The Bachelorette headed to Michelle Young‘s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota on Tuesday, but even a change in venue couldn’t stop Chris S. from trying to chip away at Nayte‘s frontrunner status.

After pulling Michelle aside at last week’s rose ceremony to accuse Nayte of being too cocky and not being there for her, Chris thought he had taken some of the wind out of Nayte’s sails, while upping his own status with Michelle.

Instead, Nayte scored a one-on-one date with Michelle, while Chris was left competing with nine other men for Michelle’s time, which he failed to get.

Desperate, Chris brazenly crashed her date with Nayte to voice disappointment that the warnings about his fellow suitor “had fallen on deaf ears.”

After pointing out Chris’ “negative attitude” during the group date she explained that she wanted “a man who will stand and support me when I speak, and not a man who speaks for me.” Nayte got the date rose, while Chris was shown the door.

Also sent home on Tuesday were CaseyClayton and Leroy

Another one-on-one date with “Minnesota” Joe led to his revelation that a career-ending sports injury led to severe anxiety, depression and, ultimately, thoughts of suicide. Michelle praised him for battling through it and offered him the date rose.

Here are the other men remaining after the rose ceremony:

Brandon J., 26, a traveling nurse recruiter from Portland, Ore
Joe, 28, a real estate developer from Minneapolis, Minn.
Martin, 29, a personal trainer from Miami, Fla
Nayte, 27, a sales executive from Austin, Texas
Olu, 27, an IT analyst from Newark, N.J.
Rick, 32, a medical sales rep from Los Angeles, Calif.
Rodney, 29, a sales rep from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

If you are in crisis or know someone in crisis, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741. You can reach Trans Lifeline at 877-565-8860 (U.S.) or 877-330-6366 (Canada) and The Trevor Project at 866-488-7386.

Sony dropped the footage Spider-Man fans were waiting for Tuesday night, more or less, in the trailer to Spider-Man: No Way Home

As we learned from the teaser, Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker is on the run, and has teamed up with Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange for a spell to make people forget he’s Spider-Man. Except the spell rips open the multiverse.

A bunch of former Spider-Man villains come tumbling out — but they’re not villains that Holland’s Spidey has faced.

Willem Dafoe returns as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin from 2002’s Spider-Man. Ditto for Alfred Molina as Dr. Otto “Doc Ock” Octavius from 2004’s Spider-Man 2. Also spotted in the trailer is Sandman, the villain played by Thomas Haden Church in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, The Lizard, who was played by Rhys Ifans in 2013’s The Amazing Spider-Man, and Jamie Foxx‘s Electro from 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

However, here’s who you didn’t see: Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the two actors whose respective Spidey alter-egos fought those baddies in previous films.

Clearly, Doc Ock was looking for Tobey, telling Holland’s Spidey, “You’re not Peter Parker…”

It had been widely reported that Maguire appears in the film, and it’s thought Garfield is too — despite his frequent denials.

But they’re nowhere to be found in the trailer. There IS another Spidey shown in the trailer, but his black and metallic outfit doesn’t reveal his identity — and it’s not a suit we’ve seen before.

However, speculation began immediately Tuesday night that Sony and co-producers Marvel Studios might just be pulling a fast one. Marvel Studios has digitally removed characters in other trailers to preserve surprises.

Fans might have to wait and see: Spider-Man: No Way Home opens December 17.

Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

Miramax suing Quentin Tarantino over ‘Pulp Fiction’ NFTs

Yes, Quentin Tarantino directed and co-wrote Pulp Fiction, but no, he doesn’t own it — at least that’s according to the studio Miramax, which is suing him for those Pulp Fiction NFTs he recently announced

Miramax was the one-time Oscar-magnet studio owned by Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob. Since Harvey Weinstein’s incarceration on sex charges, however, the studio has severed ties with the disgraced producer.

The Hollywood Reporter says the suit claims Tarantino didn’t get permission to launch his non-fungible tokens based on the hit Oscar-winning crime classic; as previously reported, the NFTs were to contain never-before-seen secrets and other goodies from the film.

The trade quotes Miramax’s suit as saying it was filed “in order to enforce, preserve, and protect its contractual and intellectual property rights relating to one of Miramax’s most iconic and valuable film properties.”

Furthermore, it states, “Left unchecked, Tarantino’s conduct could mislead others…into believing they have the rights to pursue similar deals or offerings, when in fact Miramax holds the rights needed to develop, market, and sell NFTs relating to its deep film library.”

However, Tarantino’s lawyers countered, saying the NFTs fall into special rights he had enumerated in his contract. The trade notes the situation might be legally murky, seeing as NFTs didn’t exist back when Tarantino made the 1994 film.

Serena and Venus Williams are overflowing with pride about King Richard, the story of how their father, Richard Williams, groomed them to become tennis superstars.

“It’s so cool we get to share with the world everything that my father means to me and our family and all that he’s done for us,” Serena told Variety. “It’s an original story of how a family actually succeeded. I’m so proud that it’s been being told this way,” Venus added.

Will Smith, who stars in the title role, hopes that Richard appreciates a special scene when his character tells Venus, portrayed by Saniyya Sidney, to be prepared for the pressure of representing Black girls for her entire career.

“It was a really private moment that I was able to share,” Smith says, “so I hope he felt honored and saw my love for him in that scene.”

King Richard debuts in theaters and begins streaming on HBO Max on Friday.

In other news, Fat Joe and Remy Ma will be among the stars sitting in for Wendy Williams. Joe will host the show Tuesday, November 23, followed by Remy on Wednesday November 24. Finally, Halle Berry is reconfirming that Cardi B is “the Queen of Hip Hop.” After she made that statement Saturday at the premiere of her new film, BruisedNicki Minaj fans were upset. “There’s room for more than one queen,” Halle said Monday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “Nicki is a queen in her own right, H.E.R. is a queen. All these ladies to me are queens.”

After forcefully separating his name from Jeopardy!, following what turned out to be a pretty shady “try out” period to replace Alex TrebekLeVar Burton is getting his own game show.

The beloved Reading Rainbow Emmy winner and Star Trek: The Next Generation star will topline and produce a television version of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit, which is being produced by Hasbro-owned Entertainment One.

Trivial Pursuit is one of the best-known brands in the gaming universe,” Burton said in a statement, saying he’s “thrilled” to partner with Hasbro and its eOne.

For her part, co-producer Tara Long called Burton, “an iconic member of American pop culture for decades,” whose, “love for intellectual curiosity paired with his ability to connect with audiences worldwide make him the perfect partner…”

The show hasn’t announced a network on which it will air.

In September, Burton said on Trevor Noah‘s The Daily Show that he’d mentally moved on from the Jeopardy! situation. “The crazy thing is that when you set your sights on something…they say be careful of what you wish for, because what I found out is that it wasn’t the thing that I wanted after all,” Burton explained.

“What I wanted was to compete. I mean, I wanted the job, right? But then, when I didn’t get it, it was, like ‘Well, okay, what’s next?'”

Burton added, “The opportunities that have come my way as a result of not getting that gig, I couldn’t have dreamt it up. If you had given me a pen and paper and said, ‘Well, so what do you want this to really look like?’ If it doesn’t include Jeopardy, I wouldn’t have been this generous to myself.”

Lady Gaga is opening up on what her dramatic transformation entailed for the upcoming film, House of Gucci.

In the Ridley Scott-directed film, Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, the woman who was famously convicted of arranging the murder of her ex-husband, Italian fashion heir Maurizio Gucci.

Ahead of the film’s Nov. 24 release, Gaga spoke about the steps she took to embody Reggiani on the big screen and gave her thoughts on the woman who served 18 years in prison for the infamous crime.

“There was a lot that was in the media that was sensationalized about how she was this gold digger and about how she killed for greed and money,” Gaga said Tuesday on Good Morning America.

“I believe it was love, and I believe it was survival,” she added.

Despite feeling Reggiani was somewhat mischaracterized in the press, Gaga said she still had her reasons for not meeting with the woman.

“I didn’t wanna meet her because I could tell very quickly that this woman wanted to be glorified for this murder, and she wanted to be remembered as this criminal,” Gaga said.

“I didn’t wanna collude with something that I don’t believe in,” she continued. “You know, she did have her husband murdered.”

Instead, Gaga said she dove into her own research and worked at mastering Reggiani’s accent.

“I was just in Milan the other day doing a television show, and I had the most wonderful time with Fabio, who did my interview,” Gaga said. “When he told me that he was so impressed with my accent and that Italian people were impressed with my accent, I couldn’t think of a higher honor.”

See more of Lady Gaga’s interview with Michael Strahan on Nightline tonight at 12:35 a.m. ET on ABC.

“It’s insane. It’s infuriating”: George Clooney unloads on deadly ‘Rust’ set shooting

“It’s insane. It’s infuriating”: George Clooney unloads on deadly ‘Rust’ set shooting
“It’s insane. It’s infuriating”: George Clooney unloads on deadly ‘Rust’ set shooting
ABC

Oscar winning actor and producer George Clooney virtually sat down with Marc Maron on his WTF podcast Monday and discussed last month’s fatal shooting on the set of the movie Rust.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was injured when star and producer Alec Baldwin fired a gun he believed was “cold,” meaning unloaded.  An investigation is ongoing.

Clooney explained he was good friends with actor Jon-Erik Hexum, who was killed in 1984 when he put a blank-loaded gun to his head and fired. George also revealed he was “really good friends” with Brandon Lee, who was mortally wounded in 1993 when an unnoticed bullet was fired into his abdomen by a blank charge on the set of The Crow.

“That was a series of…really stupid things,” Clooney said, detailing that accident.

Of the Rust shooting, Clooney exclaimed, “Why for the life of me, this low-budget film, with producers who haven’t produced anything, wouldn’t have hired for the armorer someone with experience,” he said, referencing 24-year-old neophyte Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.

“Maybe they weren’t doing target practice with that gun, but they had live ammo with dummies in her pack. And that is insane,” Clooney said. “It’s infuriating.”

“It’s a terrible accident,” Clooney continued. “But a 24-year-oldperson with that little experience shouldn’t be heading up a department with guns and bullets on it.”

Gutierrez-Reed’s attorney has said he believes someone mixed live rounds with dummy rounds on the Rust set in order to sabotage the production, but has provided no public proof to support the claim.

“Every single time I’m handed a gun on a set,” Clooney explains, “I look at it, I open it, I show it to the person I’m pointing it at…every single take…And part of the reason we do that is because of Brandon.”

Clooney said he “hoped” Baldwin did the same, but didn’t know.  He also said, “I’ve never heard the term ‘cold gun,'” referring to the term assistant director David Halls reportedly said to Baldwin to indicate that the gun was empty.

Allowing that “dummy bullets are tricky” because it takes a close inspection to see whether they’re harmless or not, live bullets had no business being on set. Clooney also said when it comes to revolvers — the same type of pistol Baldwin used —  “you always point it at the ground and squeeze it [the trigger] six times” to ensure nothing comes out of the barrel.
