Metallica continues to make history with their M72 tour.

The metal legends’ concerts at St. Louis’ The Dome at America’s Center on November 3 and 5 now hold the title for selling the most tickets to an event at the stadium.

“Over 100,000 tickets were sold to our No Repeat Weekend gigs at The Dome, setting the record for most tickets sold for any event since the venue opened in 1995!” Metallica writes in a Facebook post. “Thanks for coming out to see us, St. Louis!”

Notably, The Dome used to be home to the St. Louis Rams football team, which has since relocated to Los Angeles.

Metallica previously broke the single-show attendance record at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium during the M72 tour, which supports the band’s latest album, 72 Seasons.

On Halloween, Lamb of God kicked off their inaugural Headbangers Boat concert cruise. While the seafaring event featured numerous crushing metal performances from bands including LoG, Hatebreed, Testament, Lacuna Coil and GWAR, it took a dark turn when a passenger went overboard.

In a Facebook post calling Headbangers Boat “truly one of the most special celebrations of heavy metal,” Lamb of God notes, “It was shocking that a joyous occasion could so quickly turn tragic.”

“While we don’t know all of the specifics, we know every single person on that boat is part of our family, and we witnessed everyone onboard experience grief at the loss of one of our own,” LoG writes. “We couldn’t have been more proud of how the metal community on board rallied together to support each other and celebrate heavy metal in the only way we know how.”

The bands adds, “This music community truly is just that — a community.”

According to People, the passenger remains missing after an unsuccessful search. A spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with [the passenger’s] loved ones during this difficult time.”

Graham Nash and Joni Mitchell broke up more than 50 years ago, but he still remembers her birthday.

On Tuesday, November 7, Joni’s 80th birthday, Nash posted a photo of the legendary singer-songwriter as a young woman on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Happy Birthday, Joan. Wishing you a beautiful day.” Nash and Mitchell dated between 1968 and 1970, and she inspired the CSNY song “Our House.”

In other Graham Nash news, the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will receive the John Lennon Real Love award at the Theatre Within’s 43rd annual John Lennon Tribute concert, scheduled for December 2 in New York City’s Town Hall. Nash will play some of his favorite songs by The Beatles and John Lennon at the event, which will also feature Rosanne Cash, Marc Cohn, soul singer Bettye LaVette and Judy Collins.

“This is a very special award. I thank Yoko and the Theatre Within for thinking of me,” says Nash in a statement. “Over many years, I watched John and Yoko ‘fight the good fight’ for many whose voices were not being heard, a fight that Yoko continues to this day. I’m proud to be associated with the many fine artists who were previously honored with the John Lennon Real Love Award.”

Proceeds for the show will support Theatre Within’s free workshops, including the John Lennon Real Love Project songwriting program. Tickets are available now at LennonTribute.org.

Kenny Chesney has announced his Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour.

Named after his 2004 hit with Uncle Kracker, “When the Sun Goes Down,” the trek kicks off April 20 in Tampa, Florida, and will wrap in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on August 23.

Joining Kenny on tour are Zac Brown BandMegan Moroney and Uncle Kracker.

“I wanted a name that suggested — obviously — when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going. But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves,” says Kenny.

“That was the thing about Uncle Kracker and my song. It captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly,” he shares. “No matter how much fun you’re having all day long, ‘everything gets hotter when the sun goes down…’ I know from years of experience that’s true.”

“I can’t wait to get back out there, stadium-sized ’cause there’s nothing like 60,000 members of No Shoes Nation singing these songs,” he adds. “It’s gonna be awesome.”

Tickets for the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour go on sale Friday, November 17. For a full list of dates, visit Kenny’s website.

Offset joined forces with Vevo to release a live performance of one of his latest songs, “On the River.”

The nearly two-minute visual, curated as part of Vevo’s Ctrl series, marks the rapper’s debut performance with his toddler son, Wave Set Cephus.

With Wave in his arms, Offset stands in front of a studio microphone and raps the intro track. At one point in the video, Wave, who dons his own set of blinged-out necklaces, admires his dad’s neck full of jewelry. The 2-year-old then rocks out to the music with a fist pump-of-sorts before letting out a cute shout at the end.

“Good job, boy,” Offset says to Wave before a round of applause breaks out.

“On the River” is the first of 21 tracks included on the rapper’s second solo album, Set it Off, released back in September.

Barbra Streisand‘s long-awaited memoir, My Name Is Barbra, is out now, and it features endless stories about her encounters with people she’s worked with over the years. One such encounter has been excerpted by People, and it involves Barbra’s co-star in YentlMandy Patinkin.

Patinkin played Avigdor, the love interest of Barbra’s character Yentl, in the movie. She writes that a week into shooting the film, which she was also directing, the actor started acting odd, so she called him into her dressing room and asked him what was wrong.

“His face crumpled and he said, ‘I thought we were going to have a more personal relationship,’” she writes. “‘What?’ I had no idea what he was talking about. [He said], ‘I thought we were going to have an affair.’”

She writes that she looked at Patinkin “as if he were crazy” because she was not only married at the time, but would never have an affair with an actor she was directing. Plus, she wasn’t attracted to him.

“I didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so I simply said, ‘I don’t operate that way,’” she writes. “Tears rolled down his cheeks. And I suddenly realized what this was really about. I wasn’t paying enough attention to him as a man… or at least not the kind of attention he wanted.”

Barbra told him to shape up or he was off the movie. She writes Patinkin later revealed he gave her a “hard time” on set because he was scared.

This Election Day, Taylor Swift wants her fans to speak now.

On Tuesday, November 7, Taylor encouraged her American fans to make their voices heard by voting in the federal, state and local elections. The global superstar took to her Instagram Story to post the encouragement, referencing her hit song “Shake it Off.”

“Voters gonna vote!” Taylor wrote to her 275 million followers. “It’s Election Day! If you are registered to vote in Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia, it’s time to use your voice.”

Taylor made sure to recommend voters be prepared before heading out to cast their ballots.

“Find out what’s on your ballot before you arrive to the polls,” Taylor continued, before linking to the See What’s On Your Ballot tool from Vote.org. This post is the result of an ongoing partnership between Taylor and Vote.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit voter recognition website.

“Taylor Swift is one of the busiest people in the world, but she always has time to stand up for democracy, use her own voice and encourage her fans and followers to use theirs,” Andrea Hailey, CEO of Vote.org, said in a statement. “Her posts have created huge spikes in traffic to our website, resulting in tens of thousands of new registrations …We’re thrilled that Taylor consistently uses her massive platform to encourage voting as an ongoing practice, not just something that people should do once every four years.”
