They said it wouldn’t last, but Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married for five years — which is as good an excuse as any to splash out some serious bling. And the jeweler who designed said bling for Hailey to give to Justin for their anniversary is now showing it off on Instagram.

New York jewelry designer Alex Moss, who’s created pieces like a $12.5 million chain for rap superstar Drake, has opened up to GQ about Hailey’s commission for Justin: two jewel-encrusted mushroom pendants. One is blue and one is yellow, and each has five large stones on it, representing the years the couple has been married.

“She was the one who suggested we create [mushroom pendants], something along these lines. And then, of course, I put my twist to it, and I designed the actual mushroom,” says Moss.

He’s not sure why Hailey chose mushrooms, but he notes, “The stones that were used in this piece were the absolute highest quality … nothing else exists on the planet better than them … this is the top.”

Asked how much the pendants cost, Moss says, “Priceless, to be honest. To get an anniversary gift from Alex Moss, New York, custom designed — you can’t put a price on that. It’s a Bieber project.”

He mentions he had a member of his team fly to LA and hand deliver the pendants to Hailey so they wouldn’t get lost.

So, did Justin like the gift? Moss says he doesn’t know, because he didn’t personally give it to him, but he brags, “If you go to look at his pictures on Instagram, he hasn’t taken the chain off.”

Moss also designed the bubble “B” necklace Hailey wears all the time.

Kane Brown recently released his hotly anticipated new single, “I Can Feel It.”

The uptempo track, which was co-written by Kane, samples Phil Collins‘ 1981 hit “In The Air Tonight.” So, what inspired that interpolation?

“This song came after we were trying to find somebody to perform with me at Stagecoach,” Kane recalls. “Phil Collins was one of the people we wanted, and after we were in Canada, we wrote this song.”

“I immediately fell in love with it, with the drum feel. It’s so familiar to a lot of people,” he says.

With “I Can Feel It” ushering in a new music chapter, Kane’s looking forward to performing the song onstage soon.

“I’m really excited to play it live. I immediately saw the image of it after we wrote it, and I can’t wait for everybody to hear it and get to jam along to it,” shares Kane.

Tickets to Kane’s 2024 In The Air Tour go on sale Thursday, September 28, at 10 a.m. local time. For more information and a full list of dates, visit tour.kanebrownmusic.com.

Taylor Swift spotted sitting with Travis Kelce’s mom at Chiefs game

Taylor Swift may not be dating Travis Kelce, but she definitely took the Kansas City Chiefs tight end up on his offer to watch him “rock the stage at Arrowhead Stadium.”

On September 24, Taylor was spotted in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, cheering while wearing full Chiefs regalia, and sitting next to Kelce’s mom, no less.

For months, there’s been speculation that Travis and Taylor are dating, based on Travis’ revelation that he’d tried and failed to meet Taylor and give her his number when she performed at Arrowhead earlier this year on her Eras Tour.  Since then, both Travis and his brother Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, have been grilled relentlessly about what’s going on between Travis and Taylor, though neither brother has confirmed that the two are actually involved.

On Thursday, September 21, during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Travis revealed he invited Taylor to watch him play. “I threw the ball in her court,” he said. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead.’ We’ll see what happens in the near future.”

Of course, Taylor’s appearance at the game could be just a publicity stunt, but fans are shook. On the Taylor Swift Reddit thread, one wrote, “It’s over for the British boys.”

Taylor’s last few boyfriends, including Joe Alwyn, Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston, Harry Styles and, allegedly, The 1975 singer Matt Healy — have all been Brits.

MNRK Heavy

Ex-Atreyu frontman Alex Varkatzas has released a new song with his Dead Icarus project.

The track is called “The Vultures Circle,” and Varkatzas describes it as “the heaviest song I’ve ever been involved with.”

“It’s an ‘F you’ to the cancel culture that has infected society,” he says. “‘Savior, Saint, Sinner, or Thief. Live long enough you’ll die one of these.’ It doesn’t matter what’s living inside you; it’s just about what people wanna believe.”

You can listen to “The Vultures Circle” now via digital outlets. It follows the debut Dead Icarus single, “Sellout,” which premiered in August.

Varkatzas left Atreyu in 2020. Drummer and co-vocalist Brandon Saller has since moved from behind the kit to become the band’s full-time singer.

Harper Collins

Rush’s Geddy Lee is getting ready to release his new memoir, My Effin’ Life, on November 14, and he’ll be heading to the U.K. to promote it with a new spoken word tour.

Kicking off December 10 in Wolverhampton, England, the shows will feature Geddy reading key passages from the book. He’ll also be interviewed by a guest and take questions from fans.

“Writing this book has meant spending so much time living in the past. I’ve never lived my life looking anywhere but forward, which is why I resisted doing this kind of thing for so long,” Geddy shares. “Being in a band all those years was reassuring because it was an ongoing thing. It felt like it was forever.”

He added, “But you need a lot more determination to proceed in the world of music without the comfort of your bandmates, and I can only hope that finishing this book will release me to return to what I do and love best.”

The spoken word tour consists of five dates, wrapping December 18 in London. Venue presales begin Thursday, September 28, with the general sale happening Friday, September 29. Each ticket purchased will come with a copy of the book. A complete list of dates can be found at rush.com.

Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner were spotted out to dinner in New York City for the second time this week. According to People, the two pals dined at Barrière Fouquet Hotel with the Haim sisters. Their outing came hours after news broke that Sophie is suing her husband, Joe Jonas, for alleged wrongful retention of their two children. Taylor briefly dated Joe in 2008.

Selena Gomez’s new song is called “Single Soon,” and in a new TikTok video, the singer pokes fun at her single relationship status. She’s seen lip-synching to some audio that says, “Guess who has a boyfriend? Not me b**** y’all stay safe out there.”

BTS member SUGA has started his mandatory military service, but unlike the other members of the group, he’s been ruled unfit for regular combat duty due to his 2020 shoulder surgery, Korean’s Yonhap News Agency reports. Instead, SUGA, 30, will be a “social service agent,” the title given to military members who are performing alternative service. SUGA bid goodbye to fans in a message, saying, “I was able to come this far thanks to you, ARMY … I will do my utmost to fulfill my national duty … Stay healthy and let’s meet in 2025.”

A photo of Harry Styles in concert taken by Anthony Pham has won an award at the Abbey Road Music Photography Awards, handed out September 21 in London. The dynamic picture of Harry jumping in the air won in the category of Music Moment of the Year, which wasn’t surprising, since that category was voted on by the public.

If Jared Leto had recruited Chad Smith instead of his brother Shannon to play in Thirty Seconds to Mars, then this may be what they would’ve sounded like.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer attempts to play along with the Mars hit “The Kill” in a new video for the YouTube channel Drumeo, which asks drummers to put their spin on a song that they’ve never heard before.

“What the f*** was that?” Smith asks after hearing “The Kill” for the first time. “Is that, like, My Chemical Romance or something? … It’s some kind of emo thing, I don’t know what the f*** it is.”

While it may seem hard to believe that Smith never heard a single that at one point held the record for most weeks on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart, he shares that songs like “The Kill” are “not my normal wheelhouse.” Even still, Smith delivers a passionate and energetic performance alongside “The Kill,” even breaking a stick at one point.

“It was fun, because I love improvising and jamming to new music and whatever it is,” Smith says.

At the end of the video, he laughs, “Let’s get back to s*** that I know.”

You can hear plenty of that on RHCP’s two 2022 albums, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen.

Thirty Seconds to Mars, meanwhile, dropped a new record, It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day, earlier in September.

Kelly Clarkson may be single, but that doesn’t mean she’s looking for love. During an Instagram Live on Friday, she was asked if she had a boyfriend. “No! And not looking,” said the 41-year-old star. “You know why? I love being single. I have two kids, two dogs, three rabbits, a hamster, multiple jobs — there’s a lot going on. And, y’know, you think you’re going to spend the rest of your life with somebody, and you don’t. That’s hard to start over.”
