Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett has teamed up with Epiphone for a new signature guitar.

The Kirk Hammett 1979 Flying V recreates the shredder’s own Flying V guitar and comes in ebony and purple metallic finishes. It costs $1299.

“I am extremely honored to be able to put out an Epiphone Flying V today,” Hammett says. “Epiphone represents great sounding guitars at accessible prices, which is fundamentally important for up-and-coming musicians. “Dreaming,” a new Sting, Pink and Marshmello collaboration that reworks Sting’s 1993 hit “Fields of Gold,” has landed the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer back on the pop and dance charts.

As Billboard notes, the song enters the publication’s Adult Pop Airplay chart at #34, which is the highest Sting has gotten on that ranking since 2006 when he teamed with Sheryl Crow for the #11 single “Always On Your Side.”

The song also enters Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart at #1 and the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at #12.

Marshmello came up with the idea for “Dreaming.” In an Instagram video documenting the collaboration, Sting says, “I always like it when [a] different mind takes one of my songs and adds something of their own to it. I never feel that possessive. I’m always interested to know where it can go. A song is just a template for something else.”

“Dreaming” is one of the new tracks on the Tour Deluxe Edition of Pink’s album Trustfall, which comes out December 1.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Sting has had a dance hit with a reworking of one of his classic songs. “Redlight,” a new version of his Police song “Roxanne” with Swedish House Mafia, peaked at #20 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in March of 2022.

Jordan Davis, Tyler Hubbard + Brothers Osborne talk favorite Halloween candy

What do Jordan DavisTyler Hubbard and Brothers Osborne have in common? Their love for Reese’s on Halloween.

“My favorite Halloween candy [is] probably Reese’s or M&M’s, although I love the variety of Starburst. It’s one that I feel like I only eat at Halloween because I feel like at Halloween one of the popular ones is the two-piece Starburst things. So, probably Reese’s, M&Ms and throw in some Starbursts,” shares Jordan.

Brothers Osborne’s TJ echoes Jordan but with a few more personal favorites.

“I would say, Snickers, Baby Ruth, Kit Kat and Reese’s too,” he shares.

Tyler, being a chocolate fan, naturally gravitates to those good ol’ peanut butter cups. However, during Halloween, another candy tops Reese’s.

“Ooooohhh—I’m a chocolate guy, so I do love just a good ole Reese’s or a good ole Snickers, but when it comes to classic Halloween candy, I still, I like ole candy corn. I do. I like candy corn,” says Tyler. “Maybe it’s nostalgic, all that sugar, a couple of good cavities, remind you of childhood.”

Jon Pardi is on the same page as Tyler.

“Man! The candy corn is pretty good, and that’s seasonal, so it only kinda pops out during Halloween,” he says.

Seth Meyers says Taylor Swift was responsible for an ‘SNL’ moment he’d never seen before

When Taylor Swift hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in November of 2009, she discussed plenty of things in a very catchy and memorable “Monologue Song.” According to former SNL writer Seth Meyers, none of the writers had anything to do with it. Taylor wrote it herself and pitched it to him and Lorne Michaels.

Speaking to Howard Stern on October 30, Meyers said, “It really speaks to what a force of nature she is and the depths of her talent … here’s a 19-year-old who … nobody is really helping out. Nobody gave her a manual on how to do it. And yet, she came to us and said, ‘I wrote a song for the opening monologue.’”

He continued, “And I remember saying, ‘Oh God, that’s great.’ And she said, ‘Can I play it for you?’”

Meyers told Stern he took Taylor into Lorne Michael‘s office, and she performed the song for them.

“She sings this song, which is not only a beautiful song by a beautiful singer: It’s a perfect SNL monologue, fully formed,” Meyers recalled. “And it was, to this day, I’ve sort of never had a moment like that where someone brings you a fully gift-wrapped present and it’s exactly what you needed it to be.”

Meyers added that he wished, at the time, he would’ve told Taylor what they had written for her — which they ditched in favor of her song — so she would know “how much f****** worse it was.”

“Like, ‘Not only is your song great. But you can’t even imagine how s***** what we were doing for you is compared to how great what you did for yourself is,’” he said.

SZA’s “Snooze” is the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks to the hit song, the Grammy winner extended her record atop Billboard’s R&B Songwriters Chart by earning her 50th week at #1.

Also contributing to the milestone is “Slime You Out,” one of her most recent collaborations with Drake

Week 50 adds to SZA’s record in the top spot. Just a week prior, her 49-week lead surpassed The Weeknd, who had stayed at #1 for 48 weeks.

Additionally, SZA’s popular track “Kill Bill” spent 30 weeks at #1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

SZA joins a reputable list of songwriters who’ve spent 50 weeks or more at #1, including Elton John, who had a 53-week run, Bad Bunny‘s 93-week run and the top leader, Kirk Franklin, who’s notched 196 weeks in the top spot.

Earlier this year, Franklin became the first and only artist to lead the Songwriters Chart at 100 weeks or more.

The Rolling Stones are the latest artists to be honored with a Brit Billion Award by the British Phonographic Industry.

The award is given to artists who achieve one billion career U.K. streams, based on calculations by the Official Charts Company. Some of their most streamed tunes include “Paint It, Black,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Start Me Up.”

“Few artists have crossed generational divides in quite the way the Rolling Stones have. Their iconic songs and albums are era-defining, but the band remain as contemporary as ever,” says Dr. Jo Twist OBE, BPI chief executive. “The BPI is thrilled to honor them with a BRIT Billion Award, which underscores both the timeless appeal of their music and the extent to which they are now also connecting with a new wave of fans thanks to streaming.”

The Stones are now the longest active artists to receive a Brit Billion honor. They are one of 25 artists who have earned the award, including ABBA, Queen, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.

In other Rolling Stones news, the band’s new album, Hackney Diamonds, has now reached #1 in 14 countries, including the U.K., Germany, Australia, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand and more. In the U.S., it debuted at #3.
