Bruce Springsteen is sharing another song from his upcoming box set, Tracks II: The Lost Albums.

The latest is “Faithless,” the title track from a previously unreleased film soundtrack for a movie that never got made. The 11-song album was recorded between Springsteen’s Devils & Dust tour in November 2005 and the April 2006 release of We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, his album dedicated to the music of folk singer Pete Seeger.

“‘Faithless’ was a piece of work I took (on commission) for a spiritual Western film that was preparing to be made around 2004,” The Boss shared on Instagram about the album. “In Hollywood, I have found, you can disappear into ‘development’ for long periods of time, so I thought I would release these now and let you hear my results of this interesting project.”

Songs on the album were mostly recorded by Springsteen on his own, although touring members of The E Street Band — Soozie Tyrell, Lisa Lowell, Curtis King, Jr., Michelle Moore and Ada Dyer — appear on the album, as does Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa and his kids Evan and Sam Springsteen.

“Faithless” is now available via digital outlets.

Tracks II: The Lost Albums, will be released June 27, and is available for preorder now. It features seven previously unheard Springsteen records, including 83 songs, all of which were originally recorded between 1983 and 2018. Of those songs, 82 have never been released before and 74 have never been heard before.

Paul Rodgers, whose band Bad Company was just chosen for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, has recorded a new version of the band’s classic “Rock and Roll Fantasy.”

The new take on the song has Rodgers teaming with the members of The Changels honor choir, a collaboration with Adopt the Arts Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing underserved elementary schools with high-quality music education.

“Music has the power to transform lives – I’ve experienced it myself and seen it countless times throughout my career,” said Rodgers. “Working with these young, talented and very engaged singers is an opportunity to pass along not just technical knowledge, but the passion, joy and spirit that comes from musical expression.”

The song was co-produced by former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, founder of Adopt the Arts, and Bruce Witkin, who previously worked with Sorum in Hollywood Vampires. Sorum also plays drums on the track.

Adopt the Arts gives students throughout Southern California a chance to gain real music industry experience, offering mentoring sessions with professional musicians, recording opportunities and more.

“We’re not just teaching these kids about music – we’re showing them how music can open doors and create community,” said Sorum. “Having Paul Rodgers join us is incredible. These are formative experiences that build confidence and skills these kids will carry with them throughout their lives.”

Sheryl Crow says after posting Tesla return video, ‘armed man’ came to her house

Back in 1996, Walmart refused to carry Sheryl Crow‘s album because it included a song that mentioned people killing each other with guns they bought at the retail chain. But she says the response to one of her more recent political statements involved actual guns.

Sheryl made headlines in February when she posted an Instagram video of her Tesla being towed away, and wrote that she’d sold it and donated the money to NPR due to it being “under threat by President [Elon] Musk.”

“There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with,” she added.

Speaking to Variety, Sheryl compared the response to the Tesla video by the far right to its response to the 1996 Walmart incident.

“This feels different, because when I came out against Walmart carrying guns, not everybody was armed — and certainly I didn’t live in Tennessee, where everybody is armed,” she says.

“So yeah, there was a moment where I actually really felt very afraid: A man got on my property, in my barn, who was armed,” she continued. “It doesn’t feel safe when you’re dealing with people who are so committed.”

Given that, Variety asked her if she’d post the same Tesla video now.

“I can’t help it,” she says. “I feel like I’m fighting for my kids. Also, that’s the way I was raised. There have been times when it hasn’t really been fun, but I follow my Atticus Finch dad; I’m very similar to him if I see something that seems unfair, you know?”
