They’re good, and they’re feeling alright. David Guetta and Bebe Rexha will perform at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, where they’re also finalists in three categories. David Bowie is no longer with us, but his style will live on forever.
Designer John Varvatos has launched a limited-edition capsule collection inspired by the late rocker’s iconic style. Among the items are a leather trench coat, a geometric patterned shirt inspired by the backdrop of a candid shot of Bowie on the set of The Man Who Fell To Earth and a striped shirt inspired by a photo of Bowie taken while he was recording his 1973 album, Pin Ups.
There’s also a suit jacket and pants with a subtle lightning bolt design inspired by the Aladdin Sane album, a crewneck sweater inspired by the 2003 Reality album and a bomber jacket with “David Bowie” embroidered on the back in the same font used on the artist’s 1987 album, Never Let Me Down.
Slightly more affordable — but only slightly — are a series of Bowie T-shirts. Those “only” cost between $168 and $198 each. You can check out the entire David Bowie X JV collection at JohnVarvatos.com, as well as John Varvatos stores and select North American specialty stores.
Duane “Keffe D” Davis made a brief appearance in court Tuesday, where a Nevada judge set a June 3 date for the murder trial related to the 1996 killing of TupacShakur.
According to The Associated Press, Davis, the only person ever charged in the drive-by shooting of the rap icon, spoke quietly to two court-appointed attorneys who were appointed to his case before he pleaded not guilty to murder Thursday, November 2.
Per ABC News, Davis’ arraignment had been delayed twice as he sorted out his representation, resulting in the appointment of a public defender.
Davis, 60, was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on one count of open murder with use of a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement in September, nearly 30 years after Tupac’s death. He has been detained since being arrested near his Las Vegas-area home on September 29.
Davis — who has admitted to being in the Cadillac Tupac occupied at the time of the shooting — is accused of orchestrating the “retaliatory shooting” that killed the rapper.
Tupac died on September 7, 1996, at the age of 25, six days after being shot while in a car near the Las Vegas Strip.
David Byrne‘s Broadway musical Here Lies Love, which he co-wrote with “Praise You” artist Fatboy Slim, will close November 26 after 33 previews and 150 performances.
In a statement, the producers said, “Succeeding on Broadway means not only producing excellent work with artistic merit — it also means creating the audience for it. And how much time it takes to find and grow new audiences is out of sync with the tight timeframes for audience-building and awareness.” Or, as Varietyputs it, the show suffered from “lackluster ticket sales.”
Here Lies Love is a musical about the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos, the former first lady of the Philippines. It features the first all-Filipino acting company on Broadway and broke new ground with its innovative staging. Its theater was completely redesigned to mimic a night club, with the orchestra seats removed to create a dance floor where audience members can stand among the performers.
The show will be filmed for the archives of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and it may mount international productions in Japan and Australia.
Byrne’s previous Broadway musical production, American Utopia — in which he starred and performed — had two separate Broadway runs between 2019 and 2022 and spun off a Spike Lee-directed film.

The eight-time Grammy winner has added another music achievement to his repertoire: he earned another #1 on the Billboard charts.
“Good Good,” Usher’s hit collaboration with SummerWalker and 21Savage, has topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking the singer’s 16th song to nab the top spot.
“Mann..I just want to take the time to thank each and every person that has supported ‘Good Good’! Y’all helped me collect my 16th No.1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart!!” he wrote on Instagram.
The single, expected to show up on Usher’s forthcoming album, also landed among the top 10 songs leading Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart; it’s his 29th track to do so.
“Keep sharing your videos, remixes, all that. Know that I see U and I can’t thank U enough,” he said.
The music feat arrives a little over a month after the R&B crooner announced he’ll be headlining the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on February 11.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
As for Summer Walker, “Good Good” is her fourth Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart top 10; it is 21 Savage’s 30th top 10.
Bad Bunny doesn’t want you to stream the popular AI song that mimics his voice.
An online creator named FlowGPT has made a song using artificial intelligence that sounds as though it is sung by Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber and Daddy Yankee. The song, called “nostalgIA,” was created using a pretrained song generator, and Bad Bunny does not approve of it.
“If you like that s***** song that is viral on TikTok, get out of this group right now,” Bad Bunny wrote. “You don’t deserve to be my friends and that’s why I made the new album, to get rid of people like that. So choo choo out.”
He also said he doesn’t want people who enjoy the song to come see him at any of the 47 shows during his 2024 North American stadium tour, the Most Wanted Tour.
“My god,” Bad Bunny wrote. “I don’t want them on the tour either.”

Luke Combs‘s cover of Tracy Chapman‘s “Fast Car” has become one of country music’s biggest hits of the year. The song is vying for Song of the Year and Single of the Year at the upcoming CMA Awards.
While the two artists haven’t crossed paths or spoken to each other, Luke hopes it happens one day.
“You know, she’s such an incredible musician [and] songwriter. I’m lucky that the song has done what it’d done, and I’m thankful for her writing that song all those years ago,” Luke tells ABC Audio. “It’s one of my first favorite [songs] ever, probably.”
“Fast Car” is Luke’s latest #1 song, but as he recounts, there were no plans to send it to radio as a single.
“I really just recorded it for me to enjoy and people started playing it on the radio,” shares Luke. “We never [went] like, ‘We’re going to push it as a single.’ That was never [the plan]. It just had this life of its own because it’s such a great song and it’s so ingrained in our collective conscience as a country. I mean, it’s like it’s an all-time song. So all credit to her for that, for sure.”
The 57th CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, November 8, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
