Sharon Osbourne is obviously back on her feet after being rushed to the hospital for a “medical emergency” over the weekend. As reported, The Osbournes matriarch fell ill while shooting a paranormal-themed show with her son Jack, who later updated the stay was brief, and his “mum” was back home.

Page Six reports former The Talk co-host Sharon was seen shopping at the James Perse store in Beverly Hills on Monday, and seemingly back to her feisty self: The publication noted she “seemed irritated” at the paparazzi who snapped her picture.

Osbourne later updated fans with a cheery Christmas tree picture on Instagram featuring a smiling Husky dog, noting, “Back home and doing great! Thank you for all the ❤️.” Amanda Klootz and Carrie Ann Inaba were among the first of tens of thousands to chime in with their relief in the replies.

Jack Osbourne noted on a now-vanished Instagram Story on Saturday that he was, “gonna leave it to [his mom] to share about when she is ready.”

Matt Damon missed out on a cool $250 million dollar payday when he turned down the starring role in Avatar and director James Cameron can’t help but to laugh.

Cameron originally pitched Damon to star in the 2009 film and even offered him a 10% cut of box office profits, Damon revealed in 2021 while at Cannes Film Festival. Given that the film went on to gross over $2 billion, that would have equaled a payday of over $250 million.

“I will go down in history… you will never meet an actor who turned down more money,” Damon said at the time, according to Deadline

In a recent BBC interview, Cameron was asked about the actor and he immediately erupted in laughter.

“He’s beating himself up over this and I really think you know, ‘Matt you’re kind of like one of the biggest movie stars in the world, get over it,'” Cameron said before explaining why Damon had to turn the film down. “He had to do another ‘Bourne’ film which was on his runway and there was nothing we could do about that. So he had to regretfully decline.”

Although Damon missed out on a chance to be in the first movie, Cameron is open to him appearing in a future Avatar sequel but he doesn’t plan on giving him the same deal.

“Must do it. We have to do it so the world is in equilibrium again. But he doesn’t get 10%, f*** that,” Cameron said.

Harvey Weinstein found guilty of rape in Los Angeles sex assault trial

A Los Angeles jury has found disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein guilty on three of seven counts, including rape, in his Los Angeles sexual assault trial.

The jury found Weinstein not guilty on one count, and it was hung on three counts.

The jury will return Tuesday to hear arguments on special findings.

Weinstein initially faced 11 counts in the trial, but four charges relating to Jane Doe No. 5, including two counts of forcible rape and two counts of forcible oral copulation, were dropped by the prosecution.

The 70-year-old former movie executive pleaded not guilty and has said all of the encounters were consensual.

The four women all testified during the trial, including Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Siebel Newsom was referred to as Jane Doe No. 4 during the trial, but she has been publicly identified by her lawyer.

The jury took some 40 hours over 10 days to reach their decision.

The trial in Los Angeles came 2 1/2 years after Weinstein was found guilty of similar crimes in New York City, a landmark decision after the so-called #MeToo movement, in which powerful men were exposed for sexual misconduct, began largely around bombshell reports about the Miramax founder’s behavior in The New York Times and The New Yorker in fall 2017.

Weinstein is already serving a 23-year prison sentence in New York for criminal sexual assault and third-degree rape.

James Gunn fires back at “disrespectful outcry” over DC movie decisions

James Gunn fires back at “disrespectful outcry” over DC movie decisions
Gunn, Safran — Warner Bros. Discovery

It was announced last week that Henry Cavill would not return as Superman after all in Warner Bros. Discovery’s DC Comics-based universe, and ever since, fans have been vocal about it online.

Actually, it’s getting downright nasty out there, with much of the ire coming from director Zack Snyder‘s rabid fanbase and aimed at James Gunn, one of the two guys in charge of the costumed heroes’ fates.

Gunn and his producing partner Peter Safran have apparently nixed Cavill, and likely Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman, and are reportedly mulling a new role for Jason Momoa after his second Aquaman movie opens. Further, Gunn has talked to Ben Affleck about stepping behind the camera and evidently not back into the batsuit as he’d done for Snyder.

Numerous “Snyderverse” fans started posting box office numbers and Rotten Tomatoes scores of the previous Warner Bros. DC movies, including Aquaman and Wonder Woman, versus those from Gunn’s offerings, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.

Others were way more personal, taking shots at the Twitter scandal that once got Gunn fired — temporarily — from ABC News’ parent company Disney and its Marvel Cinematic Universe.

To that end, Gunn fired back Monday afternoon in a lengthy Twitter thread. “One of the things Peter & I were aware of when we took the job … was a certain minority of people online that could be, well, uproarious & unkind, to say the least,” he began.

Gunn insisted the choices they make “are based upon what we believe is best for the story & best for the DC characters who have been around for nearly 85 years” and “are made with sincere hearts & integrity & always with the story in mind.”

Gunn also added, “No one loves to be harassed or called names – but, to be frank, we’ve been through significantly worse. Disrespectful outcry will never, ever affect our actions.”

While he admits there are other Santa helpers out there, the real Santa, Santa J. Claus, has become an influencer on, where else, TikTok.

@SantaJClaus has some 4.4 million followers on the social media platform, spreading Christmas cheer wherever his videos pop up.

In addition to in-person visits, Santa J. Claus tells ABC Audio his TikTok channel allows him to make virtual visits to kids in the hospital, putting smiles on the faces of children the world over who can’t get home for the big day.

Santa tells ABC Audio that as soon as he got on “the Tickytock,” as he calls it, he knew he’d found a perfect place to reach as many people as he could. “It was quite clear the very first moments that there was a need and hopefully I could, in whatever way possible, be able to fill it in my special way.”

He explained even jolly ol’ St. Nick was surprised by how quickly his account took off. “I saw that there was a bakery baking cookies and I thought I would react to the bakery baking cookies,” he shared with a hearty ho-ho-ho.

“And then, my friend, I posted a video and in just a few short moments it had 50,000 views, 60,000 views, 100,000 views, 200,000 views. And then the single day, my very first day on the Tickytock, I had 150,000 followers,” he adds with a laugh.

Santa closed with a holiday greeting for all. “From my heart to yours: I’m wishing you and the audience to all of those within the sound of my voice a wonderful season and beyond filled with love and joy, peace and happiness and all good things. And certainly a very, very Merry, Merry Christmas.”

MGM dropped two sneak peeks of the upcoming third Creed movie on Monday. The first was an official trailer of the movie, which marks the directorial debut of its star, Michael B. Jordan.

As seen in the teaser trailer, Creed III shows Jordan’s Adonis Creed welcoming his old friend Damian (Jonathan Majors) after an 18-year stint in prison and taking him under his wing in the ring. However, Damian turns on his old friend and wants to take the title from him. As MGM teases, “Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.”

“I’m coming for everything!” Majors warns Creed.

Tessa Thompson‘s Bianca tells Creed, “Then maybe you just have to fight him.”

As both men train for their showdown, a title card reads, “There’s no enemy like the past.”

Meanwhile, MGM also released an IMAX featurette with director Jordan taking viewers behind the scenes of the movie, which was shot for the huge format.

“To be able to step behind the camera, and get a chance to elevate and evolve this story, is something I’m eternally grateful for,” Jordan says.

Creed III is not your typical boxing story,” Jordan says, explaining it is the first sports film to be shot on IMAX cameras, giving you a chance to see “every bead of sweat … every impact, the ripples in the skin … and really immerse yourself if this world.”

Creed III hits theaters March 3.

Amber Heard says she’s settled Johnny Depp defamation case

Amber Heard says she’s settled Johnny Depp defamation case
Amber Heard says she’s settled Johnny Depp defamation case

Amber Heard announced Monday that she and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, have settled their high-profile defamation case.

“After a great deal of deliberation I have made a very difficult decision to settle the defamation case brought against me by my ex-husband in Virginia,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

She went on to say, “It’s important for me to say that I never chose this. I defended my truth and in doing so my life as I knew it was destroyed.”

A jury sided with Depp in the lengthy defamation trial between him and Heard in June. The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and no punitive damages. Virginia law states that punitive damages are capped at $350,000, so Depp will receive a total of $10.35 million.

In their respective testimonies during the trial, both Heard and Depp claimed the other abused them. The former couple, who met while filming 2011’s The Rum Diary and were married from 2015 to 2017, denied the other’s claims of abuse.

Heard filed a notice of appeal on July 21, with Depp filing a notice of appeal the following day.

In her note Monday, Heard touched on the impact of the media in the defamation case with her former spouse: “The vilification I have faced on social media is an amplified version of the ways in which women are re-victimised [sic] when they come forward.”

She also said of the settlement, “I have made no admission. This is not an act of concession. There are no restrictions or gags with respect to my voice moving forward.”

In her post, Heard also said she “lost faith in the American legal system” for how her case was handled.
