Yes’ 1971 hit The Yes Album will be reissued next month as an expanded box set.
The Yes Album (Super Deluxe Edition), dropping November 24, will contain four CDs, a Blu-ray and an LP. It will feature a newly remastered version of the album on both CD and LP, expanded to include rarities, instrumentals and early takes. It will also feature new mixes, including a Dolby Atmos mix.
In addition, there will be two previously unreleased concerts from 1971, recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden, and New Haven, Connecticut, with live performances of tracks like “Yours Is No Disgrace,” “Perpetual Change,” “Astral Traveller,” “Everydays” and more.
“The Yes Album represents to me the invention of 70’s Yes. This was aided by leaving outside material off the record and heavily investing in the influences we brought together, particularly the arrangement skills and utilizing the available best technology,” Yes guitarist Steve Howe shares. “Our adventurism shows in the originality of the music and lyrics, as none of us had done anything quite like this before.”
The Yes Album (Super Deluxe Edition) will also be released digitally and on streaming platforms. You can listen to the first track from the set, an early version of “I’ve Seen All Good People,” now via digital outlets and YouTube.
Released February 1971, The Yes Album was the third studio album from the band. It was their first to feature Howe and their last with keyboardist Tony Kaye, who later returned for 1983’s 90125. It was a huge commercial success for Yes and went Platinum by the RIAA.

Legendary blues-rock singer Janis Joplin was found dead in her room at the Landmark Motor Hotel in Los Angeles. She was only 27. She passed away from a heroin overdose.
Joplin had gained fame as one of the most electrifying performers of her era, thanks to appearances at the Monterey Pop Festival as lead singer of Big Brother and the Holding Company and later as a solo artist at Woodstock.
She died during the recording of her second solo album, Pearl, which was released after her death and spent nine weeks at #1. It included a cover of Kris Kristofferson’s “Me and Bobby McGee,” which became her only #1 hit.
Other well-known Joplin tunes include covers of “Piece of My Heart” and “Cry Baby” as well as her original tune “Mercedes Benz,” which was her final recording.
Joplin was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.

Not many people can say they smoked with Snoop Dogg, but Ed Sheeran can — and he recently opened up about the experience.
The English singer-songwriter, appearing on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, revealed that he couldn’t resist the opportunity to share a smoke session with the iconic rapper, even though he’s not a regular cannabis user himself.
Ed explained that in the dressing room before a concert in Melbourne, Australia, he found himself surrounded by a chain of blunts being passed around.
“I’m like, ‘I guess at some point during the night I have to, just to be like, “I smoked with Snoop Dogg,”’” he recalled.
So, when the blunt made its way to Ed, he figured, “Now’s the time,” and helped himself.
“So I have a bit, and I was like, ‘I don’t feel too bad. This is good.’ Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more,” Ed shared, before revealing the effect it had on him.
“I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.’”
Although Ed may not be much of a smoker, he does like a drink. He recently celebrated the release of his latest album, Autumn Variations, with a pub crawl around New York.
Britney Spears’ memoir hasn’t even hit shelves yet, but the pop star seems to be hinting at a sequel.
Taking to social media, Britney shared a video montage of herself on a private jet, showing off the crystal blue waters beneath her and then later cutting to footage of herself riding a horse.
“Riding ’n writing,” she captioned the October 3 post. “All I’m doing at the moment … volume 2 coming after 1!!! #TheWomanInMe.”
Britney is set to release her memoir, The Woman in Me, on October 24, offering fans a candid look at her life.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Krayzie Bone is giving an update on his health following his unexpected hospitalization last week.
The 50-year-old posted an Instagram photo of himself sitting next to his hospital bed, writing, “Just fought for life Literally for 9 days straight. And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way fighting for me.”
He continued, “Never take life for granted enjoy it while have you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me I needed every last one of them.”
Krayzie, born Anthony Henderson, reportedly checked himself into the hospital after coughing up blood. Sources told AllHipHop that he underwent immediate surgery to stop the bleeding, which was caused by a leaking artery in one of his lungs.
