On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled the full trailer to hard-hitting sequel Extraction 2.

Once again, Chris Hemsworth stars as Tyler Rake, the not-quite-dead mercenary who survived being “clinically dead” at the original’s climax, only to take on another risky mission.

This time around, he needs to rescue “the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held,” according to the streamer.

The trailer shows a team of baddies dismounting a helicopter to storm a moving train in an effort to snatch the targets, only to have Hemsworth’s character show up, guns blazing and fists flying.

About that prison break, the movie’s producers, Marvel movie veterans Joe and Anthony Russo, teased that Extraction‘s stuntman-turned-director Sam Hargrave prepped a one-take, 21-minute-long prison break sequence for his follow-up movie.

The sequel drops on Netflix June 16.

‘Forrest Gump IX’? Tom Hanks says “right now” he could pitch deepfake movies starring his younger self

While de-aging digital technology is now commonly being deployed for flashbacks in Hollywood movies — and also, confidentially, to tweak certain stars’ looks on screenTom Hanks says this is only the beginning.

In a conversation on the Adam Buxton Podcast, the two-time Oscar winner said he saw the changes coming when his face was used for a character in 2004’s computer animated film The Polar Express.

While that movie was goofed on then, and especially now, for its creepy “uncanny valley” quality, things have changed.

Hanks says, “We saw that there was going to be this ability to take zeros and ones from inside a computer and turn it into a face and a character. That has only grown a billion-fold since then and we see it everywhere.”

He adds, “What is a bona fide possibility right now is — if I wanted to — I could … pitch a series of seven movies that would star me in them in which I would be 32 years old from now until kingdom come.”

Hanks jokes, “I could be hit by a bus tomorrow and that’s it — but performances can go on and on and on. Outside of the understanding that it’s being done by AI or deepfake there’ll be nothing to tell you that it’s not me and me alone.”

He called it “an artistic challenge” and “a legal one.”

The Forrest Gump star explains there are discussions “in … all of the agencies, and all of the legal firms” in Hollywood “to come up with the legal ramifications of my face and my voice and everybody else’s being our intellectual property.”

Last year, for example, Bruce Willis authorized a deepfake company to use his likeness in an overseas ad after he retired from acting because of his aphasia diagnosis.

“We’re committed to bringing players high-quality games, whether through original IPs or long-beloved ones like The Lord of the Rings,” said Christoph Hartmann, VP, Amazon Games. “Bringing players a fresh take on The Lord of the Rings has long been an aspiration for our team, and we’re honored and grateful that Middle-earth Enterprises is entrusting us with this iconic world. Disney has dropped the trailer to its theme park attraction-based movie Haunted Mansion, and it’s as full of stars as it is ghosts.

At its opening, LaKeith Stanfield dares to step into the titular dwelling, only to be warned by Rosario Dawson‘s character, “I should warn you before you enter, this could change the course of your entire life.”

“I’m not afraid of a couple of ghosts,” he replies.

He seems to immediately regret the decision, as the house is chockablock with specters — and like the Disney ride, plenty of haunted mirrors.

“This mansion is unhinged,” Owen Wilson‘s character, an exorcist, says.

“These ghosts definitely don’t want to leave,” says Tiffany Haddish‘s character, dressed up as a fortune teller.

“Death lurks around every corner,” Danny DeVito‘s Bruce warns Stanfield’s traveler, who dodges ghostly bullets, blades and more.

The trailer also gives peeks at its Oscar winning co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota and Jared Leto, portraying Alistair Crump aka The Hatbox Ghost, as seen on the ride.

The studio teases, “Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Haunted Mansion is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.”

Haunted Mansion opens in theaters on July 28.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

Well, that didn’t take long. A month after he said his goodbyes as host, Ryan Seacrest will reportedly be returning to the Live stage in New York City — but as a guest.

People is reporting Ryan will be back at the recently-rebranded Live with Kelly and Mark on Thursday to promote Sunday night’s finale of American Idol, and also to promote the opening of his Ryan Seacrest Foundation in Memphis.

The non-profit builds “broadcast media centers, named Seacrest Studios, within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media” to, “contribute positively to the healing process for children and their families during their stay.”

While it might be sooner than some expected, the visit isn’t a surprise: When Ryan handed his co-hosting chair to Kelly Ripa‘s husband Mark Consuelos, Seacrest vowed, “This isn’t the end, I’m going to be back.”

His pal and former co-host Kelly replied, “He’s forever adopted. He’s forever a New Yorker and forever a Live co-host, whether he likes it or not.”

While it still hasn’t been made public why Today co-host Hoda Kotb‘s three-year-old daughter Hope was hospitalized in February, her mom says she’s still recovering.

As reported, Hoda took a two-week leave of absence to be with her girl after what the journalist called a “really scary” stint in the intensive care unit.

At Monday night’s Webby Awards in New York City, where she took home a trophy for her Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast, Hoda gave Page Six an update about Hope.

“She’s doing better. There’s still a long road to go, but she’s doing much better,” Hoda said of Hope.

The event’s Best Interview/Talk Show Podcast winner added, “We’re making great progress. This kid is full of healing light, as I say to her.”
