out, “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!” — similar to how it was sung by Tia, her twin Tamera Mowry and the other group members back in the day.
In a sweet Instagram note, Tia reflected on her relationship with the singer, who was also part of a ’90s girl group, Destiny’s Child.
“The first time I met @beyonce was during her Destiny’s Child days when she was on a production with my brother @tahj_mowry, and since then I have been lucky to cross paths with her throughout the years,” Tia wrote. “From the beginning, Beyoncé’s undeniable talent is only rivaled by her incredible kindness and generosity.”
Tia continued, writing that she was “so lucky” to attend the epic birthday show and mentioning “how much thought and love” was put into the production.
But the “highlight” of her night was when Bey “saw me in the crowd, and she gave me a smile and a hello, and then started singing ‘yeah, yeah, yeah’ from when @tameramowrytwo and I were in the singing group, Voices!”
Tia said she was “so touched” by the gesture, and, hours after the concert had ended, she still couldn’t “believe that it truly happened!”
“She’s a true icon, who continuously inspires me with her talent, dedication, humility, and beautiful spirit,” Tia added.
The Rolling Stones have officially launched a new era. During a press conference in London Wednesday, September 6, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers announced they’ll release their new studio album Hackney Diamonds on October 20.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about the record and revealed that their late drummer, Charlie Watts, appears on two songs, which were recorded in 2019. They also confirmed that original Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman appears on the record, as does special guest Lady Gaga.
“I don’t want to be big headed, but we wouldn’t have put this album out if we didn’t really like it,” Jagger shared. “I mean we didn’t want to make just any record and put it out,” adding, “before we went in, we said we’ll go and make a record that we really love ourselves.”
The first single from the record, “Angry,” is out now, with a video featuring Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney.
The album, produced by Andrew Watt, who also produced albums by Eddie Vedder, Iggy Pop and Ozzy Osbourne,is available for preorder now.
Hackney Diamonds will be The Rolling Stones’ first album of original songs since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The last album they released was 2016’s Blue and Lonesome, which was an album of blues covers.

The ceremony caps a decade-long effort to dedicate the location to the Beasties, who formed in NYC and have long been linked to the city. Previously, a Brooklyn park was named after late member Adam “MCA” Yauch.
In other Beastie Boys happenings, the band’s Hello Nasty vinyl box set will be reissued Friday, September 8, in honor of the 1998 album’s 25th anniversary.
