The Hu and The Warning have premiered the videos for their respective new songs, “Lost Soul” and “Ego.”

“Lost Soul” finds The Hu performing in a dark chamber that has a giant brain on the wall, cut with footage of a mysterious figure walking through the snow. It also features Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins, who sings on the track.

The song “Lost Soul,” which dropped on Wednesday, will appear on the upcoming Hu album Hun, due out July 24.

Meanwhile, in “Ego,” we see The Warning rocking sunglasses as they strut past a sea of microphones and cameras.

“This music video is all about reclaiming your power, embracing confidence, and standing tall in your identity… even when the world is watching,” The Warning says in a statement.

“Ego,” which is sung in Spanish, first dropped Monday. It follows the single “Kerosene.”

The Hu is currently on tour with Apocalyptica, while The Warning is on the road with Yungblud.

Miley Cyrus received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.

The Grammy Award winner and actress, beloved for her role in the popular Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana, was presented with the honor in a star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles.

Cyrus was all smiles as she accepted the honor, calling it a moment she would never forget.

In a speech, Cyrus spoke about her song “Walk of Fame,” off her 2025 Something Beautiful album, which was co-written by Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard. Howard also contributed vocals and played guitar on the track.

Cyrus noted Friday that the song ends with Howard singing the words, “You’ll live forever.”

“Although I love the lyric, the fact I won’t [live forever] is what creates the urgency that sets my heart on fire, my life and my art, and my desire to break down the walls of any boxes that we’ve been tricked to believe that exist,” she said.

She continued, “My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer — so does a star on the Walk of Fame by the way — and it’s not about the force, but it’s about the repetition. What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion.”

Cyrus then reflected on her future legacy, which she said she hopes extends far beyond the star itself.

“The star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for, and then tote it around like a trophy,” she said.

“At 1 [p.m.], this moment will be over, and it’ll go back to being a busy street full of unique people and people that are here exploring for the first time, our city that we all share and that we love so much,” she continued. “After today, I commit to continuing the cycle full of creation, because that is what I truly live for.”

“My hope is what I leave behind continues to affect the hearts of generations to come, ones that I won’t be here to experience,” she added. “I hope it awakens something raw and imperfect and sexy and glamorous and joyful in times that need it.”

Cyrus closed her speech by thanking her fans, her family — her mom Tish Cyrus and sister Brandi Cyrus attended Friday’s event — and “her future family,” a nod to her fiancé, musician Maxx Morando, who was also in attendance.

You may not know saxophonist Dick Parry’s name, but if you’re a Pink Floyd fan, you’ve heard his work on some of the band’s best-known tracks. Guitarist David Gilmour has paid tribute to Parry, who he says passed away on May 22 at 83 years old.

“My dear friend Dick Parry died this morning. Since I was seventeen, I have played in bands with Dick on saxophone, including Pink Floyd,” Gilmour wrote on Instagram. “His feel and tone make his saxophone playing unmistakable, a signature of enormous beauty that is known to millions and is such a big part of songs such as Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Us and Them and Money.”

Gilmour continued, “He played in the last band I had that included Rick Wright for the On An Island Tour and at Live 8 with Pink Floyd.”

Gilmour also shared several photos of him playing with Parry throughout the years, including one of a performance in Cambridge, England in 1963, years before they’d experienced any success.

In addition to the songs that Gilmour named, Parry also played on the 1994 Pink Floyd album, The Division Bell, and joined the band for every live performance from 1973 to 1977, and again in 1994.

Floyd wasn’t the only legendary band Parry played with: He toured as part of The Who’s brass section in 1979 and 1980, and played on Who bassist John Entwistle’s 1975 solo album, Mad Dog.

If you hoped that Taylor Swift might announce something during the American Music Awards on Monday, you’re out of luck: People reports that the singer will not be attending the show, despite being the lead nominee.

Taylor’s up for eight nominations, including artist of the year and album of the year for The Life of a Showgirl. She already has 40 AMAs on her trophy shelf, making her the most-awarded artist in the show’s history.

As People notes, if Taylor sweeps all the categories in which she’s nominated, she’ll tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the artist with the most wins in a single year.

As previously reported, Queen Latifah will host the show live from Las Vegas on Monday night; it will air on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET.

In the past, Taylor has announced new albums on award shows, though not the AMAs. She revealed at the 2024 Grammys that she was dropping The Tortured Poets Department and announced the upcoming release of Midnights at the 2022 MTV VMAs.

Paul Mescal is portraying Paul McCartney in the upcoming quartet of Beatles films being made by Sam Mendes, so Amazon Music has tapped Mescal to interview McCartney about his new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.

The Boys of Dungeon Lane: In Conversation with Paul McCartney & Paul Mescal premieres Monday on Amazon Music and Amazon Live, and there’s a sneak peek of it on Instagram. In it, McCartney and Mescal sit in the “Dungeon Lane Cafe,” have tea and chat.

“There’s this actor, Peter Ustinov,” McCartney says. “And he said he liked doing interviews, because it allowed him to know what he was thinking.”

“About a project?” Mescal replies. “About anything,” McCartney answers.

“How do you feel about being interviewed?” Mescal asks McCartney. “You know what? It depends if I like the person,” smiles McCartney.

“OK, bro,” laughs Mescal, as McCartney continues, jokingly, “Which is where we’re running into a problem.”

And yes, Mescal really called Sir Paul McCartney “bro.”

The Boys of Dungeon Lane is out May 29.

It’s well known that Dolly Parton traces her musical talent to her mother’s side of the family, but did you know her mom actually recorded an album?

Avie Lee Parton’s Smoky Mountain Mama record has now been remastered and is available to stream.

The collection of mountain ballads and folk songs was recorded in 1974 and 1979 at Dolly’s urging, as a way to preserve the music the Parton kids had grown up hearing. It didn’t come out until 1990, when it was only available on cassette at Dollywood and through mail-order.

As a teen, Avie Lee sang in a gospel trio with her sisters. She later formed a gospel group with her daughters Willadeen, Stella and Cassie. They recorded an album titled The Parton Family Sings In the Garden, which was reissued in 2024.

Recorded in Nashville, Smoky Mountain Mama features “Little Rosewood Casket,” which morphed into “Rosewood Casket” for Dolly, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris’ first Trio album in 1987.

Dolly’s often championed her mother’s significant impact on her life, once telling Jennifer Nettles that Avie Lee was “me without the glitter” when she played her in a TV movie.

Is Madonna teasing another tour?

Madonna is going to release a sequel to her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, so would it be so strange for her to do a sequel to her 2006 Confessions Tour?

The Confessions Tour kicked off May 21, 2006 — exactly 20 years ago Thursday — and Madonna paid tribute to it on Instagram by posting a montage of scenes of herself onstage during that trek. She wrote in the caption, “Happy 20th anniversary!! Confessions Tour-Part 1.”

The words “Part 1” grabbed fans’ attention, with one commenting, “TOUR PART ONE???!?” and another writing, “COME ON NEW TOUR!”

In April, when asked if Madonna would be touring, her manager, Guy Oseary, said, “I’m not sure yet.”

After he was initially misquoted as saying that he wasn’t sure she’d ever tour again, he later clarified, “That’s ridiculous. Of course she will tour again. She wants to share her music with her fans. Not sure yet the plans. Stay tuned!”

Madonna’s most recent outing was her Celebration Tour, which ran from 2023 to 2024 and grossed over $225 million.

Nicki Minaj showed support for Elon Musk Thursday by attending SpaceX’s test flight in Texas, where the company planned to launch its Starship rocket, testing its capabilities and durability.

Nicki appeared the on the SpaceX livestream, wearing a T-shirt with a Starship graphic, and encouraged fans to join her. “Barbz, come on down, because this is a lot of fun. I’m excited,” she said. “This is historic, this is a major moment y’all.”

She also noted that it was her first time attending a rocket launch.

“Major shoutout to Elon,” she continued.

Nicki later shared a video of herself posing and dancing in the outfit on X, captioning the post, “Even did a lil video for the Barbz. #Starbase #Starships.”

The launch was canceled after “the hydraulic pin holding the tower arm in place did not retract,” Elon later explained on X.

He’s the latest public figure Nicki has publicly supported, alongside President Donald Trump, a topic she addressed in a recent interview with TIME.

“Many celebrities feel the way I do, but they don’t say it,” she said of her support of Trump. “Sometimes you just need one brave person to get the brunt of the impact. I think I am the catalyst for that change.”

“Hopefully when they see me and hear me speak and feel my energy,” she continued, “that will make them say, ‘You know what: Who am I afraid of? What am I afraid of?’”
