Imagine Dragons has premiered the video for “Children of the Sky,” a new song recorded for the Starfield video game.

The clip features an astronaut’s emotional journey through outer space that, in addition to Starfield, may remind you of movies such as Gravity and Interstellar.

“As soon as I listened to the track, I was transported to a new world full of emotion, hope and fantasy – instantly leading me to a visual idea I wanted to explore,” says director FILFURY. “With the song being used for Starfield, my desire was to lean into the sci-fi space visual language, but stay very true to the tone and identity of Imagine Dragons. A perfect unison of worlds, connected by the lyrics of the song and the uplifting euphoric dream-like hope the song conveys.”

You can watch the “Children of the Sky” video streaming now on YouTube.

The song “Children of the Sky” dropped in August, while Starfield was released on Xbox Series X/S and PC earlier in September.

Imagine Dragons’ collaboration with Starfield is one of several crossovers the band’s had with the video game world. Their single “Warriors” was the theme song for the 2014 League of Legends World Championship esports tournament, and they recorded the 2021 song “Enemy” for League of Legends-inspired animated series Arcane.

Dua Lipa selects acclaimed 1967 novel for her next book club pick: “It’s irresistible”
Harper Perennial Modern Classics

To date, the books that Dua Lipa has selected for her Service95 Book Club have been somewhat recent books written by living authors. But her October selection is a bit different: It’s a novel written more than 50 years ago that’s considered one of the greatest books of all time.

The book is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez, who died in 2014. Written in the magical realist style, the book tells the story of seven generations of the Buendía family, living in the fictional town of Macondo.

“This incredible novel put me under a spell,” Dua wrote on Instagram. “I was captivated by the fantastical elements that live alongside reality and loved how time loops and sways in the fictional town of Macondo.”

While she admits to getting a bit confused by all the characters, Dua noted, “Getting lost and succumbing to the mastery of Gabriel García Márquez’s storytelling is all part of the joy of this epic tale. Along the way, I found myself reflecting on love and war, familial bonds, the consequences of modernity and of course, the many meanings of solitude. It’s irresistible.”

As part of the book club content, fans will get a travel guide to Colombia, as well as an interview with García Márquez’s son Rodrigo García.

Dave Grohl is reuniting with his first band.

The Foo Fighters frontman contributes to the upcoming new album from the D.C. hardcore punk outfit Scream. The record, titled DC Special, will be released on November 10.

DC Special marks the first new music from Scream since 2011, as well as the group’s first full-length effort since 1993’s Fumble. It was recorded by the classic Still Screaming lineup — vocalist Pete Stahl, guitarist Franz Stahl, bassist Skeeter Thompson and drummer Kent Stax — and also features Fugazi‘s Ian MacKaye.

The first DC Special single, “DC Special Sha La La,” is out now.

Grohl started playing in Scream in 1986 following the departure of Stax. As the legend goes, the then-17-year-old Grohl lied about his age so that he could join the band.

After Scream’s initial breakup in 1990, Grohl would go on to play drums in a little band called Nirvana. He then formed Foo Fighters after the 1994 death of Kurt Cobain.
