Love may be blind but it didn’t last forever for this Love Is Blind couple.
Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones have announced they’re getting a divorce. The two got engaged without ever meeting face to face on the Netflix reality dating show’s second season. They then got married in the season finale.
They shared news of their split in a joint statement on social media.
“What’s going on, family. After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing,” the statement begins. “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay.”
“We hope you all give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives,” they continue. “Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience. To the Love Is Blind family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support. Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives.”
They concluded by saying the experience taught them so much and they “don’t regret a single thing.”
The couple had decided to tie the knot on the show in spite of their doubts – Jarrette had intended to propose to another contestant, Mallory Zapata, before choosing Iyanna.
Enjoy some Wednesday on your Wednesday — Wednesday Addams, that is.
Netflix has released the first official teaser for Wednesday, starring Jenny Ortega as the titular goth daughter of the Addams family.
In the trailer, we see Wednesday unleashing piranhas on her school’s water polo team for making fun of her brother, Puglsey. After the incident, the family moves to Nevermore, where Wednesday starts a new school.
“Finally you will be among peers who understand you,” Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Morticia tells her. “Maybe you’ll even make some friends.”
“Little did I know, I’d be stepping into a nightmare full of mystery, mayhem and murder,” we hear Wednesday say in a voiceover. “I think I’m going to love it here.”
The series, directed by Tim Burton and also starring Luis Guzmán as Gomez, comes to Netflix this fall.

Have you ever been catfished by your dad? James Morosini has. He’s the writer, director, and star of the new film I Love My Dad, which is in theaters and streaming on demand now.
The movie, which Morosini describes as as “almost a modern Mrs. Doubtfire,” follows “an estranged father — played by Patton Oswalt — who catfishes his son in an attempt to reconnect, and the son ends up falling head over heels for the girl that the father has created,” he tells ABC Audio. “And the father now has to figure out an off-ramp to this thing without destroying his son’s hopes and dreams.”
I Love My Dad is based on what actually happened between him and his father when he was around 20 years old.
“I think [we] were fighting [and] I think he had lied about something. I got very upset with him. I decided to block him on social media,” he recalls. “I was going through a tough time, and he was very worried about me and wanted to talk with me about it and I wouldn’t talk with him about it. And then I got home one day, and this really pretty girl sent me a friend request online, and she seemed amazing. And then it turned out to be my dad. [He] had catfished me.”
James says he and his dad have a good relationship now, and the film has only made it stronger.
“The idea of making this movie was really stepping into my dad’s shoes and trying to understand our relationship from his perspective,” he explains. “It was kind of a challenge that I posed to myself to see if I could really take a walk in his shoes and if I could really empathize with where he was coming from.”
Zoë Kravitz knew that she wanted her now-boyfriend Channing Tatum to star as the mysterious dark character Slater King in her directorial debut, Pussy Island, even though she had never met him.
“I felt, even from afar, before I knew him, that he was a feminist and that he wasn’t afraid of exploring that darkness, because he knows he’s not that,” Kravitz told WSJ Magazine. “That’s why I was drawn to him and why I wanted to meet with him.”
Kravitz found it exciting to cast somebody who usually plays the nice guy in the villain role. “I wanted to find somebody who hadn’t played a dark character before, because I think it’s exciting to watch someone who’s mostly played boy next door, good guy, love interest, all of that,” she said.
Tatum, whose company Free Association is co-producing the project, appreciated that Kravitz cast against type and went for him. “I didn’t know Zoë before I met her for the film,” he said. “It’s always really intriguing to have someone bring you something that literally no one else has ever thought of you for.”
The pair developed a working relationship because of the film, but they just so happened to develop a romantic one, as well.
“When you make things with people it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself,” Kravitz said. “I’m really grateful that this movie brought him into my life that way.”
