Duran Duran continues to embrace the Halloween spirit.

After releasing their 2023 album, Danse Macabre, which featured covers and new takes on some of their own songs, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers have just released a new rerecording, this time of the Seven and the Ragged Tiger track “Shadows on Your Side.” Keyboardist Nick Rhodes says it was inspired by “the madness and joy of Halloween.”

And while the new release is a brand-new take on the song, it features the original guitar parts from Duran Duran’s original guitarist, Andy Taylor

“Shadows on Your Side” is available now via digital outlets.

Danse Macabre was inspired by the band’s Las Vegas Halloween show in 2022, with songs on the album embracing the mood of the spooky season. In 2023 they released a deluxe version of the album with three bonus tracks.

The Vegas Halloween concert was later released as a concert film, Secret Oktober, which is streaming on demand until Nov. 3.

Up next for Duran Duran, they’ll play a Halloween show in Manchester, England, and then return to the U.S. for a series of West Coast dates that begin Dec. 30 in Thousand Palms, California. The tour includes shows at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2, 2026. A complete list of dates can be found at DuranDuran.com.

After spending months promoting his biopic, Bruce Springsteen returned to the stage Sunday night to join his E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt for a bash at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

The Boss made a surprise appearance at Stevie’s Party and the Pony, a benefit for Van Zandt’s TeachRock, a free educational initiative, which brings “sound, stories, and science of music” to kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms.

According to setlist.fm, Bruce joined Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul for three songs: a cover of the Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes track “I Don’t Wanna Go Home,” a cover of Eddie Floyd’s “Raise Your Hand” and Bruce’s classic “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.”

The performance also featured other members of the E Street Band, including saxophonist Jake Clemons, Curtis King Jr. and more.

The Stone Pony shared video on Instagram of Bruce onstage with Stevie, captioning the clip, “Happy birthday Stevie & Maureen,” the latter being Stevie’s wife. “Thanks for the visit, @springsteen — and for helping the Van Zandts create @teachrockorg, keeping music and arts in schools nationwide.”

In other Bruce news, the rocker’s biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White as The Boss, opened in theaters this weekend. It debuted in fourth place at the box office, bringing in $9.1 million.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joe Walsh is giving fans a chance to own some items from his personal archives.

Julien’s Auctions has announced details for the Life’s Been Good: Joe Walsh auction, happening Dec. 16-17 in Los Angeles and online. The auction will include a treasure trove of the Eagles guitarist’s personal items, including over 400 guitars, plus cars, gear, stage wardrobe and more.

Ahead of the auction, Julien’s is offering two exclusive limited-edition box sets, highlighting Walsh’s career, as well as the items on the auction block. The Limited Number Edition box set, limited to 200 copies, includes a two-volume photography book featuring the items offered in the auction, hand-signed by Walsh, with a numbered metal card on the cover, and a surprise gift from the rocker. The Limited Edition Print set comes with the signed book. Both include a collectible card that plays Walsh’s Eagles hit “Life’s Been Good” when opened.

A portion of the proceeds from the auction and the box set will go toward Walsh’s VetsAid, which raises money for veterans services charities.

“Wow! Look at all this cool stuff I’ve collected over the years, and it seems to me like it was about time to share it!” Walsh said in a statement. “Some of these items really meant a lot to me, and this is a great way to raise money for VetsAid and to give back to my fans.”

This year’s VetsAid concert is taking place Nov. 15 in Walsh’s hometown of Wichita, Kansas. It will feature full sets from Eagles touring member Vince Gill and Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen, as well as a “super-set” from Walsh, joined by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks of the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Nathaniel Rateliff and other special guests.

Phil Collen is the latest member of Def Leppard to reveal his most memorable moment of being in the band.

In a clip posted to Instagram, the guitarist says that while he’s not someone who tends to love awards, the time they got their first Diamond award for their 1987 album, Hysteria, stands out as a highlight of his career.

“We went to this party in New York … there’s us, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Billy Joel, Elton John and blah blah blah, everyone in the same room,” he explained. “And it didn’t really occur to me, the magnitude of everything we’ve been doing, because it was the first break we’d had in years, because we’d been touring, album touring, album touring and then we stopped.”

“I remember going up to this podium, and literally you would see Elton and Billy Joel and Jimmy Page and Dave Gilmour and all of these people, and it was like, it kind of hit home,” he continued. “So that was kind of special, not because it was an award, but it was because of where we’d come and how hard we’d worked.”

He notes the evening “was the first time I actually kind of sat down and was like, kind of realized what we’d actually achieved, so that was pretty cool.”

Collen’s recollection is part of a series of posts Def Leppard has been sharing since receiving their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Oct. 10. Joe Elliott, Viv Campbell and Rick Allen previously shared their most memorable moments.

The Bruce Springsteen movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is in theaters now, and it sounds like the rocker may be open to revisiting his life on screen once again.

At the AFI Fest opening night screening of the film, director Scott Cooper told Variety that another Springsteen movie isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

“I suppose if you can make four Beatles movies, you can make a couple of Bruce Springsteen movies,” he said, a reference to Sam Mendes’ upcoming project, The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, due out in April 2028.

“There’s so many chapters in Bruce’s life, in all seriousness, that are quite right for cinematic treatment,” Cooper said. “That’s something quite honestly that Bruce and I have discussed. I think he really loves this film. He’s loved the experience.”

He added, “I think he feels incredibly comfortable with someone telling a very painful chapter in his life. You’d have to ask him, but I think he’s ready for more.”

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen and Jeremy Strong as his manager, Jon Landau. It follows the rocker as he makes his 1982 solo album, Nebraska.

Simon Kirke and Bad Company ‘honored’ by Can’t Get Enough tribute album

Soon-to-be Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Bad Company are the focus of a new tribute album, Can’t Get Enough: The Music of Bad Company, which is out now. It features guests like Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Phil Collen, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, The Struts and more covering iconic Bad Company tunes.

BadCo drummer Simon Kirke tells ABC Audio they’re “honored that these artists have taken the time to record” their songs, noting, “It’s wonderful.”

He does say, however, that while he’s familiar with artists like Slash and Elliott, he’s not familiar with “half” of the musicians who took part in the album. He does heap praise on the covers, though: “They actually were not that far removed from our originals.”

Kirke and BadCo frontman Paul Rodgers also contributed to the project; Kirke plays drums and Rodgers adds backing vocals on Elliott and Collen’s rendition of “Seagull,” while Rodgers also contributed backing vocals to “Run With The Pack,” covered by Blackberry Smoke, and “Shooting Star,” covered by Halestorm.

Kirke says doing it “was kind of like a hats off” to the artists who took part in the release.

Before Kirke and Rodgers formed Bad Company with guitarist Mick Ralphs and bassist Boz Burrell, they were both in the band Free, and the album includes a cover of Free’s biggest hit, “All Right Now.” Kirke says it makes sense the tune would be included on the album.

“It’s one of those songs that just will not die, and it’ll be around long after I’ve gone,” he says. “It’s an iconic song, always has been and always will be.”

Bad Company will inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 8 in Los Angeles. The ceremony will stream live on Disney+ starting at 8 p.m. ET.

Spinal Tap to perform ‘Stonehenge’ at Stonehenge in new concert film

In the original 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, the film’s fictional band, Spinal Tap, sings their song “Stonehenge” onstage as an 18-inch-high version of the real thing descends from the ceiling, instead of the planned 18-foot-high version. Well, who needs props when you can have the real thing?

It seems the band — made up of Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer  actually got to perform the tune in front of the real Stonehenge rock formation, and now fans are going to be able to experience it in theaters.

The concert film Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale, documenting Spinal Tap as they perform the first-ever rock concert at the English heritage site Stonehenge, is set to hit theaters in 2026. It will feature special guest appearances by Eric Clapton, Shania Twain and Josh Groban.

The news follows the release of the This is Spinal Tap sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, which hit theaters in September. It follows the band as they attempt to stage a reunion concert 40 years after the first film. In the sequel, Spinal Tap performs “Stonehenge” with Elton John, and this time, the prop is the correct size.
