John Stamos has joined the cast of The Hunting Wives for season 2. Netflix announced that the actor will be part of the show’s ensemble in a recurring guest role.
Also joining the show are Dale Dickey and Cam Gigandet. Stamos will play the role of Chase Brylan, while Dickey will play Zelda Moffitt and Gigandet will take on the role of Gentle John Moffitt.
This group of actors joins the previously announced new cast members Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan. Netflix promises additional ensemble cast will be announced later on.
Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman lead the cast, which also includes Jaime Ray Newman, DermotMulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery and Branton Box.
Season 2 is currently in production. It will consist of eight episodes. When the show picks back up for the second season, it will find Sophie and Margo on the outs.
“But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together,” according to its official logline. “As they play their dangerous games, the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
Rebecca Cutter created The Hunting Wives and serves as its showrunner, writer and executive producer. The series is based on the novel by May Cobb.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner stepped out in matching orange outfits at the Marty Supreme premiere Monday night.
The 29-year-old actor wore an orange leather suit with orange boots and completed his look with a studded black ping-pong paddle bag, while the 28-year-old reality TV star donned a matching orange floor-length dress for the red carpet appearance in Los Angeles.
Chalamet’s Marty Supreme co-star Gwyneth Paltrow also attended. Her son, 19-year-old Moses Martin, joined her for the occasion.
Paltrow wore a strapless black gown, while Martin sported a brown and black suede sweater with matching dark brown pants.
In Marty Supreme, Chalamet portrays a ping-pong prodigy named Marty Mauser, who “goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness,” according to the film’s logline. Paltrow plays a movie star who Chalamet’s Mauser tries to woo.
The A24 film, which also features Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara, Fran Drescher, Tyler Okonma and KevinO’Leary, is directed by Josh Safdie and will be out in theaters Dec. 25.

Eric Dane has written a new book based on his life and ALS diagnosis.
The book, called Book of Days; A Memoir in Moments, is to be published by Penguin Random House through Maria Shriver‘s publishing imprint, The Open Field. It will arrive on bookshelves in 2026.
Dane writes about the days that have meant the most to him over the course of his life in this new memoir. The book chronicles the days his daughters were born, his first day on set of Grey’s Anatomy, when he first decided to become sober and the day in which he received his ALS diagnosis.
Dane spoke about his decision to pen a memoir, saying he wanted to capture the moments of his life.
“I wake up every morning, and I’m immediately reminded that this is real — this illness, this challenge and that’s exactly why I’m writing this book,” Dane said in a statement. “I want to capture the moments that shaped me — the beautiful days, the hard ones, the ones I never took for granted — so that if nothing else, people who read it will remember what it means to live with heart. If sharing this helps someone find meaning in their own days, then my story is worth telling.”
Shriver said she is honored to publish Dane’s story.
“It’s a courageous one that inspires me deeply,” Shriver said. “Eric wants to give his daughters and family something to be proud of, and this book will not only make them proud, but it will also help people understand what ALS is and isn’t, what happens to someone when they get it, and how we can all be compassionate partners to people suffering with neurological conditions such as this.”
Dane announced he had been diagnosed with ALS in April 2025.
Marcello Hernández in his first-ever stand-up special, ‘Marcello Hernández: American Boy.’ (Netflix)
Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernández has set his first-ever stand-up comedy special.
Marcello Hernández: American Boy will be available to stream on Netflix on Jan. 7, 2026. Written and performed by Hernández and directed by Nicholaus Goossen, the special was filmed in front of the comedian’s hometown audience in Miami, Florida. It runs an hour long.
The stand-up special focuses on Hernández’s experiences while growing up as a first-generation American.
Hernández shared the news about the upcoming stand-up special to his social media on Monday.
“MY FIRST NETFLIX SPECIAL,” he wrote on Instagram. “I started comedy at 18 in Cleveland, Ohio at dive bars, small clubs, and poetry slam rooms. 10 years later, stand up has given me everything. If you’ve ever been to a show, put me on a show, given me advice, or supported me in any way, THANK YOU.”
Hernández has been on Saturday Night Live since 2023. He will voice Shrek and Fiona’s son, Fergus, in the upcoming animated film Shrek 5.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been named the 2025 Time Entertainer of the Year.
The actor, who has been a screen icon for decades, was chosen not just because of the beloved films he has starred in — Titanic, The Wolf of Wall Street and 2025’s One Battle After Another, to name a few— but because he has figured out how to continue having cultural moments that have sustained his entire career, Time wrote.
DiCaprio spoke about maintaining his private life while also being a public figure in a cover story tied to the honor.
“It’s been a balance I’ve been managing my whole adult life and still I’m not an expert,” he told the outlet. “I think my simple philosophy is only get out there and do something when you have something to say, or you have something to show for it. Otherwise, just disappear as much as you possibly can.”
He also shared his thoughts on the role artificial intelligence might play in the future of movies.
“It could be an enhancement tool for a young filmmaker to do something we’ve never seen before,” DiCaprio said, before adding, “I think anything that is going to be authentically thought of as art has to come from the human being.”
The actor also spoke on what he remembers about working with the late Diane Keaton in the film Marvin’s Room.
“She had the most incredible laugh,” DiCaprio said. “It would echo through the entire set, and she made you feel like the funniest person in the world. I mean, burst-out-loud laughing. I’ll never forget it. I kind of lived to make her laugh every day on set, because it was so infectious. She was incredible.”

The 2026 Golden Globe nominations have officially been announced.
Actor Marlon Wayans and actress Skye P. Marshall revealed the nominations live from Los Angeles, where the awards show will take place on Sunday, Jan. 11.
On the film side, One Battle After Another leads with nine nominations, including best motion picture (musical or comedy) and best director.
The White Lotus leads television nominations with six, including best television series (drama).
For the first time, the Golden Globes will honor podcasting in a new category.

Olly Sholotan and Jabari Banks in season 4 of ‘Bel-Air’ (Peacock)
Jabari Banks and Olly Sholotan have portrayed Will Smith and Carlton Banks for four seasons of Bel-Air, and it hasn’t been without its lesson. With Will’s confidence and unique sense of style, Jabari says he’s learned from his character to be unapologetically himself.
“I’ve definitely learned the importance of being yourself in any room that you step into, and being authentic and showing up as yourself because naturally I’m people pleaser,” he tells ABC Audio, noting that sometimes you have to ruffle some feathers. “Will was never scared to do that,” Jabari says of his character. “I’ve definitely taken that part of Will and added it to my repertoire.”
Olly says playing Carlton has made him “a much more compassionate person.”
“I’m a lot more empathetic. I’m a lot more patient,” he shares. “Playing a character that has been through so much struggle and is going through so much struggle just kind of makes you stop and realize that everyone’s dealing with battles that you don’t necessarily know.” He adds that he’s also noticed he’s a “very emotional person,” though he’s uncertain whether “the show has done it to me or if I’ve just always been this way.”
With Bel-Air coming to an end, Olly says he’ll miss the cast, which he calls “the most talented artists in the world.”
“I’ve got to spend four incredible seasons working with all of them every single day, right, and the show is its cast, and it’s that incredible cast that’s gotten us to four seasons,” he says. “I’ll miss these guys forever.”
As for Jabari, he’ll miss the feeling of walking on set and seeing his fellow cast members — plus the great food from the show’s craft service. “We always had a great breakfast,” he shares.
