Sophia Bush is engaged to her boyfriend Grant Hughes!

The One Tree Hill alum revealed the exciting news on Tuesday, sharing a stunning photo of couple together on a boat in Lake Como, Italy, with Hughes down on one knee as she stands.

“So it turns out that being your favorite person’s favorite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth,” Bush, 39, captioned the Instagram post, adding #YES.

Bush followed up with two more Instagram posts: One of the pair cuddled up on the vessel, with the caption “Fovever Favorite,” and another of them driving the boat.

Hughes also took to Instagram to make the joyous announcement, choosing to display a snapshot of the newly engaged couple smooching.

“She is my forever Favorite. This is my favorite,” he penned. “And our life is that we’re building because she said “Yes” is already my favorite. I am SO EXCITED to do life with you, my love.”

Bush and Grant first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted holding hands in Malibu in May 2020. However, they were friends for eight years before they pursued a romantic relationship with each other amid the pandemic.

In a post from January, Grant, who’s a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur, expressed, “[Sophia] was in my life as a friend for 8 years and the pandemic forced us to slow down and stay in one place long enough to realize what I’d been looking for all along was closer than I could have known.”

Prior to Hughes, Bush was married to her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray for five months in 2005.

They’re engaged! ‘Bachelorette’ Katie Thurston reveals what’s next for her and Blake

ABC/Craig Sjodin

They’re engaged!  The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston found her love Monday night with Blake Moynes.  He proposed, she said yes, and all was right with the world.

So what’s next?  Katie told ABC Audio they have time to figure it all out — even when it comes to deciding where to live.

“This week we’re actually headed to Canada.  We’re really going to probably just spend time together, weeks on end in Canada and I’m moving to San Diego.  So he’ll come with me for probably a month,” said the 30-year-old Washington native.  “And I think we’re just going to, you know, kind of hop around place to place because we have that freedom to do so before we figure out where we want to officially plant some roots.”

So now that the cat’s out of the bag, the relationship is staying in the spotlight, right? Not according to Katie, who thinks that, with Bachelor in Paradise starting up on Monday and Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette to follow, people won’t care about her and Blake for too much longer.

“That’s, I think, what we look forward to the most is kind of being out of the spotlight.  We haven’t experienced walking out in public together,” she explained.  “So maybe we’re going to experience something different… and show people really what our relationship is like outside of the show.”

As for a post-Bachelorette vacation, Thurston said, “It’s like a little backwards because our vacation is just being in the normal world, that’s what we haven’t been able to do… Go get coffee, go on a road trip together, meet the family, meet the friends [and] the pets.”

“So, it sounds weird, but that is our version of our vacation coming up,” she grinned.

God, the Devil & everything: Get your first look at the final season of ‘Lucifer’

Netflix

Once you become God, where do you go from there?

Netflix has just dropped the trailer for the final season of Lucifer, which stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, aka The Devil,  — yes, the actual Devil — who works as a consultant for the LAPD.  When we last saw Lucifer, he’d won the right to become God — yes, the actual God — after his Father, played by Dennis Haysbert, abdicated the throne to be with the woman he loves.

In the new trailer, Lucifer appears to be dragging his heels on actually taking the throne, and as a result, the world begins to unravel. Meanwhile, there’s a female angel in Hell who’s plotting to destroy Lucifer, and in one scene, he’s engaging in hand-to-hand combat with his girlfriend, Det. Chloe Decker, who apparently wants to stab him to death.

However, there’s also a hint that we’re getting an animated episode, as well as more singing and dancing, to follow last season’s fully musical Lucifer episode.  And we also see several glimpses of Lt. Dan Espinoza, who — spoiler alert — died last season. It appears as though he’s returned from the dead, which happens a lot in this show.

The final season of Lucifer hits Netflix September 10.

Henry Cavill explains how a recent hamstring injury affected his mental health

Karwai Tang/WireImage

Henry Cavill, who stars in Netflix’s The Witcher, opened up about how his on-set injury while filming the popular fantasy series’ second season impacted his mental health.

Speaking to People, the 38-year-old actor said his injury forced him to take things easy, which was a challenge to him considering how often he had to work out to maintain a certain physique for the grueling role.

“When I look back, I realize, yes, it was a hard time,” Cavill confessed. “I think one of the skills I’ve picked up over the years is just forging ahead regardless of difficulty or hard work or trials and tribulations.”

“So when the hamstring injury came, I tried to look at the silver lining. It was like, ‘Ok. I was working insane hours and it was exhausting and I now physically can’t work because I’m on crutches,'” the British actor continued, saying he focused on “taking the time off” so he could heal property and head back to work with peace of mind.

The Man of Steel star said this is an example of how he mentally approaches a serious setback. “When it comes to my mental health, [I] focus on what I can control and work on that,” he explained. “And that gives me something to work towards rather than something to deal with or work through or manage my life through.”

Cavill added he’s completely healed from his hamstring injury and is working on his sprinting, saying his goal is “to build a better engine.”

“One of the things my physical therapy for my hamstring showed me was that I have a lot of capacity in my engine but I have not accessed it,” he said. “It’s something which I really want to build upon.”

Nicole Kidman reveals how husband Keith Urban reacts to her intimate scenes

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

Nicole Kidman says she does not have to worry about what husband Keith Urban thinks when she films some of her steamier love scenes.

Speaking with E!’s Daily Pop, the Big Little Lies star revealed that Keith is fully supportive of what she does — even when it comes to her stripping down for the camera.

“My husband is an artist, so he understands all of it, and he also does not get involved,” Nicole said of her husband of 15 years.  “He sees the show at the very end when it’s a show, all edited together.”

The 54-year-old Australian actress added that Urban has “fresh eyes” when it comes to her filming her movie and television roles because “he doesn’t read any script, he really doesn’t know what’s going on on the set.”

“He’s got his own career that he’s completely absorbed in,” the Academy Award winner cracked. “He doesn’t know much about what I’m really doing.”

The pair wed in 2006 and share two daughters, 13-year-old Sunday Rose and 10-year-old Faith Margaret.

Nicole stars in the upcoming Nine Perfect Strangers, set to premiere on Hulu on August 18.

John Boyega shares what he found “kind of scary” about his new film ‘Naked Singularity’

Screen Media

John Boyega admits he was a bit intimated by his Naked Singularity character Casi, an overzealous public defender who rails against the corrupt criminal justice system.

“I [felt] quite distant when I read the script,” Boyega tells ABC Audio. “I felt quite distant as a person to the character of Casi. I’ve never gone to school to study this practice and then going onto the field as a public defender to kind of basically help influence the fate of defendants — [it’s] kind of scary.”

In the film, which is part courtroom drama, sci-fi and heist-thriller, Boyega plays a social justice warrior who decides to help a client with a multi-million dollar drug heist. This all happens while viewers learn that the world is expected to ominously “collapse in 12 days.”

Although Boyega says he was going into uncharted territories when he took on the role of Casi, the Star Wars alum says he did eventually find some common ground with his character.

“Casi having a conflict about his position and job was where my interests were,” Boyega says.

“Because I guess as the maybe ignorant civilian who hasn’t worked in those kind of high sectors, I feel like, ‘Don’t you guys ever want to sabotage anything?'” he laughs, referring to the court cases.

“So, I guess because of that curiosity — actually dealing with a character that actually has a chance to make some real bank, some real money, and to get out of the system too — was definitely interesting to me,” Boyega explains. “So that’s where my interests — my in was.”

Naked Singularity, also starring Olivia Cooke, is in select theaters and will be available on video on demand on Friday, August 13.

‘West Side Story’ to permanently close on Broadway due to COVID-19 pandemic

Noam Galai/Getty Images

The Broadway lights are permanently going dark for West Side Story, a contemporary revival of the beloved musical that opened in February of last year.

The New York Post reports that the decision to pull the plug on the reboot was announced by producer Kate Horton, who confirmed the musical will not return when Broadway reopens.

“This difficult and painful decision comes after we have explored every possible path to a successful run, and unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, reopening is not a practical proposition,” she said. “We thank all the brilliant, creative artists who brought West Side Story to life at the Broadway Theatre, even for so brief a time.”

Prior to shuttering amid the global pandemic on March 12, 2020, the latest interpretation of West Side Story ran for only a handful of performances and previews.

The original West Side Story, created by the legendary Leonard Bernstein in 1957, was revived three other times — in 1964, 1980 and 2009 — before its latest iteration, which took the characters into the present.

The 2020 revival cut the famous song “I Feel Pretty” and had the music and choreography lean more heavily on hip-hop and Latin influences.

Despite the musical’s cancellation, fans of West Side Story will soon be able to see the timeless tale of Tony and Maria in theaters.  The Stephen Spielberg-produced film, starring Rita MorenoRachel Zegler and Ansel Elgort, premieres December 10.

Other musicals not returning to Broadway following the pandemic are FrozenBeetlejuice and Mean Girls.  Broadway is set to reopen for business next month.

Jason Momoa dedicates ‘Aquaman 2’ in memory of 8-year-old fan who died of cancer

Kevin Winter/Getty Images

Danny Sheehan, the eight-year-old boy who went viral over the holidays for his ecstatic reaction to receiving an Aquaman action figure, has died following a four-year battle with cancer.  Jason Momoa says he will keep Danny’s spirit alive by dedicating the upcoming Aquaman sequel to him.

Danny’s family announced via the Facebook support group 4TheLoveofDanny that the young Aquaman fan passed away in his sleep just after midnight on Sunday.

Momoa reacted to the sad news Monday and shared a photo on Instagram of the Mansfield, MA-based mural that depicts him and Danny standing side by side dressed as the iconic DC superhero.

I just found out this heartbreaking news,” the actor expressed.  “All my Aloha to this beautiful Ohana.”

Momoa also vowed to dedicate the upcoming Aquaman sequel, currently billed as Aquaman 2, “to you lil angel.”

The Game of Thrones alum later took to his Instagram Story to share a recent photos of Sheehan, writing, “I have no words that could do you justice. All I can say is what a privilege it has been to be your friend.  You are as bright as the sun.  I’ll always be awestruck by you… You deserved more than to fight childhood cancer with adult treatments.”

Momoa and Sheehan became fast friends in December after the actor watched the boy’s adorable viral video.  The two connected over FaceTime where the two bonded over dolphins and, later, Momoa sent Danny a life-sized replica of his on-screen trident along with a generous supply of Aquaman-related goodies.  The actor signed the card as “Uncle Aquaman.”

Danny’s mother, Natalie Sheehan, said at the time that the gift meant the world to her son.

Aquaman 2 is slated to arrive in theaters December 2022.
