Good news for fans of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton books: the upcoming season will stick to the plot of her fourth novel in the series.

“It’s really special and it stays very true to the books,” Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan said in an interview with People.

“I think season 1 was about passion, season 2 was about longing and season 3, I think it’s romance all the way,” she said. “It’s just so romantic.”

Over the weekend, new images of Coughlan as Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton in the upcoming season were shared at Netflix’s Tudum Event in São Paulo, Brazil.

The upcoming season will pick up after season 2’s Featherington Ball when Penelope overhears Colin say that he would never court her, according to Netflix.

“This is the year Penelope thought she was having last year, if that makes sense,” Coughlan told Shondaland in an interview. “I think she thought that she and Colin were a thing and it was happening, and then she got a really rude awakening at the end. I always say year one is ‘girl,’ year two is ‘not a girl, not yet a woman,’ and this year is ‘woman.’ So, she’s entering her woman era this time.”

In addition to Coughlan and Newton, Adjoa Andoh will return as Lady Agatha Danbury, Golda Rosheuvel will return as Queen Charlotte and Jonathan Bailey will return as Anthony Bridgerton.

The release date for the show’s third season has not yet been announced.

Are you ready for more of Zoey and the Pacific Coast Academy gang?

You won’t have to wait much longer. Paramount+ released the official trailer for Zoey 102, the reunion sequel film that brings the cast of the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 together for another adventure.

Along with the trailer, Paramount+ announced that Zoey 102 will be available to stream exclusively on their service on July 27.

Jamie Lynn Spears reprises her lead role as the optimistic Zoey Brooks alongside most of the original show’s main cast, including Sean Flynn as Chase Matthews, Christopher Massey as Michael Barrett, Erin Sanders as Quinn Pensky and Matthew Underwood as Logan Reese.

The trailer confirmed a bunch of information about what’s happened to our favorite PCA students since Zoey 101 ended in 2008.

Zoey, having recently turned 30, is at a crossroads in life. “I just think about all the things I dreamed about in high school,” she says in the trailer. “And now I’m like, ‘Is this it? Is this the dream?’”

The once unlikely couple of Quinn and Logan have stayed together all this time — and now they’re getting married. Zoey will act as Quinn’s maid of honor, which means she is bound to run into her ex-boyfriend, Chase, who is also invited to the wedding.

Zoey 101 ran for four seasons and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Program in 2005.

The domestic violence case against Jonathan Majors is going to trial in August, ABC News has confirmed.

The actor appeared in person in a Manhattan courtroom for the first time the morning of Tuesday, June 20, where a judge set his court date for August 3. According to Variety, the brief hearing lasted just over two minutes.

Majors is required to attend his court date on August 3, or else a warrant can be issued for his arrest after 48 hours, as the judge reminded him.

Arrested on March 25 on domestic violence allegations, Majors was later charged with several counts of assault and aggravated harassment.

Majors’ criminal defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, issued a statement following Tuesday’s court appearance.

“Within a few weeks of these false allegations, we provided the District Attorney with evidence of Mr. Majors’ innocence,” Chaudhry’s statement reads. It continues with Chaudhry reiterating a request for the district attorney to “dismiss all charges” against Majors.

“While we are hopeful that the District Attorney is reviewing these materials in good faith and will do the right thing soon, to accelerate our case, we’ve requested a trial date ASAP,” Chaudhry’s statement reads.

Majors has appeared in films like Creed IIIDa Five Bloods and The Last Black Man in San Francisco. He is best known for his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having appeared in the Loki Disney+ series and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He is currently set to be the major villain for this phase of the superhero franchise.

Sarah Jessica Parker is reflecting on the impact of Sex and the City as the landmark series marks its 25th anniversary.

Sex and the City premiered 25 years ago in June 1998, forever transforming female characters on television thanks to a quartet of women living their lives in bustling New York City: Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall).

One of the biggest questions that has united fans throughout the years is which character — or characters — they relate to the most. So which does Parker see most in herself?

“I think … gosh, you’d think I would be able to answer this question by now,” Parker told Diane Sawyer in a new interview for Good Morning America.

She continued, “I think I’m probably a mix of Miranda and Charlotte and Carrie.”

Why not Samantha? “I think Samantha always had a sorta courage that I don’t think I could muster or summon,” Parker explained.

Sex and the City, which has spawned a prequel series, two movies and a revival series, celebrated single women being brave, making their own choices and owning their mistakes. Parker said the one rule in the writers room on Sex and the City was to tell authentic stories.

“There’s a rule in the writers room on our show, has been from the beginning, that if an experience didn’t happen to one of the writers, if it wasn’t a shared experience that was real, it could not be made up,” Parker said.

As for which line the writers came up with that Parker gets quoted to her the most on the NYC streets she still calls home, the actress revealed it’s “Hello, lover.”

Chronic alcohol abuse led to the death of Cody Longo, the actor best known for playing Nicholas “Nikki” Alamain in the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, according to a medical examiner’s autopsy report obtained by TMZ. Longo was found dead in his home in Austin, Texas on February 8 at the age of 34. Longo’s other credits include films like Ball Don’t Lie and the 2009 Fame reboot. Apple TV+ has canceled Sam Esmail‘s adaptation of Fritz Lange‘s classic 1927 sci-fi movie Metropolis due to marketing costs and “uncertainty related to the ongoing strike,” a rep for UCP, the studio producing the series, tells Deadline. Metropolis, based on Thea Von Harbou‘s 1925 novel, is set “in a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners,” where “the son of the city’s mastermind falls in love with a working-class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences,” per IMDB

Paxton Whitehead, the Broadway and TV actor best-known for his recurring role as Hal Conway, the neighbor of Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt‘s Paul and Jamie Buchman in the NBC sitcom Mad About You, died June 16 at a hospital in Arlington, Virginia, his son Charles tells The Hollywood Reporter. Whitehead’s other notable sitcom appearances included playing Mr. Waltham, Rachel’s boss at Bloomingdale’s and the uncle of Ross’ fiancee Emily, on Friends. Whitehead made his film debut in 1986’s Back to School, portraying Dr. Philip Barbay, dean of the business school at Grand Lakes University — boyfriend of literature professor Sally Kellerman‘s Diane Turner and foil to Rodney Dangerfield’s Thornton Melon. Five months after Julian Sands, who’s appeared on shows including Dexter, and films like WarlockA Room with a View and Ocean’s Thirteen, the San Bernardino County, California Sheriff’s Department shared an update into the ongoing search for the veteran British actor.

“On Saturday, June 17, 2023, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department continued ongoing search efforts in the Mount Baldy wilderness for missing hiker Julian Sands,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement released on Saturday, June 17. “Unfortunately, Mr. Sands was not located.”

“Saturday’s search included over 80 Search and Rescue volunteers, deputies, and staff. Their efforts were supported by two helicopters, and drone crews,” the statement continued. “Aviation resources inserted search teams into remote areas across Mount Baldy and conducted aerial search and assessments efforts. Additionally, drone crews searched areas inaccessible to ground crews.”

“Despite the recent warmer weather, portions of the mountain remain inaccessible due to extreme alpine conditions. Multiple areas include steep terrain and ravines, which still have 10 plus feet of ice and snow,” the statement adds.

Sands’ family reported the 65-year-old actor missing on January 13, a week after he went for a hike on Mount Baldy.

Actor John Malkovich in a February interview with The Guardian, called Sands his “closest friend,” and “a very experienced climber” who “was always tramping off to Kilimanjaro, or Antartica, or the Andes, or the Alps.”

“I suppose the particular conditions on the ground that day on Mt. Baldy must have led to some sort of catastrophic and immediate error that was irreversible,” Malkovich continued. “That was my instinct upon hearing it. But he knew what the conditions were, and that’s what he loved to do. He found great solace in the solitude of that.”

“Batman and Robin…my favorite picture of us,” Imperioli wrote in the caption of an Instagram post, which included a photo of him and Gandolfini from the 55th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2003.

“I can’t help thinking where we ended up that night and what you said,” Imperioli continued. “That was one for the books….It’s so very strange that it’s 10 years today since you left us. Would love to have shot one more scene or had another laugh or one more late night chat.”

Margot Robbie shows off the beautifully artificial ‘Barbie’ Dreamhouse

Warner Bros.

What’s bright, plastic and pink all over? The Barbie Dreamhouse, of course.

In promotion for her upcoming film Barbie, producer and star Margot Robbie gave Architectural Digest a tour of the candy-colored Barbie Dreamhouse set.

“We want things to be obviously artificial, but still very satisfying,” Robbie said. “Even though it’s fake, it’s really beautiful. Which is kind of like everything in Barbie Land.”

Every shade of pink imaginable is on display throughout the home, and the film’s director, Greta Gerwig, says they took great care in establishing the most dominant tints.

“I can’t even tell you the meetings we’ve had about pink,” Gerwig said. “We, like, sat with all these different kinds of pinks, and were like, ‘What is the pink? And how do the pinks interact? … When I was a little girl, I liked the pinkest, brightest things.’”

Amenities include a slide that goes from Barbie’s bedroom down to the heart-shaped pool, a magical wardrobe that displays outfits on the wall similarly to the packaging inside of a doll box and an open concept floor plan without any outer walls so that the Barbies can always see each other.

“All the Barbies in their own Barbie Dreamhouses wake up in the morning and they can wave at each other,” Robbie explains.

And while there is no actual water in Barbie Land, the Dreamhouse does have a shower, a bubble bath and that aforementioned pool.

“It’s actually funny to see how many people avoid walking [on it],” Robbie says. “Everyone walks around the pool.”

Barbie opens in theaters everywhere on July 21.
