Acclaimed actor Tim Roth starred as Emil Blonsky/The Abomination in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, a job he tells ABC Audio he took enthusiastically, because he got “to play a monster.”

“You know, I just felt it was for the kids, when you’re picking them up at school,” he recalled with a laugh.

Roth says the Marvel Cinematic Universe “didn’t exist” when he did The Incredible Hulk.

“It was, you know, before Robert Downey and the Iron Man thing … I’m sure they saw potential, but we didn’t even think about it.”

Roth reprised his role within the MCU with a small scene in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which led directly to the events of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, in which he’s a recurring character.

“When they came to me … I said, ‘Really? OK!'” the Pulp Fiction star recalls.

However, performing in the show — sometimes in a motion-capture suit — was a different experience. “I had no idea how to operate within this world,” he admits.

Luckily, the “brilliant” Tatiana Maslany and Mark Ruffalo, Maslany’s onscreen cousin who plays Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk, showed Roth the ropes.

“Mark is someone I’ve always wanted to work with, so even under these bizarre and fun circumstances, I consider I’ve worked with him now,” Roth smiles. “So they gave me a quick a fast track education, how to operate within that, and figure out that world and … how to deliver.”

He says, “It was a lot of a lot of fun. It was, again, one for the kids, you know?”

A new episode of She-Hulk dropped Thursday on Disney+.

‘Best in Dough’ proves you can’t judge a pizza by its toppings

Hulu/Michael Desmond

It’s a cooking competition, but just for pizza. New to Hulu this week is the series Best in Dough, where pizza makers from all walks of life come together to compete for $10,000 and the title Best in Dough.

Wells Adams hosts the series and tells ABC Audio that he has quite the history with pizza making, thanks to his dad’s “midlife crisis.”

“He, like, stopped being a doctor and like went to culinary school and then built this huge pizza oven in our backyard,” he explains, adding that they would have “huge pizza parties” at his home. “We put out all the dough, all the ingredients, and you could just go make your own pie.”

Meanwhile, for head judge and renowned pizza chef Daniele Uditi, pizza and dough have been a lifelong passion. He recalls waking up as a child to see his whole family mixing dough by hand, which only sparked his interest.

“I said, this is like, my God, they’re playing with the sticky stuff. I want to play with the sticky stuff too!” he says.

Given that Best in Dough is a competition, it’s no surprise that contestants can put together some crazy connections, but surprisingly they sometimes turn out good. Like, one guy that Udiiti calls “the Wizard of Pizza” who used ingredients like “pickle juice, beans water, sausage…tomato sauce [and] barbecue sauce.”

“I have a bite, and say this shouldn’t work. I’m pissed off at myself, why am I liking this?” he says.

So, moral of the story? Don’t judge a book by its cover, which is what Adams learned. He says that the very items that he wouldn’t order if he saw it on a menu “ended up being my favorite things on the show.”

Hulu is owned by Disney, parent company of ABC News.

Brad Pitt launches gender-neutral skin care line

If you’ve ever wanted to look like Brad Pitt, here’s your chance.

Sort of.

The Oscar winner has launched a new skin care line in partnership with the famed Château Beaucastel wine growers of the Perrin family.

The collection, called Le Domaine Skincare, includes a lineup of products that are all vegan, gender-neutral and designed to slow down signs of aging.

Le Domaine Skincare features four key products: a serum, a cream, a fluid cream and a cleaning emulsion — all housed in sustainable packaging through the use of recyclable glass bottles and jars, and reusable stoppers made of oak cut from the scraps of the vineyard’s wine barrels.

“It is about imitating nature’s organic cycles, its original beauty,” Pitt said in a statement on the new launch. “In nature, there is no concept of waste. Every discarded thing becomes nourishment for another. This is circularity for Le Domaine Skincare.”

Prices for the brand’s products range from $80 to $385; they’re infused with two active ingredients, GSM10 and ProGR3, which both have been submitted for patents. The ingredients were created in close collaboration with Pierre-Louis Teissedre, a professor of oenology at the University of Bordeaux, and Nicolas Lévy, a clinician and professor of human and medical genetics.

According to the brand’s website, GSM10 has antioxidative powers, while ProGR3 is a cosmetic active compound with the capabilities to slow down the effects of human and skin aging.

That said, it can’t slow down internet snark. One commenter replied, “I’ll see your $800 skincare trio and raise you a $13 bottle of Cetaphil and $8 Tretonoin [sic] 0.1%,” the latter referring to a common wrinkle-fighting cream.

In the October/November issue of AARP The Magazine, 56-year-old Adam Sandler opens up about growing up, getting older in Hollywood and his gratitude for his long career.

“I’m calmer than I used to be,” Sandler says. “I used to go nuts. I had a quick temper, quick reactions … I was selfish. I was competitive with other comedians and stuff.”

“I appreciate other people’s talent now rather than competing with it — in every field, in every sport, every part of showbiz,” Sandler says.

With that wisdom comes age, but Sandler’s OK with that. “I like my age … It’s freeing,” he explains.

Says the superstar, who famously dresses way down, “I’m nonstop commitment to my projects, though I don’t have the same discipline to keep my body in shape.”

He adds, “There hasn’t been one movie where I’ve stayed the same weight throughout a three-month shoot. I used to worry about it. Now I’m OK.”

The actor also shared some thoughts on his pivots from wacky comedies like The Ridiculous Six and Grown-ups to acclaimed dramatic turns.

“I love comedy more than anything,” he reveals, but says he welcomes a challenge.

“It was cool as hell pushing myself in new ways like I did on Uncut Gems … the intensity of that amazing character, or in Hustle, being around the greatest NBA players, and not worrying about laughs as much as what each character is going through and pulling for.”

Sandler also says he hopes people like his movies: “Whether you’ve liked me or not, [they] appreciate that I’ve tried my best.”

He adds, “I’m just amazed people have trusted me as long as they have in this business and given me shot after shot. Because it would suck to do something else.”

Many of the late Bob Saget‘s comedian friends were on hand in Los Angeles Wednesday night to salute him at the annual Scleroderma Research Foundation benefit he’d been involved with for more than 30 years.

Saget, who died in January, lost his sister Gay to the life-threatening autoimmune disease in 1994.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Saget’s longtime friend and Full House co-star John Stamos introduced a video tribute to Saget. “I’ve spoken so much about him, written so much about him, and I just love him so dearly I would give anything to have him back,” an emotional Stamos expressed.

Dave Chappelle, Kevin Nealon, Bill Burr, Kathy Griffin, Joel McHale, Rosie O’Donnell, Jeff Ross and Jimmy Kimmel also took the stage at various points.

Jeff Ross noted, “Tonight’s a tribute but it’s also a celebration that we all got to know that guy, that he got to have this influence on our lives.”

He added, “You didn’t really know Bob until you saw him host a Scleroderma Research dinner — that was the true Bob Saget. He was emotional, he was the most sincere I’ve ever seen him onstage other than when he was acting on Broadway or something.”

Chappelle introduced a tribute to his friend, telling the crowd, “Tonight I got drunk because I love Bob so much. Bob, I can feel you in this room tonight.”

He also said of Saget, “What a fantastic human being.”

Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, was a co-chair of the event, which also featured music and tributes from another one of Saget’s close friends, musician John Mayer.

Even Olivia Wilde has something to say about Harry Styles‘ notorious “Spit-Gate,” where rumors sparked that he spat on Don’t Worry Darling co-star Chris Pine at the movie’s Venice Film Festival premiere.

Pine’s team has since dismissed the reports, while Harry used the rumor as a punch line at one of his Madison Square Garden shows.

Now, it’s Wilde’s turn to say something. The actress, who directed the movie and is dating the “As It Was” singer, was grilled on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert about the bizarre claim.

The actress was already addressing the reports when Colbert flashed his notecard, which read, “Did Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine? Why or why not? Support your answer.”

“No, he did not,” replied Wilde, who had just used “Spit-Gate” as a prime example of the “weird rumors” that have plagued Don’t Worry Darling.

“I think it’s a perfect example of, like, people will look for drama anywhere they can. Harry did not spit on Chris, in fact,” she continued on before Colbert interjected with a frank, “Only time will tell.”

Wilde laughed at the unexpected interruption and doubled down that Harry “really didn’t” spit on another man.

Speaking of Don’t Worry Darling, Harry’s mother, Anne Twist, saw the “first day showing” of the film and absolutely loves it. “You were excellent,” she told the cast on Instagram.

She had rave reviews for Wilde, who stars as Bunny in the movie, adding, “Well done @oliviawilde and team for drawing us in.”

The proud mom also praised her “baby” Harry’s performance in the film, telling him, “well done… for being a fabulous Jack. Very proud as usual.”

Don’t Worry Darling, which also stars Florence Pugh, premieres in theaters this Friday.

Tiffany Haddish says she “lost everything” following molestation lawsuit

Tiffany Haddish is facing employment issues.

While at Los Angeles’ LAX airport Wednesday, TMZ caught up with the 42-year-old comedian and actress and asked about the aftermath of being accused of molestation and if its affected her career.

“Oh, I lost everything, all my gigs gone. Everything gone,” Haddish replied. “I don’t know, bro…I don’t have no jobs.”

The statement comes just one day after the news that one of the two people who accused Haddish and Aries Spears of child molestation have reportedly withdrawn their lawsuit against the stars. The celebrity comics were accused of hiring two then-children to appear in a past Funny or Die sketch called “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.”

The two plaintiffs in the withdrawn suit, identified as Jane Doe, 22, and her now-14-year-old brother, John Doe, were respectively 14 and 7 years old at the time they were paid by family friend of Haddish’s to appear in the sketch, the suit alleged. One scene reportedly had the female eating a hero sandwich while moaning and simulating sex acts she was coached to perform; the other had the boy playing and bathing as Spears’ character leered and interacted with him suggestively.

In a statement to TMZ on Tuesday, Jane Doe noted, “My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us.”

Doe concluded, “We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”

Armie Hammer‘s estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, has watched Discovery+’s docuseries House of Hammer, a look into the salacious allegations that have derailed the career of The Lone Ranger and The Social Network actor.

“I definitely was surprised, but I think that’s to be expected,” Chambers told E! News in a story published on Wednesday.

“I did not plan on seeing it, but I did drop the kids off at school one day and came home and watched it with my support system around me,” the 40-year-old TV personality revealed. “It was obviously heartbreaking on so many levels and very painful. But at the same time, it exists. The past is the past and all we can do is take this as a moment to learn and listen, and hopefully process and heal in every capacity.”

Chambers also explained that she was approached to participate in the three-part series but said, “all that’s mattered and does matter is the kids and our family, and that was not something that was going to be in line with my goals for them.”

Hammer was accused of rape and abuse, and of sending a series of direct messages to various women that included references to violent sexual acts and cannibalism. Hammer’s attorneys have claimed all of his relationships have been consensual.

Chambers and Hammer, who tied the knot in 2010 share two children: 7-year-old Harper Grace Armand and 5-year-old Ford Douglas Armand. They separated in 2020.

If you are affected by abuse and needing support, or know someone who is, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, or the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). You can also chat online at thehotline.org or online.rainn.org, respectively.

Meet Titania! She’s the villain on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which drops a new episode today on Disney+.

Jameela Jamil plays the baddie, known as Titania, and Jamil shared her character’s back story with ABC Audio.

“In the comics, she’s bullied really badly as a kid, and that’s where all of her desperation for attention and power comes from,” she explains. “And so we don’t get to tell that story here, but maybe one day in the Marvel Universe, I’ll be able to. But I think it’s an important part of her, and I think it’s a part that probably exists in a lot of very insecure, vain narcissists.”

Titania, originally a wrestler in the comics, is now a social media influencer, which the 36-year-old British actress believes is appropriate for a supervillain here in 2022.

“I feel as though they are the modern day supervillain, some of them, of the world. And the fact that she sells products that are, you know, false and dangerous and [Titania’s] so fraudulent, I think resonates around certain influencers that we have in the world,” she shares.

While other actors of color have experienced bullying online after taking roles in comic-book and fantasy based shows and movies, Jamil says she’s “deeply relieved” that she hasn’t experienced any of it for this role.

“I’m horrified to see the hard time that other people have gotten. And it’s so unjustified and it’s so bad for the mental health of these quite young people who are entering the MCU,” she adds.

As for why that might be, Jameela figures, “This is not my first rodeo man. And so I think people also know that I just don’t care, as there’s no point.”
