Halestorm and Twisted Sister‘s Dee Snider will be attending the 2023 New York Comic Con.

The “I Miss the Misery” outfit and the “We’re Not Gonna Take It” rocker will be supporting their respective graphic novels, Hyde Manor and He’s Not Gonna Take It, which were published by the company Z2 Comics.

Hyde Manor, which takes its name from Halestorm song “Mz. Hyde,” tells a fictional story of Lzzy Hale and company meeting “sinister doppelgangers of themselves.” He’s Not Gonna Take It, meanwhile, is a comic book retelling of Snider’s crusade against the Parents Music Resource Center, culminating in his famed remarks during a 1985 Senate hearing.

Also joining Z2 Comics at NYCC are GWAR and Life of Agony bassist Alan Robert, who contributed to the Pantera Vulgar Display of Power graphic novel.

The 2023 New York Comic Con takes place October 12-15.

As the saying goes, “One is random, two is a coincidence, three times is a trend,” so welcome to the Phil Collins trend.

Specifically, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s debut solo single, “In The Air Tonight,” is suddenly everywhere. First, Sean “Diddy” Combs sampled the iconic drum break from the song on his new single, “Another One of Me,” which features The Weeknd.

Next, country star Chris Stapleton, rap icon Snoop Dogg and drummer Cindy Blackman Santana teamed up to record a new version of “In the Air Tonight,” which is being used as ESPN’s new Monday Night Football theme.

And now, country/pop crossover star Kane Brown has released a new song called “I Can Feel It,” which also interpolates the “In The Air Tonight” drum break. Kane has also given Phil a writing credit on the song, telling Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, “It’s a legendary drum fill and it’s a legendary song. There’s no way I could not do that … Phil could have said no, so I’m glad that he let me use the song.”

Jada Pinkett Smith took a trip down memory lane by sharing a rare video of her with Tupac Shakur

A younger version of Smith and Tupac are seen in the video dancing and lip-syncing along to the lyrics of her husband Will Smith‘s hit “Parents Just Don’t Understand”.

“Not in a million years would I have dreamed that the Fresh Prince and I would become, um, very acquainted,” Jada’s voice soundtracks the Instagram clip titled “CHAPTER- Advanced Degree,” her words written out in the caption. “Not in a million years did I imagine three lives, their fates, would be so intertwined.”

She continued, “And… I never would have imagined that this video would become a tangible memory, of the last time Pac and I, were simply kids together. Pac and I lip syncing Parents Just Don’t Understand by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince during our Junior year in high school. Who would have thought?”

Jada followed it up with another post, the original video of her and Tupac “doing a terrible job at lip syncing ‘Parents Just Don’t Understand.'”

The special memory comes in tandem with promo of the actress’ upcoming memoir, Worthy, expected out via HarperCollins on October 4.

On ‘Hot Ones,’ *NSYNC reveals the truth about rumor they were cast in ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’
First We Feast

Over the years, the Star Wars franchise has secretly cast celebrities in minor roles without acknowledging them — for example, Daniel Craig played a Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens. But what about the rumor that *NSYNC was cast in the 2002 prequel Star Wars: Attack of the Clones? The group addressed it during their September 21 appearance on the YouTube series Hot Ones.

The group told host Sean Evans it’s partly true: Only Chris KirkpatrickJoey Fatone and JC Chasez were offered the parts of Jedi in the film.

Lance [Bass] and me were so butt-hurt,” Justin Timberlake says, evidently still salty over the whole thing.

“But they got cut out anyway,” Lance offers.

“When you guys cut out, we were, like, [secretly laughing],” Justin recalls.

During the Hot Ones episode, the group chose what they consider their five best songs: “I Thought She Knew,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” “It’s Gonna Be Me” and “Drive Myself Crazy.”

As for their new song, “Better Place,” Justin said their goal while recording was to “give them something that felt, not necessarily nostalgic, but familiar.”

JC added, “W’re obviously influenced by 20 years of experiences, but we still want to give them us.”

“Better Place” is out September 29.
