Humble Pie will release an expansive, eight-CD collection — The A&M CD Box Set (1970-1975) — featuring remastered versions of the seven albums the legendary English blues-boogie band issued on the A&M label, on December 2.

The A&M CD Box Set will be similar to Humble Pie’s nine-LP A&M Vinyl Box Set (1970-1975), which was released in 2017, although the new collection will offer an extra disc featuring 14 bonus tracks, including B sides, rarities and more, five of which are unreleased.

The albums featured in the package are 1970’s Humble Pie, 1971’s Rock On and the Performance Rockin’ the Fillmore live album, 1972’s Smokin’, 1973’s Eat It, 1974’s Thunderbox and 1975’s Street Rats.

Humble Pie was formed in 1969 by Small Faces singer/guitarist Steve Marriott; Peter Frampton, lead singer and guitarist of The Herd; Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridley; and drummer Jerry Shirley. Frampton left the group to pursue a solo career in 1971. He was replaced by Clem Clempson, of the band Colosseum, who played with Humble Pie until its 1975 breakup.

Humble Pie’s most successful album was Smokin’, which peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold for sales of 500,000 in the U.S. The album included the song “Hot n’ Nasty,” which reached #52 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song “Big Black Dog,” a non-album track from 1970 that was Humble Pie’s first single released on A&M, has been made available as an advance track from The A&M CD Box Set. The tune also appears on the collection’s disc of bonus tunes.

You can preorder the CD box set now.

John Waite is the subject of a new documentary titled John Waite — The Hard Way, which will premiere on December 6 via a variety of on-demand streaming services.

The film will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray at Amazon.com.

The documentary features candid interviews with the 1980s pop-rock star shot during the COVID-19 shutdown, while the singer was dealing with the isolation and inability to tour because of the health crisis.

The movie looks at Waite’s whole career, from his years fronting the pop-rock group The Babys, to his successful solo career, to his work with the supergroup Bad English — which also featured Journey‘s Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain — and beyond.

The documentary includes rare archival footage and photos, as well as interviews with award-winning songwriter Diane Warren, guitarist Neil Giraldo and many others. The movie also features footage of Waite touring with Ringo Starr‘s All Starr Band and his collaboration with acclaimed country/bluegrass artist Alison Krauss.

“Opening the front door at the crack of dawn in my boxers to a film crew signified how the documentary would go,” says Waite about the making of the movie. “It’s an unvarnished take on my life, just the cold, hard truth.”

You can check out a trailer for John Waite — The Hard Way now on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Waite has a couple of U.S. headlining gigs in late October that will be followed by a series of dates opening for Christopher Cross next month. Check out his full schedule at JohnWaiteWorldwide.com.

Gunna will remain behind bars following a denied request Thursday to be released from jail.

According to Billboard, an Atlanta judge made the decision to deny the rapper bond in connection to his case on gang-related charges, citing fear of witness intimidation.

“I still have the same concerns that have not been otherwise alleviated,” Judge Ural Glanville said. Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, had been denied pretrial release twice before for the same reason.

At Thursday’s hearing, prosecutors claimed a codefendant offered to “whack someone” on Gunna’s behalf. Gunna’s lawyer, Steven Sadow, argued against it, but the judge proceeded with keeping him in jail.

Gunna’s supporters who were present in the courtroom were not happy with the outcome, says Billboard; Glanville said he’d make arrests if they didn’t calm down.

Gunna, alongside fellow rapper Young Thug, is one of two dozen people who were indicted in a Fulton County RICO case involving Young Slime Life, an alleged Atlanta gang. Gunna surrendered to authorities in May and is currently facing one count of conspiracy to violate RICO.

Gunna will remain in jail until his trial in January.

Tina Turner scored her first — and only — #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 1, 1984, when “What’s Love Got to Do with It” topped the chart. Tina’s late-career triumph — she was 44 when the song hit the top — has now been immortalized by … Barbie.

Mattel’s Barbie has launched a Tina Turner doll capturing the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll at that moment in her career. Specifically, the doll is modeled after the outfit Tina wore in the video for “What’s Love Got to Do with It” — a denim jacket, leather miniskirt, fishnets and high heels. Her hair is big and spiky, just as it is in the video.

Tina has approved of the doll, saying in a statement, “I am honored to welcome my Barbie into the group of trailblazing women already represented and introduce more kids to my journey.”

The doll is part of the Barbie Signature Music Series and is available now at Amazon, Target, Walmart and via MattelCreations.com.

While fans are rejoicing at Tom DeLonge rejoining Blink-182, his return means Matt Skiba is no longer in the band. In an Instagram post, DeLonge shares a message that he sent to Skiba expressing his gratitude to the Alkaline Trio frontman for his time and contribution to Blink.

“I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all that you have done to keep the band alive and thriving in my absence,” the message reads. “I think you are enormously talented (I still love to listen to your band to this day).”

“You have always been so kind to me, not only in the press, but also to others,” DeLonge continues. “I really noticed.”

DeLonge notes that “emotions” between him and Blink members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker “have always been complicated,” adding that Hoppus’ recent cancer battle “really put things in perspective.”

“But to be honest, the band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day,” DeLonge writes of Skiba. “So from my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.”

Skiba joined Blink in 2015 following DeLonge’s departure and played on the band’s last two albums, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine. California debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.

With DeLonge now back in the band, Blink is planning a world tour in 2023. They’ve also recorded what DeLonge calls “the best album of our career.” Its first single, “Edging,” will drop Friday.

After wrapping her first string of dates on her Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency, Miranda Lambert came home to dinner, made with love by her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

The country superstar made her very first Instagram Reel to commemorate the occasion. “I think I did it. Trying to keep up!” she said in the caption, showing a spread of a cheesy, saucy baked dish, plus pasta.

“We made it back from Vegas feeling both fulfilled and tuckered out from being gone a month,” she said. “Ain’t no welcome home like some homemade happiness by [Brendan McLoughlin].”

Even the couple’s pets got in on the celebration: One shot in Miranda’s Reel shows her hand-feeding pasta to a pair of excited dogs.

“Mutts eating pasta should be a thing…lady and the tramp movie! Anyone?” the singer joked.

Miranda heads back out to Vegas for more Velvet Rodeo dates in late November.

Olivia Rodrigo name-checked Glee in her breakup anthem “deja vu” — and has now met one of the stars of the series, Lea Michele.

Olivia attended the Wednesday night performance of Funny Girl and the two shared a moment backstage.

The Broadway actress, who is playing lead Fanny Brice in the musical, shared an Instagram photo of them posing together, with her hand resting on Olivia’s shoulder. Olivia’s holding onto the musical’s Playbill book and smiling.

Olivia saluted the early aughts with her outfit, opting to wear large gold hoop earrings, a black spaghetti strap tank with a high neckline, and a black-and-white plaid mini skirt with a black sweater tied around her hips.

“This beautiful girl came to see @funnygirlbwy last night,” Michele captioned the sweet photo. “loved seeing you @oliviarodrigo absolutely adore you!” She also shared the same photo to her Instagram Story and wrote, “I [love] you Olivia.”

Olivia was touched by the shoutout and ran to the comments to share her excitement. “LOVE U! U WERE INCREDIBLE!!!!” she wrote in all capital letters.

Of course, fans of the two are now hoping they jump into the studio for a collab. Others are calling for Olivia to follow in Michele’s footsteps on Broadway so she can combine her love of acting, singing and theater.

So very ’Special’: Lizzo shares “hidden” love for Radiohead growing up

So very ’Special’: Lizzo shares “hidden” love for Radiohead growing up
ABC

Thom Yorke famously wished to be “special” on Radiohead‘s breakout hit “Creep.” Perhaps that’s what inspired Lizzo to name her new album Special.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the “Truth Hurts” artist shares that she was a big Radiohead fan growing up. However, that wasn’t something she was eager to share with her friends at the time.

“It was a Black school, mostly Black and brown, Caribbean, I had Nigerian friends,” Lizzo explains. “They were all listening to what was on the radio: Usher, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris, and I was into Radiohead’s OK Computer.”

Lizzo adds that she kept her Radiohead fandom hidden so that she wouldn’t be “made fun of by my peers.”

“I wanted to be accepted so bad; not fitting in really hurt,” she says.

In addition to her love for Radiohead, Lizzo says she sang in a “very Mars Volta–influenced” prog rock band when she was 19 or 20.

While Radiohead may not have actually inspired Lizzo’s Special, the album does include a tribute to another English band with its closing song, which is called “Coldplay.”

Cher lists her mansion in Malibu for $85 million

Cher is ready to move out of the Malibu mansion she’s owned since 1989 and has listed it for a whopping $85 million.

The Wall Street Journal reports Cher’s home sits on a 1.7-acre lot overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This isn’t the first time the singer has tried selling the property, however.

Back in 2009, Cher listed the Italian Renaissance-style estate for $45 million.

So, what makes this property worth $85 million, besides the fact a living legend lived there for over 30 years?  For starters, the mansion offers 13,200 square feet of living space, which includes seven bedrooms. In addition, it offers luxury perks like an infinity pool, meditation room, indoor-outdoor gym, courtyard with a fountain, tennis court, theater and a detached gatehouse on the property.

As for the most on-brand Cher thing the house could offer, it comes with a climate-controlled wig room.

“From every room, there is an ocean view,” Cher told the outlet. She said she would host “intimate dinners in the family dining room,” as well as “tented parties in the courtyard and pool area,” depending on party size.

The gated property, which boasts a driveway lined with over three dozen palm trees, also comes with added security, like a panic room that doubles as a closet.

It should be noted that while Cher bought the place in 1989, she rebuilt the mansion in 1999.

No reason was given for why the singer is moving on from her beloved home. That said, if you want to own a piece of Cher’s history and have $85 million to burn, there’s a house in Malibu with your name on it.
