The mostly undead gang from What We Do in the Shadows is coming back July 13 on FX, and to spread the word, FX has dropped a new trailer.

The fifth season of the acclaimed show picks up where the last season left off: Harvey Guillén‘s Guillermo has lost his patience with Nandor (Kayvan Novak) and decides to find someone else to make him a vampire.

However, in the trailer, we learn the transformation isn’t going smoothly — particularly what should be his transformation from a bat and back. Matt Berry‘s Lazlo is trying to guide him, but offering about as much help as one would expect from the self-centered character.

Meanwhile, Colin Robinson, who survives by draining people’s energy, has found a perfect job to do just that — local politics. The coming attraction even shows that Colin will finally get into bed with Natasia Demetriou‘s Nadja, who in the trailer is also trying to find a sexual partner for the ghost of her deceased human form, which as viewers know has inhabited a creepy little doll version of the vampire.

The Staten Island-set show also features a vampire trip to the mall, according to the trailer, which shows Nandor trying to convince a cashier to use a cutout photo of Ryan Seacrest as a coupon.

As part of its Halloween Horror Nights this year, Universal Studios has announced it’s bringing the scares of HBO’s smash video game adaptation The Last of Us to its visitors in a new themed haunted house experience.

In a very spooky trailer, a young woman is playing the hit game online with her friends when a real outbreak interrupts her connection, and the game’s — and series’ — undead “Clickers” begin stalking into her home.

Producers of the attraction tease, “You and your squad must stay silent if you want to survive Clickers and more as the gritty world of Naughty Dog’s video game comes to life.”

The promo video ends with some visitors screaming their heads off as they walk through a room in a post-apocalyptic home.

The attraction takes place on select nights from September 6 through Halloween night at Universal’s Orlando and California parks.

In a lengthy interview in the German publication ZEITmagazin, embattled actor Kevin Spacey details his life after he became ensnared in the #MeToo movement and how he’s aiming for a career comeback.

The interview was published as Spacey faces sex assault charges in a U.K. court on Friday, June 16, less than a year after a New York City jury cleared him in a civil trial from another accuser, actor Anthony Rapp. Rapp claimed Spacey made sexual advances on him in 1986, when Rapp was 14.

Spacey pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault in a London court in July 2022. The charges stem from men who said the two-time Oscar winner sexually assaulted them in England almost 20 years ago.

To the publication, Spacey reportedly said of the accusations, “The moment scrutiny is applied, these things fall apart. That’s what happened in the Rapp trial, and that’s what will happen in this case.”

The interviewer noted interactions the actor had with the public while she spent time with him were overwhelmingly positive. “I draw my resilience from encounters like that,” he comments.

Spacey intimates that’s also the case in private with filmmakers and producers to this day. “It’s a time in which a lot of people are very afraid that if they support me, they will be cancelled,” he says.

“But I know that there are people right now who are ready to hire me the moment I am cleared of these charges in London. The second that happens, they’re ready to move forward.”

Spacey claims in the downtime, he’s been working on himself and his craft, recently in a voiceover role in a low-budget thriller. “Just because I was being benched for a while, I’m not going to stop working,” he says. “I don’t want to get rusty. I’m ready.”

ABC News Studios has announced an upcoming summer slate of true crime shows bound for Hulu.

First up is The Ashley Madison Affair on Friday, July 7. The three-part series will explore the titular “discreet affairs” site, which was hacked, exposing the identities of users who weren’t single but were ready to mingle. “Upon the exposé-style demise of Ashley Madison, the public soon discovered that perhaps the site’s unfaithful users were not the only ones with a secret,” producers tease.

Betrayal: The Perfect Husband premieres Tuesday, July 11. Based on ABC Studios’ popular podcast, the three-part series centers on high school teacher Spencer Herron‘s sexual assaults against his high school students — and how his wife’s vision of their perfect marriage was anything but. The series “features emotional interviews with multiple women who say they were involved with Herron and the one student who put an end to the twisted teacher’s reign of sexual improprieties.”

Thursday, July 27, will see Mother Undercover drop: a four-part series about a group of moms who took matters into their own hands to spare their kids from “murder, international kidnapping, mass suicide and judicial corruption.”

Thursday, August 3, will see the premiere of Demons and Saviors. It’s the three-part story of Christina Boyer, a woman speculated to have telekinetic abilities who was sentenced to life for murdering her 3-year-old daughter. The program follows a group of amateur detectives “consumed by their obsession to exonerate her” by exploring her claims of innocence, her troubled upbringing and her alleged abilities.

While most movie stars don’t want you falling asleep while watching their efforts on-screen, Ryan Reynolds apparently isn’t one of them — at least when it comes to his new project.

On Thursday, June 15, Reynolds took to social media to tease Bedtime Stories, an offering coming to his Maximum Effort channel on FubuTV on Tuesday, June 20.

The teaser opens with a title card reading, “From an anxious mind, comes a restful show.”

The snippet shows the camera tracking through a cozy home at night, while the Deadpool star provides the gentle voice-over. “You know the best part about stories?” he begins. “You remember them.”

Reynolds changes into pajamas behind a screen as he continues, sitting and opening a book for a pair of sheep all tucked in. “And I wanna tell you a bedtime story,” he whispers.

He then shushes the camera and walks out a window to look at the night sky as he sits on the roof.

“Now: Rest your tired bones, and remember … whatever you do, don’t fall asleep,” he says.

The actor captioned the new tease by saying, “The idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born the same day as my fourth child.”

A week after sharing footage from a January brain scan and explaining to her followers that her stage 4 breast cancer has migrated to her brain, Shannen Doherty has posted another throwback video from her ongoing battle.

“January 16, 2023. Surgery. I had a tumor in my head they wanted to remove and also biopsy,” the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star captioned a video of herself in her hospital bed.

The actress is seen joking with a nurse during a pre-op check-up.

“I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified,” the 52-year-old actress explained in the caption, adding, “The fear was overwhelming to me. Scared of all possible bad outcomes, worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her. Worried that I would come out of surgery not me anymore.”

Revisiting a refrain she made in the previous post, Shannen said, “This is what cancer can look like.”

Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and after entering remission, she revealed in 2020 that the disease had spread and returned as stage 4.

In an interview with Good Morning America, the actress said the diagnosis was “a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.”

“I definitely have days where I say, ‘Why me?’ And then I go, ‘Well, why not me?’ Who else? Who else besides me deserves this? None of us do,” she said at the time.

At the the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles Wednesday, June 14, fans and stars in attendance at the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny got a special show before the show.

Oscar-winning composer John Williams, along with an orchestra, performed selections of the new movie’s score, live.

Steven Spielberg, the director of all the Indiana Jones movies except this last chapter, which was directed by James Mangold, introduced the maestro to a standing ovation.

Williams led the musicians through several compositions from the new film, including its main title theme, as well as “Helena’s Theme,” the song Williams wrote for Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s heroine.

Earlier on the red carpet, there was a sweet moment when newly-minted Everything Everywhere Oscar winner — and former Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom star — Ke Huy Quan surprised his former co-star Harrison Ford as he was giving an interview.

Quan sneaked up behind the star, animatedly hopping towards him, before placing his hand on Ford’s shoulder to get his attention. This led to a warm hug between the two, with Quan kissing him on the cheek and calling him “Dr. Jones.”

Smiling, Ford thundered, “You’re all grown up!” to the guy who played sidekick Short Round as a kid.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny swings into theaters June 30, from Lucasfilm, which like ABC News is a subsidiary of Disney.
