Paramore drummer Zac Farro has announced a new album with his halfnoise project.

The record is titled City Talk and will be released on November 17.

“I wanted it to feel like a night out,” Farro says of City Talk.

City Talk includes the previously released songs “Baby,” which Paramore played live during their 2023 tour, and “Cool Cat.” A third cut, titled “Love Fire,” is out now via digital outlets.

Paramore, meanwhile, recently shared a teaser video hinting at something to do with their new album, This Is Why. The clip provided three dates: September 28, October 2 and October 6; the first date marked the one-year anniversary of the “This Is Why” single.

Bad Wolves have dropped a new song called “Die About It,” the title track off the band’s upcoming album.

The track features rapping vocals from frontman Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz leading into the chorus, which goes, “No one cares who it is that you blame today/ Hope you find help you need/ So your soul can change/ I’m not your enemy/ Just set yourself free.” The song doesn’t specifically mention who it is about, but you may recall ex-Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext left the group under less-than-amicable circumstances.

You can listen to “Die About It” now via digital outlets and watch its accompanying video streaming on YouTube.

The album Die About It, Bad Wolves’ second with DL in the band, arrives November 3. It also includes the songs “Bad Friend” and “Legends Never Die.”

Bad Wolves are going on tour with Bush in November.

The second of three episodes of The Continental: From the World of John Wick is now streaming on Peacock.

Set in “the hell-scape of 1970s New York City,” it was up to director Albert Hughes, as well as Wick franchise producers Basil IwanykErica Lee and their production team, to recreate the bad old days of the Big Apple — very far from New York, no less.

One way of painting that landscape was through the music. The soundtrack is filled with hits from the era, from Heart to Gerry Rafferty to Pink Floyd. Hughes was the driving force behind it, and credits Peacock and Lionsgate with not pushing back, in spite of the hefty licensing fees.

Hughes explains to ABC Audio, “There was a certain budget for music at the beginning, and I go, like, ‘Oh you guys, it’s going to be three or four times that. There’s no way.'” One big chunk of that budget went to getting Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here track “Welcome To The Machine” for episode two; Hughes notes it was the most expensive song in the series.

To their credit, Hughes says the studios were all in. “I saw the music as a replacement for Keanu Reeves because I don’t have Keanu Reeves and a dead puppy,” he jokes. “So I need another kind of actor, you know, in theory, a personality, and it was the music. And it also helps with time and place and nostalgia, all that other good stuff.”

The Killers‘ “Mr. Brightside” was first released as a single on September 29, 2003 — 20 years ago Friday.

In a Facebook post acknowledging the anniversary, Brandon Flowers and company write, “20 years of ‘Mr. Brightside.’ Sounds as good as the first time we played it every time we play it.”

The post also includes a video montage of many different “Mr. Brightside” performances from over the last two decades.

“Mr. Brightside” was not only the lead single off The Killers’ debut album, 2004’s Hot Fuss, it was the band’s first single ever. It reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has become The Killers’ signature song and one of the defining tracks of the 2000s alternative scene.

The Killers have since released six more albums, the most recent being 2021’s Pressure Machine.

The Jonas BrothersNick, Joe and Kevin – wished a happy birthday to the “bonus Jonas,” their younger brother, Frankie. They all shared photos to their social media in celebration of Frankie turning 23 on Thursday, September 28. “Happy birthday to one of the coolest people I know,” Joe captioned his post. Frankie responded, “I wouldn’t know how to be cool if I didn’t have you to look up to.”

He may produce scary movies for a living, but Blumhouse founder Jason Blum says one thing scares him more than anything. “The one thing that scares me to death is Taylor Swift!” he jokes to Entertainment Weekly. So much so that he “bowed his head” and changed the release date of The Exorcist: Believer so it wouldn’t compete with Taylor’s Eras Tour concert film. Exorcist now comes out October 6, while Taylor’s movie comes out October 13.

And speaking of Taylor, “Cruel Summer” has become her longest-leading number one on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart. It tops the chart for the eighth week, surpassing her seven-week chart-topper “I Knew You Were Trouble” in 2013.

Pink’s collaboration with country star Chris Stapleton, “Just Say I’m Sorry,” took home the Crossover Song of 2023 award at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards Thursday night.

Melissa Etheridge posted a clip of the finale to her opening night performance of her Broadway show, My Window. “Wow – what a special opening night on BROADWAY!” she captioned it. “A special thank you to all the wonderful fans who came to see the show, and to all the people who helped make this happen. Broadway – here I am!”

Brad Paisley is previewing his upcoming album, Son Of The Mountains, with a four-song set titled Son Of The Mountains: The First Four Tracks.

Out now, the EP includes the previously released “Same Here” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and “So Many Summers,” alongside two brand new tunes: the vibrant Dan Tyminski and Jerry Douglas-assisted title track and the poignant “The Medicine Will.”

“Son of the Mountains” and “The Medicine Will,” which Brad wrote with Lee Thomas Miller, paint candidly contrasting depictions of Brad’s home state of West Virginia.

Of his forthcoming full-length album, Brad says the project “doesn’t shy away from reflecting real life and real situations going on in America and in our world today.”

“This is what I think country music is about, which is truth,” he adds.

Son Of The Mountains is slated to arrive in early 2024. While you wait, check out the first four tracks from the album now.

InsideOut Music

Former Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin has released the brand new song “Oklahoma” from his upcoming album, Rio, which will be his first solo album of vocal material in 34 years.

Rabin says the song was inspired by the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.

“It traumatized the entire nation and will always be a dark day for the country,” Rabin shares. “Thirty plus years later I believed the time was right and OK to tackle the song I had written. It’s dedicated to family and friends who lost loved ones.”

You can listen to “Oklahoma” now via digital outlets and watch the video on YouTube.

Rio, named after Rabin’s granddaughter, is available for preorder now.
