Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band will celebrate his musical legacy on the road this summer.

The band, which will include Mac McAnally, Scotty Emerick, Will Kimbrough and others, has announced three shows in August, all dubbed Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett.

“Hard to overstate how pleased we are to announce these 3 summer dates!” they shared on social media. 

The shows are set for Aug. 1 in Orange Beach, Alabama, Aug. 2 in Atlanta and Aug. 4 in Cincinnati. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. More information can be found at jimmybuffett.com. 

The new shows follow the all-star Buffett tribute concert, also called Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, that was held in April at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It featured performances from Paul McCartney, the Eagles, Sheryl Crow, Zac Brown Band with Dave Grohl and more.

Buffett passed away Sept.1 after a four-year battle with a rare and aggressive form of skin cancer. He was 76.

Roger Daltrey is about to launch his new solo acoustic tour, and he is really hoping fans don’t start hitting the internet to find out what he’ll be playing.

In an interview with Billboard, The Who frontman would not discuss what he plans to play on the tour in order to keep some of the mystery alive.

“I’m not gonna talk about songs,” Daltrey said. “Too many people reveal songs. There’s no surprises left with concerts these days, ’cause everybody wants to see the setlist. I’m f****** sick of it.”

With websites that reveal nightly set lists, and fans posting clips from shows, Daltrey noted, “The internet’s ruined the live shows for me.”

“Who wants to know what’s coming next?” he added. “People forget about surprises. I can’t stand it.” 

Daltrey’s tour kicks off June 10 in Glenside, Pennsylvania, and runs through June 29 in Highland Park, Illinois. A complete list of dates can be found at thewho.com.

Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has added another show to his Luck and Strange tour.

After selling out three nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles — Oct. 29, 30 and 31 — Gilmour has added a fourth LA show at the Intuit Dome on Oct. 25.

Presale tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT, and fans can sign up at davidgilmour.com for early access. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday at 10 a.m. PT.

Gilmour is also set to play five nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden in November, as well as shows in Rome and London. The Los Angeles and New York shows will be his only U.S. dates.

The tour is in support of Gilmour’s new solo album, Luck and Strange, which drops Sept. 6. It is his first album of new material in nine years.

Melissa Etheridge is giving fans their first look at her upcoming two-part docuseries Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken.

The series follows five female prisoners in the Topeka Correctional Facility in Kansas, Melissa’s home state. In the new trailer for the show, some of those women open up about their struggles with addiction. Melissa also talks about how addiction touched her own life; her son Beckett died of an overdose in 2020.

All of the woman featured in the series have written letters to Melissa, and the clip shows the rock star talking about her plans to stage a concert for them, where she’ll sing a new original song inspired by those letters.

“The best I can do is to be a light that can hold these people up and says you matter,” says Melissa in the clip. 

Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken will debut July 9 on Paramount+.

Bon Jovi returned to the stage Saturday, performing a short set at the opening of Jon Bon Jovi’s Nashville Bar, JBJ’s Nashville.

According to setlist.fm, the band kicked off their mini set with the New Jersey track “Blood on Blood,” which was the first time they played the song since 2019. 

The set also included “We Weren’t Born To Follow,” “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “Born to Be My Baby,” along with their latest single, “Legendary,” from their newly released album, FOREVER.

Fan-shot video posted to YouTube shows the band walking out onstage, with Jon telling the crowd, “We’re gonna just play you a couple and then I’m gonna get to drinking.” 

JBJ’s Nashville is located on Nashville’s Lower Broadway, and is the tallest and second-largest bar in the area, boasting five stories and 37,000 square feet, including two rooftop spaces with panoramic views of Music City. 

The show was the first major performance from the band since Jon underwent vocal chord surgery back in 2022. Jon previously took the stage to perform a couple songs at his MusiCares Person of the Year celebration, which took place back in February. He also performed “Legendary” on American Idol back in May.

We’d venture to guess that Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis would make a deal with God to have Kate Bush headline.

During an interview with the BBC Sounds podcast Sidetracked, Eavis names the “Running Up That Hill” artist as someone who she’d want to play the famed English festival but has never been booked.

“I’d love to have her,” Eavis says. “I hope one day.”

Bush, of course, very rarely tours — she last played live in 2014, and before that, she hadn’t taken the concert stage since 1991. But her music has seen a resurgence in recent years thanks to the placement of “Running Up That Hill” in the fourth season of Stranger Things. The fervor around the song was so massive that the normally press-shy Bush gave her first interview in years.

“You never know,” Eavis muses. “Like, Elton [John] was a pipe dream, and it happened.”

One might even say that Stranger Things have happened.

Glastonbury 2024 takes place June 26-30. Headliners include Coldplay, Dua Lipa and SZA.

Paul McCartney is headed back on the road in 2024.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer just announced South American dates for a 2024 leg of his Got Back tour, hitting Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru.

McCartney will play a total of five new shows, kicking off Oct. 1 in Montevideo, Uruguay, and wrapping Oct. 27 in Lima, Peru. It will be the first time in 10 years that McCartney has played either of those cities. 

Following a variety of presales, tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, with ticket sales staggered by show. More information can be found at paulmccartney.com.

These are the first new McCartney dates since he wrapped the 2023 leg of the Got Back tour in December in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Billy Joel played his second to last Madison Square Garden residency show on Saturday, and brought a very special guest to join him on a couple songs – Phish’s Trey Anastasio. 

The pair teamed for a performance of the Glass Houses tracks “Sleeping with the Television On” and “You May Be Right,” as well as a partial cover of the Derek & the Dominoes classic “Layla.”

Billy is set to wrap his residency on July 25, which will be his 150th show at the Garden. Trey and Phish have also played a lot of shows at MSG — 83, to be exact — prompting MSG to point out the significance of the collaboration.

“No one plays @thegarden more than @billyjoel and @treyanastasio,” the venue shared on Instagram. “Tonight they played together.”

Bruce Springsteen recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of his classic album Born in the U.S.A., which featured the hit single “Dancing with the Dark.”

The single was accompanied by a now-iconic video, featuring a pre-Friends Courteney Cox being pulled onstage by The Boss to dance with him, and in a new video posted to Instagram, Cox is revisiting her signature moves from the clip. 

Courteney’s video starts with her wearing a sweatshirt, with text on the clip reading, “asking my mom how she danced in the 80s.” After a few awkward moves, Cox shakes her head no, unzips her sweatshirt to reveal a Born in the U.S.A. concert T-shirt like the one from the original video and starts recreating her dance.

She captioned the clip, “1980’s dancing…in the dark”

Released June 4, 1984, Born in the U.S.A. was one of Springsteen’s most successful albums, selling over 30 million copies worldwide. It spent seven weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 Album chart and produced seven top-10 singles: the title track, “Dancing in the Dark,” “Cover Me,” “Glory Days,” “I’m On Fire,” “I’m Goin’ Down” and “My Hometown.”

We’re getting another preview of the upcoming Tom Petty tribute album, Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty.

The latest is Margo Price’s cover of “Ways to Be Wicked,” which features Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell. The original track was featured on the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 1995 box set, Playbacks.  

“I am sincerely moved that these artists are honoring my friend and partner Tom Petty….I think these songs are timeless and it’s great to hear other artists’ interpretations,” Campbell shares on Instagram. “I had a wonderful time recording with Margo Price on ‘Ways To Be Wicked.’ She’s a phenomenal talent and warm person.”

This is the fifth track released from Petty Country, following Dierks Bentley’s “American Girl,” Chris Stapleton’s “I Should Have Known It,” Dolly Parton’s “Southern Accents,” and Lainey Wilson and Wynonna’s “Refugee.”
