Chlöe has joined the cast of the coming-of-age drama The Julia Set. Deadline reports she is one of six new cast members, along with Nina HossCarmen Ejogo, Nico HiragaLiz Lin and Alex Dillard. Production for the film has begun, but it’s not clear what characters the new cast members will play.

The Julia Set, written and directed by Niki Byrne, follows Chase Infiniti as Julia, a mathematician who prepares for the most challenging math competition in the world with help from her T.A. Pascal, played by Christopher Briney.

“We all loved Niki’s excellent screenplay following the journey of a young woman assuming her genius in an academic field dominated traditionally by men and how challenging that is for her,” says Gabrielle Stewart, of HanWay Film CEO, which has joined The Julia Set team to handle worldwide sales. “In a way this is a female-led Good Will Hunting. And the cast could not be more exciting nor of the moment!”

Tessa Thompson stars in director Nia DaCosta‘s Hedda.

The new movie is a reimagining of the classic Henrik Ibsen play about a newlywed whose simmering discontent hidden under outward composure threatens to explode when her former lover reenters her life.

Thompson spoke to ABC Audio about her approach in taking on the complex character.

“I’m really attracted to work that kind of tears you apart and puts you back together in new ways,” Thompson said. “I don’t think that any of us fit too squarely into any of the boxes we try to put ourselves in or that we’re put in by others. I think we are all so much more complicated and in conflict internally with all of our bits and pieces than we allow ourselves to be.”

The actress said that playing Hedda demands you to admit that to yourself.

“Otherwise you can’t do it,” Thompson said. “I was really grateful to be held to task and reminded by playing her that we are all really complicated as humans.”

DaCosta’s adaptation includes specific changes to the original text — including switching the gender of Hedda’s former lover from male to female. In the original play, the character is Ejlert Løvborg. In the film she becomes Eillen Lovborg, played by Nina Hoss.

“I wanted it to really be about Hedda, not Hedda Gabler, not Hedda Tesman, but Hedda, who is she without her father’s name, her husband’s name,” DaCosta said. “Ejlert Løvborg becomes Eileen in part because I wanted another woman, another parallel path for her. I wanted a foil to Hedda. And also Ejlert to me just made more sense as a woman … seeing another version of Hedda’s struggle on another female character, I thought, was really exciting.”

Only Murders in the Building has officially been renewed for season 6.

Hulu has announced that the original comedy series has been renewed for a 10-episode sixth season. Additionally, the upcoming sixth season will film overseas for the first time ever. The crime-solving trio of Charles, Oliver and Mabel will be trading in New York City for London in order to solve a new mystery.

The season 5 finale of Only Murders in the Building debuted on Tuesday. The show stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton.

Season 5 featured a star-studded cast including Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman and Christoph Waltz.

The fifth season found the trio investigating what could have led to the death of their beloved doorman, Lester.

“Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia,” according to the official season 5 synopsis. “The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.”

Gomez took to Instagram to celebrate the end of season 5 and the upcoming sixth season.

“Well, looks like our fam is going to London y’all,” Gomez wrote on her Instagram Story.

The actress also shared a photo of Short and Martin smiling, with a message of gratitude written on it.

“I want to thank our community and fans of @onlymurdershulu for allowing us to even have a season 6!” Gomez wrote. “We are eternally grateful we can bring any of you any sort of joy. My deepest gratitude from Steve, Marty and myself.”

Jennifer Lawrence says she is embarrassed by some of her early press interviews.

In a recent interview with The New Yorker, the actress said she cringes watching her moments with the press from the earlier days of her career.

“Oh, no. So hyper. So embarrassing,” Lawrence said of those interviews.

She went into more detail about why she feels this way.

“Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defense mechanism,” Lawrence said. “And so it was a defense mechanism, to just be, like, ‘I’m not like that! I poop my pants every day!’ … I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying. I get why seeing that person everywhere would be annoying. Ariana Grande’s impression of me on SNL was spot-on.”

Lawrence is referencing a Saturday Night Live bit from 2016. Grande played the actress in a Celebrity Family Feud sketch, saying lines like, “I’m just, like, a snackaholic. I mean, I love Pringles. If no one’s looking, I’ll eat, like, a whole can.”

Lawrence said the backlash against her at the time became “uninhabitable.”

“I felt — I didn’t feel, I was, I think — rejected not for my movies, not for my politics, but for me, for my personality,” Lawrence said.

She said this experience made her think differently about how she approaches her day-to-day life.

“I was people-pleasing for the majority of my life. Working made me feel like nobody could be mad at me: ‘Okay, I said yes, we’re doing it. Nobody’s mad.’ And then I felt like I reached a point where people were not pleased just by my existence,” Lawrence said. “So that kind of shook me out of thinking that work or your career can bring any kind of peace to your soul.”

‘The Wilderness’ shines a light on controversial outdoor youth camps

A new movie called The Wilderness aims to highlight the world of outdoor youth camps.

The industry, which claims to help teenagers struggling with addiction and other issues through rigorous outdoor activity, has sparked backlash over its lack of regulation, with critics saying the camps endanger minors.

“I think for the film, it’s just really spreading awareness, and making people be aware that there are camps like this that exist. I’m sure there are some really great ones, but a lot of them are unregulated,” star Lamar Johnson told ABC Audio.

Johnson said he wasn’t aware of the issue until coming across the script for The Wilderness.

“I read the script and I discovered it in the story. I thought it was just that — a story,” Johnson said. “Then I connected with the director/writer, Spencer King, and he told me that he himself actually went through one of these programs.”

Johnson, who starred in HBO’s The Last of Us, appears as a camp attendee alongside a character played by Hunter Doohan, best known for his role on Netflix’s Wednesday.

“The collaboration with everyone and the camaraderie that we all built together, collectively as a cast, I think is — it was beautiful,” Johnson said.

Part of that camaraderie, he adds, came from filming in beautiful but often grueling desert environments.

“We spent a night outdoors, as they would. We kind of were in this cave, kind of, this kind of cove, and we spent the night under the stars,” Johnson said. “It really allowed us to just live in that headspace while we were shooting.”

In addition to spreading awareness of wilderness camps, Johnson said he hopes audiences leave with empathy for the teens involved.

“You know a lot of these kids are ‘troubled,’ but I think they’re more so misunderstood,” Johnson said.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster were all smiles as they made their red carpet debut in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The duo arrived at the Song Sung Blue premiere together and posed for photos on the carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. They coordinated in matching black attire.

The pair’s first red carpet appearance together comes five months after Jackman’s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, filed for divorce from him.

The former couple, who were married for 27 years, announced their separation in September 2023.

Furness opened up to People earlier this year following her divorce filing, describing the breakup as a “betrayal” and calling it “a profound wound that cuts deep.”

Furness and Jackman finalized their divorce in June 2025. The former couple share two children, Oscar Maximilian Jackman and Ava Eliot Jackman.

Foster and Jackman starred in the Broadway musical The Music Man in 2021. During their time on the show, they each shared moments from rehearsals and more on social media.

In January 2022, Foster shared a series of photos of her and Jackman on Instagram, captioning the post, “A dream to be dancing with Hugh every night in the Music Man.”

Jackman took to X in December 2021 to share a video of him dancing with Foster in rehearsals, captioning the post, “There are hundreds of people who’ve made this moment happen. But there’s one in particular I pay tribute to — @sfosternyc. this show is nothing without you. You’re an exceptional talent and friend.”

Jackman’s latest film, Song Sung Blue, follows the real-life story of a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act.

Good Morning America has reached out to reps for Jackman and Foster for comment.

Sydney Sweeney blames the press for Glen Powell dating rumors

Sydney Sweeney thinks the rumors that she was romantically linked to Glen Powell originated because of the press.

The actress spoke about the frenzy that surrounded the speculation that she had an affair with Powell during the filming and press tour for their 2023 rom-com Anyone But You in a recent interview with Variety.

“Honestly, the press did it themselves. There was no leaning in, per se,” Sweeney said. “Truly the tabloids and journalists just created it and kept going. Even if we were just standing next to each other, it was ‘They’re standing two inches apart!'”

Sweeney said the speculation came about because people enjoyed how she and Powell “genuinely care for each other and have a love and respect for one another.”

“I love being with him. And I think people just truly saw a really beautiful pairing,” the actress continued.

These comments differ from Powell’s assessment of the situation, which he spoke about in an interview with The New York Times in April 2024.

Powell told the outlet that both “fun and chemistry” are necessary to sell rom-coms.

“That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully,” Powell said. “Sydney is very smart.”
