Scorpions announce dates for new Las Vegas residency

Scorpions are returning to Las Vegas.

The German rockers have announced dates for a brand-new residency, Scorpions – Coming Home to Las Vegas, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the same venue where they headlined sold-out residencies in 2022, 2024 and 2025.

The new residency, with special guest Buckcherry, will consist of eight shows, beginning Sept. 17 and wrapping Oct. 3. A complete list of dates can be found at the-scorpions.com.

“Our residency in Las Vegas last year was pure rock ’n’ roll joy!! Unforgettable nights with fans from all over the world. That energy stayed with us, so coming back in 2026 just felt right” Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine said in a statement. “We can’t wait to return to Planet Hollywood and celebrate the music, the memories, and another round of rockin’ good times. Vegas … we’re gonna sting you again!”

A Scorpions fan club presale begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a Citi presale on Wednesday at 12 p.m. PT. Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.

Toadies announce new album, ’The Charmer’

Toadies have announced a new album called The Charmer.

The eighth studio effort from the “Possum Kingdom” rockers is due out May 1. It was recorded with Steve Albini at the late In Utero engineer’s Electrical Audio studio in Chicago prior to his death in 2024.

“This album has been a long time in the works, and it’s such a joy to see it come together,” says frontman Vaden Lewis. “We went back to basics for this session: all analogue, live takes, high energy.”

Toadies have also announced a U.S. tour in support of The Charmer, running from April 16 in Buda, Texas, to June 17 in Phoenix. Tickets go sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Young the Giant announces US tour behind upcoming ’Victory Garden’ album

Young the Giant has announced a U.S. tour in support of the band’s upcoming album, Victory Garden.

The trek kicks off May 24 in Las Vegas and will wrap up Aug. 9 in Indianapolis. Cold War Kids will also be on the bill while celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2006 debut album, Robbers & Cowards.

Almost monday will be opening the first half of the tour, while KennyHoopla will open the second.

Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

The Who’s ‘Tommy’ to be rereleased in IMAX theaters

The movie version of The Who’s rock opera Tommy is returning to theaters.

In celebration of the film’s 50th anniversary, Tommy is getting an exclusive two-day run in IMAX theaters, March 17 and 18.

Originally released in March 1975, Tommy, written and directed by Ken Russell, was based on The Who’s 1969 album of the same name.

The film follows a young boy named Tommy, who, after witnessing his father murder his mother’s lover, becomes deaf, dumb and blind. Despite this, he becomes an unlikely celebrity due to his pinball-playing skills and eventually inspires a cult following.

All members of The Who appeared in the film, with Roger Daltrey playing the title role. The cast also included Elton John, Eric Clapton, Ann-Margaret, Jack Nicholson, Oliver Reed and Tina Turner.

The film earned Ann-Margaret an Oscar nomination for best actress, while The Who’s Pete Townshend earned a nod for the score.

Listen to new Lana Del Rey song, ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’

Lana Del Rey has premiered a new song called “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.”

The track was produced with Jack Antonoff, who has worked with Del Rey on three of her previous albums. It was cowritten by Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, as well as her brother-in-law, Jason Pickens, and her sister, Chuck Grant.

Del Rey’s most recent album is 2023’s Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd. Her next album, which she said in 2025 would be called Stove, “is set for release in approximately three months,” according to a press release.

“More news to follow on this soon,” the release adds.

Poppy announces US summer tour

Poppy has announced a U.S. tour in support of her new album, Empty Hands.

The summer headlining outing kicks off July 7 in Washington, D.C., and concludes Aug. 19 in Nashville. Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band announce spring 2026 tour

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have announced a string of 2026 tour dates.

The 20-date Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour will launch March 31 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, with The Boss playing arenas in such cities as New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and more. The tour will wrap with an outdoor show on May 27 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

“We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming! Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C. for the Land of Hope And Dreams American Tour,” Springsteen says in a video posted to social media. “We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America — American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution and our sacred American dream — all of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C.”

He adds, “Everyone, regardless of where you stand or what you believe in, is welcome — so come on out and join the United Free Republic of E Street Nation for an American spring of Rock ‘n’ Rebellion! I’ll see you there!”

The tour comes just weeks after Springsteen released the protest song “Streets of Minneapolis,” which he wrote in response to what’s been happening in Minnesota, including the fatal shootings of two protesters, Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

The tour will mark Springsteen’s first North American tour since 2024. His last tour, in 2025, brought him and The E Street Band to Europe and the U.K.

The Head and the Heart announce tour celebrating 15th anniversary of debut album

The Head and the Heart have announced a U.S. tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of the band’s 2011 self-titled debut album.

The outing spans from May 1 in Nashville to May 14 in Boston. For each show, The Head and the Heart will be playing their debut album in full alongside a collection of songs from throughout their career.

“We are so lucky to have had the stars align meeting one another and creating art in those early days,” The Head and the Heart say. “We are looking forward to reflecting and celebrating the moments of coming together for the first time in real time with all of you! It’ll be a show unlike anything we’ve ever done.”

Tickets will first be available to paid members of The Head and the Heart’s newly launched app starting Wednesday at 9 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe makes cameo on ‘The Simpsons’

R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe made a cameo on Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons.

The rocker sang a parody of the band’s classic Automatic For the People track “Everybody Hurts,” changed to “Everybody Kirks Sometimes.”

The animated Stipe, in a black suit and hat, turns up as the character Kirk Van Houten. Kirk has bipolar disorder and deals with a bout of depression following a manic episode.

“I was super flattered to be invited back into The Simpsons universe,” Stipe wrote on Instagram, “and particularly with this grand message of great hope.”

This is the second time Stipe has appeared on an episode of the long-running Fox animated hit. He previously appeared with the rest of his R.E.M. bandmates during the 13th season’s “Homer the Moe” episode.

Bad Bunny’s ‘DtMF’ tops Hot 100, three other songs in the top 10

Never underestimate the power of a Super Bowl halftime show: Bad Bunny now has the #1 song in the U.S.

His song “DtMF,” the title track from his current album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos [I Should Have Taken More Photos], has jumped from #10 to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s his second #1 hit, following his Cardi B/J Balvin collab “I Like It” back in 2018. “DtMF” had previously reached #2 in January 2025, when the album dropped.

Billboard notes that “DtMF” is only the fourth all or mostly Spanish-language song in history to top the Hot 100 and the first by a solo artist. The others were “La Bamba” by Los Lobos; “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” by Los Del Rio; and “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber.

In addition, Bad Bunny has three more songs in the top 10, all of which he performed during his halftime show: “Baile Inolvidable” [“Unforgettable Dance”] at #2; “Nuevayol” [a Puerto Rican nickname for New York] at #5; and “Tití Me Preguntó” [“Auntie Asked Me”] at #7.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s “Opalite,” which climbed as high as #2 last year after the release of The Life of a Showgirl, has jumped from #11 to #8 after its release as an official single and video.
