While Neve Campbell famously bowed out of Scream VI over a salary dispute, the recent release was also missing another original cast member: David Arquette.
And the series’ Dwight “Dewey” Riley missed it, too — seeing as he didn’t survive the fifth.
While talking to The Wrap at the premiere of his new Peacock series Mrs. Davis, the actor feigned tears, explaining, “I totally feared missing out. I was like watching it all alone, but [with] an extra big tub of popcorn, lots of candy.”
He did add that he “loved it,” saying he thought “they did an amazing job” on the film.
As for Campbell’s potential return, Arquette is all for it. “Absolutely. I definitely miss Neve being a part of it. I’d love to see her come in and go like real hardcore!”

When Amazon acquired MGM and its massive movie library, it wasn’t just to keep Prime Video members’ play buttons busy. Deadline is reporting the company is flipping through the studio’s intellectual property with an eye toward rebooting some of them, and Robocop, Stargate and Barbershop are among the IPs.
While the 1987 Robocop is considered a sci-fi classic and spawned two sequels of its own — as well as a short-lived TV series and a 2014 reboot that tanked — the trade says Amazon Studios is looking to upgrade it once again.
Same goes for Stargate. The 1994 sci-fi film starred James Spader and Kurt Russell, and spawned a long-running syndicated TV property, but it could be reawakened.
While Legally Blonde is an MGM property, and a third movie is already in the script phase, that universe could be back in play under Amazon Studios — for the big or small screen.
According to Deadline, Barbershop, Fame and The Magnificent Seven are also on the docket for new TV properties, sources say.
Tan France and his husband, Rob France, are expecting baby number two via surrogate, the star of Netflix’s Queer Eye announced via social media on Thursday.
“Hard to believe it was two years ago today we announced Ismail was on his way! And today — we couldn’t be prouder to share that he’s going to be a big brother!” France captioned a clip from his appearance on the Milk Drunk podcast posted on Instagram.
“Becoming dads has been our greatest joy, and we are so excited to grow our family with the help of our wonderful surrogate,” he continued. “I’m excited to share more about our journey through surrogacy, becoming dads of two and a few choice words for anyone with opinions on our choices.”
France did not reveal the baby’s due date, but shared, “We are due not so long from now.”
Two of Tan’s Queer Eye co-stars commented on the video; Karamo Brown responded with heart emojis, while Jonathan Van Ness wrote, “Congratulations!”
The 39-year-old fashion designer and pediatric nurse and illustrator tied the knot in 2007 and welcomed their first child, Ismail in July 2021.
Today is Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-creator Rob McElhenney‘s 46th birthday, and to help him celebrate — and bust his chops — his pal and Wrexham AFC Football Club partner Ryan Reynoldsis singing about it.
Flexing his vocal muscles that he pumped for his holiday musical Spirited, Ryan sings McElhenney’s praises, in a charming Irish jig about how to pronounce the latter’s name.
“Pronouncing all those Ns and Es and Hs can perplex ’em, so here’s a little birthday gift from all your mates in Wrexham,” Ryan sings, complete with footage of people screwing up Rob’s name on camera. “While ways to massacre it and mispronounce it there are many/If there was doubt, now there won’t be any — it’s McElhenney,” the song goes.
The uplifting ditty not only features out of context cringey clips from McElhenney’s career, but also happy townsfolk and Wrexham fans and players, dancers, and celebrities including Rob’s Always Sunny co-star and wife Kaitlin Olson, as well as his fellow show co-creators Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.
The over-the-top production is part of an ongoing prank war between pals Ryan and Rob, ending with a chalkboard, showing Ryan adding a “tick” to his side of the board.

It’s still not clear what happened to Jamie Foxx, after his daughter Corrinnoted on Tuesday that he’d suffered a “medical complication,” and that, “due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
That said, his former Ray co-star Kerry Washingtonposted to social media a get well message to the Oscar winner. Complete with a throwback picture of the two of them, Kerry wrote, “Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin,” adding a string of prayer and heart emojis.
TMZ doesn’t know exactly what emergency Foxx suffered, either, but noted it was “serious enough” that family members rushed to his hospital bed.
For their part, many of Foxx’s and Washington’s fans admitted her post “scared” them. “What happened?” commented more than one.
Another vented, “I don’t like this… scared tf outta me.”

Drake Bell is speaking out after being declared missing on Thursday and then found later the same day.
He insists nothing was amiss.
Taking to social media, also on Thursday, the former Nickelodeon star joked about the situation, tweeting, “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” He added the crying laughing emoji to the end of the post.
The tweet comes after authorities in Daytona Beach, Florida, said Bell was found safe on Thursday after police alerted the public hours earlier that the actor was “considered missing and endangered.”
“At this time we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe,” Daytona Beach police said Thursday afternoon.
There was no further information on where he was found or why he was considered missing.
The 36-year-old actor, whose legal name is Jared Bell, is best known for his role in Drake & Josh, which was a huge hit for Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2007. He has appeared in a variety of shows in guest roles since then and has had a recurring voice role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in animated shows such as Ultimate Spider-Man from 2012 to 2017, Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
Mrs. Maisel is ready for her curtain call. The Emmy-winning Amazon Prime Video comedyThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel debuts the first three episodes of the fifth and final season Friday.
The show follows Miriam Maisel, played by Rachel Brosnahan, an unfulfilled 1950’s New York housewife who throws herself head first into the world of stand up comedy. Along the way she teams up with a down-on-her-luck manager, Susie Myerson, played by Alex Borstein, and the two try and forge a path in a world where women often weren’t welcome.
While fans may have wanted the series to go for longer, show co-creator Dan Palladino tells ABC Audio they knew it wasn’t going for 10 seasons.
“A lot of shows go past their expiration dates and I think fans always know that,” he explains.
Additionally, his fellow show creator and spouse Amy Sherman–Palladino admits that they’ve known how the show was going to end from day one.
“That ending was in the pitch, in the initial pitch for the show,” Sherman-Palladino shares, adding that it gave the duo a roadmap to follow.
“That’s the fun place, that’s the weird trajectory,” she says. “And then what are all the twists and turns that can get us there?”
Although Amy and Dan knew the ending, it’s still a bittersweet moment for the creators.
“We love the cast. We’re going to miss them,” says Palladino. “We want to work with them all separately again.”
Sherman-Palladino adds, “We have all their home information, so we know how to find them and we will be stalking them.”
As far as Sherman-Palladino’s hopes for the season ahead, “Our main goal this season was honestly just sticking the landing and making sure that her journey that she and Susie set out… barrel to a conclusion one way or another.”
Their upcoming Apple TV+ comedy show is called Brother from Another Mother, but it turns out it might not be just a clever title: Best buds and co-stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson very well could be actual brothers.
In a chat with Kelly Ripa on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, McConaughey expressed, “You know, where I start and where he ends, and where he starts and I end, has always been like a murky line, and that’s part of our bromance, right?”
He continues, “In Greece a few years ago, we’re sitting around talking about how close we are and our families,” McConaughey continued. “And my mom is there, and she says, ‘Woody, I knew your dad.’ Everyone was aware of the ellipsis that my mom left after ‘knew.’ It was a loaded K-N-E-W.”
McConaughey did some investigating “to unpack what this ‘knew’ meant,” and “did some math and found out that [Woody’s] dad was on furlough at the same time that my mom and dad were in their second divorce. Then there’s possible receipts and places out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering, or a meeting, or a ‘knew’ moment.”
McConaughey said they haven’t decided to take a DNA test, noting, “It’s a little harder for me because he’s asking me to take a chance to go, ‘Wait a minute, you’re trying to tell me my dad may not be my dad after 53 years of believing that?’ I got a little more skin in the game.”
Brother from Another Mother, what Apple TV+ says will be a 10-episode, “heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson,” comes from Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek alum David West Read.
(NOTE LANGUAGE)“Your life is fascinating. I don’t know what it’s like to live it, but … do we have fun watching it,” John Mulaney tells Pete Davidson in the new trailer to the latter’s semi-autobiographical Peacock comedy series Bupkis.
Set to My Chemical Romance‘s “Welcome to the Black Parade,” the snippet opens with the former SNL star confessing to his grandfather, played by Oscar winner Joe Pesci, that he’d been Googling himself. “People think that I’m a joke.”
“That’s because you are a joke,” Pesci warns him.
The show, said to contain “absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known,” also stars Emmy winner Edie Falco as Pete’s mom, trying, as the rest of his family is, to get him on the straight and narrow.
Pete apparently skirts the line between sobriety and sanity in the clip, with his well-advertised reputation as a ladies man getting a mention. “Every guy fantasizes about having your life. That’s why we all hate you,” Bobby Cannavale expresses as his Uncle Tommy.
Later, both Ray Romano and Jon Stewart separately make mention of Davidson’s rumored endowment, with the former directly referring to it and calling Pete “P**** Thanos.”
Other faces that pop up in the trailer include co-stars Simon Rex, and Pete’s latest rumored girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, as well as comic Dave Attell, Charlie Day and former Vice President Al Gore.
The show debuts on Peacock May 4, two days before Davidson returns to Saturday Night Live as host.
