She is Eloise. She is six. And she is headed to Netflix.

The streaming service has announced that a new live-action film adaptation of Kay Thompson‘s classic children’s book series Eloise is on the way.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has co-written and will direct the upcoming film, which stars newcomer Mae Schenk as the titular young girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel. Ryan Reynolds will co-star in the film that is set to start production in London in November.

While the logline of the upcoming movie is being kept under wraps, it will be a completely original story based on Thompson’s books, which were illustrated by Hilary Knight.

“Eloise has been beloved for generations, from when she was first published in the 1950s through to today, when no family trip to New York City is complete without a stop at The Plaza,” Hannah Minghella, Head of Feature Animation and Family Film at Netflix, said. “It’s an honor to reintroduce this cherished character to the world with two people who share her signature mischief and charm — Amy Sherman-Palladino and Ryan Reynolds — in this bold, hilarious, and heartfelt new family film.”

The independent studio MRC acquired the rights to Eloise in 2019. It will oversee production of the film in collaboration with the Thompson estate, Knight and Simon & Schuster, who published the book series. Handmade Films will work with MRC on the film’s production.

“We’ve been working with the Thompson estate and Handmade Films for a long time to bring Eloise to fans everywhere, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Maximum Effort, Amy, and Netflix to bring the cherished children’s property to audiences around the world,” MRC Film co-presidents Jonathan Golfman and Brye Adler said.

Can you tell me how to watch, how to watch the Sesame Street season 56 trailer?

Netflix has released the official trailer for the new season of the freshly reimagined version of the classic children’s TV show.

Season 56 will find the gang going inside the show’s famous brownstone for the first time ever, and will include appearances from celebrity guests, brand-new original music, animated segments and more. The show will launch on Netflix in over 30 languages, giving children across the globe the ability to access the show.

Fans can expect updates to the format of the show with the reimagined new episodes. They will now all center on one 11-minute story, which Netflix says will “put young viewers at the center of the action.”

The episodes will drop in three different volumes, with a different special guest appearing in each volume. NASCAR champion Bubba Wallace will be the featured guest in the first batch of episodes.

Sesame Street‘s executive producer, Sal Perez, spoke about the brand-new season of the show in a press release.

“Season 56 reimagines Sesame Street, inviting children into the action and bringing them hand-in-hand through high-stakes stories, powerful learning moments, and laugh-out-loud surprises,” Perez said. “As always, Sesame Street’s curriculum is designed to meet children’s most pressing needs — so our focus this season is on kindness and compassion, something we can all use more of today.”

Sesame Street first aired on Nov. 10, 1969, with episodes running on PBS since 1970. The show moved to HBO in 2016, with episodes airing on PBS months after they dropped on HBO to ensure maximum reach and accessibility. A deal was struck in 2019 that moved Sesame Street to HBO Max.

Sesame Street season 56 arrives to Netflix on Nov. 10.

The cast for American Horror Story season 13 has been revealed, and it features some familiar faces.

Ryan Murphy announced the cast of the 13th season of the horror series on Friday, which just so happened to be Halloween.

Ariana Grande has been cast in the new season of the FX anthology series, marking her reunion with Murphy after appearing in his comedy series Scream Queens a decade ago.

The lucky number 13th season of the show will feature franchise regulars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe and Leslie Grossman.

This season marks a Scream Queens reunion, as both Roberts and Lourd acted alongside Grande in the comedy show.

Murphy made the casting announcement through a video shared to his Instagram. The video featured a black screen with the cast’s names appearing in the signature American Horror Story font.

After all of the names were announced, the video referenced one of the most quoted lines of dialogue from the series, spoken by Roberts’ character Madison Montgomery in American Horror Story: Coven.

“Surprise, b****. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” the video reads.

The video ends by telling fans they can expect the 13th season on Halloween in 2026.

Not only is the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack going strong on the charts, some of the most popular Halloween costumes this year are characters from the movie: specifically Rumi, Mira and Zoey, the three members of the movie’s K-pop girl group HUNTR/X.

Fans are of course waiting for a sequel, but so are the movie’s stars. Arden Cho, who voices Rumi, says she’d love to see the return of Rumi’s love interest, Jinu.

“I mean, they never even got to kiss,” she laughs. “But he sacrificed his life for her!”

“But he was a demon. So was it his life? Or the soul he was missing?” she muses. “Either way, I’d love to see more. I think it’s such a fun dynamic between the two. … I love that [Rumi] found growth through Jinu, and Jinu found growth though Rumi. And I just love that relationship so much.”

But May Hong, who voices Mira, wants the next film to be more of a prequel. “I think we’re all really curious about more of their origin stories, and how they came to be and what made them who they are,” she tells ABC Audio. “I’m really curious about Mira’s family, as well. You know, what made her feel so rebellious?”

Arden agrees with May about needing some answers about the whole K-pop idols vs. demons world.

“I’d love to know, were they idols first, right?” she says of HUNTR/X. “Like, can you imagine if they were pop stars first, was there a day that someone was like, ‘Oh, by the way, you’re also gonna save the world.’ And they’re like, ‘What?'”

“Or were they, like, saving the world first and then they’re like, ‘We need a cover job.'”

Mayor of Kingstown has returned for season 4.

Jeremy Renner once again stars as Mike McLusky, whose control over Kingstown is threatened in season 4 as he deals with the headstrong new warden Nina Hobbs, played by Edie Falco.

Renner spoke to ABC Audio about how filming season 4 was different from season 3, notably because he had recovered from his 2023 snow plow accident that broke over 30 of his bones and nearly cost him his life.

“I was awake for a lot of this season, you know. That’s the first part. Season 3 was a bit challenging, just energy level-wise, outside of just health,” Renner said. “I’m always dealing with recovery stuff, but it wasn’t as intense as it was for season 3. That was — I probably came back a little early on that one, but we still got that done.”

Renner said he was able to enjoy making season 4 a lot more than the third.

“And thank goodness, because there would have been a travesty if I was kind of half-in-the-bag in recovery and having Edie come around. So I’m glad I was really present. I was much more present and much more alert in my life, personality even. [It] wasn’t so much about recovery as much.”

Falco spoke about how Warden Hobbs holds her own against McLusky in season 4.

“They’re both used to being the head honcho, where in their communities it was without question who people go to when something needs to be handled. But when two of those alpha people meet each other, it’s gonna be nothing if not interesting,” Falco said. “There’s a lot of ways where it’s a constant fluctuation in their interactions throughout the season, which was really great fun.”

New episodes of Mayor of Kingstown debut Sundays on Paramount+.

Neve Campbell is back in the Scream 7 official trailer.

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass released the trailer for the upcoming horror film on Thursday.

The new film follows what happens “when a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Campbell) has built a new life,” according to its official synopsis. “Her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”

The trailer starts with a couple checking in to stay at the original Scream house, which is now an Airbnb. After we see the pair get attacked by a Ghostface killer, the trailer cuts to Sidney Prescott receiving a sinister phone call.

“Hello, Sidney. Did you miss me?” The mysterious caller says. “Nice little town you’ve found. You and your pretty daughter. Reminds me of where we grew up.”

The trailer ends with a line of dialogue that fans believe sounds like franchise veteran Matthew Lillard‘s voice.

“This is gonna be fun,” the voice says.

Along with Campbell making her Scream return, this seventh film in the franchise finds Courteney Cox returning as Gale Weathers. The cast also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Ethan Embry, Timothy Simons and Mark Consuelos.

Kevin Williamson directs the film from a script he co-wrote with Guy Busick. Williamson also wrote the original 1996 Scream film.

Scream 7 comes to theaters on Feb. 27, 2026.
