Before she won Emmys for Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham was famous for playing the “shame nun” Septa Unella in Game of Thrones. She recently proved she’s still got those chops on a U.K. red carpet Sunday evening.

While she didn’t have Septa’s famous bell, she shamed a paparazzo who asked her to be a little more revealing while posing for pictures at the Royal Albert Hall before the Olivier Awards.

The exchange was caught on fan video. “Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man,” Waddingham said, wagging her finger. “Don’t be a d*** otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘show me leg.’ No.” 

The comment drew applause and hoots of approval from those who’d heard it. 

The actress strode off but continued to put the photographer on blast as she walked away; what she said to him afterward wasn’t clear.

Well, the internet may not think Love Is Blind contestant Chelsea Blackwell looks like Megan Fox, but the Transformers actress says she can see it. 

In case you’re unaware of the controversy, it all began when Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell were asked, sight unseen, to describe each other, and he queried whether or not she looked like a celebrity. 

While offering the caveat, “I don’t see it, so don’t get excited,” Blackwell implied people have compared her to Fox.

Her claim, and his reaction at the final reveal, however, went viral. 

That said, Fox finally responded on the matter, telling E! News she had heard about the comparisons secondhand. “I don’t watch much TV,” she noted.

“I’ve never had more people text me about something,” Fox expressed, adding, “Even other celebrities at like Oscar parties were like, ‘Do you watch Love is Blind?’ And I was like, ‘No, but I know what you’re talking about.'”

The actress said, “I did see a picture of her,” adding Blackwell has “very blue, slightly almond shaped slatted eyes,” presumably similar to her own. She said “a hundred thousand percent people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox.’ So, I believe she’s telling the truth.”

While that may be in the slatted eye of the beholder, Fox maintains Blackwell didn’t deserve to get “bullied” by the internet, expressing, “I hope like she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her.”

Megan offered “best wishes and blessings” to Chelsea, adding, “I think people went way too hard” on her.

Jonathan Glazer‘s film The Zone of Interest, which recently won Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound, was the most-watched title on streaming last week, according to the analysts at Reelgood. 

The haunting drama is available for streaming on Max.

In a bit of trivia, it means its producer A24 now has the top movie at the box office, with Civil War, and the top movie on streaming.

The weekly top 10 chart from the company, which monitors 20 million viewing decisions for all platforms, saw Netflix’s series Ripley taking the second slot for the week of April 4 through April 10, 2024.

Ewan McGregor‘s drama series A Gentleman in Moscow, on Paramount+ with Showtime, ranked third, while Apple TV+’s new series Sugar, starring Academy Award winner Colin Farrell was fourth, and the four Oscar-winning film Poor Things starring two-time winner Emma Stone, rounded out the top five of the most-watched titles for last week.

Succession star Sarah Snook and singer/actress Nicole Scherzinger were among the big winners at the 2024 Olivier Awards held Sunday, April 14 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Snook took home the Best Actress trophy for her performance in the Sydney Theatre Company’s version of the Oscar Wilde play The Picture of Dorian Gray. Veteran character actor Ron Thompson, best known for his roles as Detective Nopke in the 1970s TV series Baretta and in Ralph Bakshi‘s animated film, American Pop, died Saturday, April 13, in Los Angeles. His friend, Professor Rel Dowdell of Hampton University, confirmed the news, according to Deadline. A cause of death for the 83-year-old was not given. Alex Garland‘s Civil War topped the domestic box office with an estimated $25.7 million, surpassing expectations and scoring the biggest R-rated opening weekend for a film so far this year. The movie, starring Kirsten Dunst, also marked the biggest opening weekend in A24’s history, surpassing 2018’s Hereditary, which opened in fourth place with $13 million.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which held the top spot for the past two weeks, dropped to second place, delivering an estimated $15.4 million. That brings its North American tally to $157.9 million and $436 million globally.

Third place went to Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which collected an estimated $5.8 million at the domestic box office. It’s four-week total now stands at $96 million and $159 million worldwide.

Kung Fu Panda 4 took fourth place with an estimated $5.5 million, bringing the animated sequel’s North American tally to $173 million and $452 million globally.

Rounding out the top five was Dune: Part Two, scooping up an estimated $4.3 million in its seventh week of release. Its total now stands at $272 million in North America and $683 million worldwide.

Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, known for his unique animal print designs and eponymous fashion house, has died. He was 83 years old.

The legendary designer’s death was announced Friday on his company’s Instagram page along with a heartfelt message. The company did not share details surrounding his cause of death.

“It is with great sadness that today we say our final goodbyes to our founder Roberto Cavalli,” the company wrote in a statement. “From humble beginnings in Florence, Roberto succeeded in becoming a globally recognised name loved and respected by all. Naturally talented and creative, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves.”

“Roberto Cavalli’s legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature and via his family who he cherished,” it continued.

The company also shared several of Cavalli’s inspiring quotes, including, “I copy the dress of an animal because I love to copy God. I think God is the most fantastic designer.”

Some of Cavalli’s first designs included printed leather gowns and were showcased in 1970, according to Vogue.

His luxury fashion house continued to expand to include everything from statement-making leopard prints to elegantly designed dresses seen everywhere from runways to red carpets. The designer’s pieces have been famously worn by notables such as Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham.

While he joked he grew up with “tasteless” food in an Irish Catholic home in Boston and insisted he’s “terrible with hot food,” Conan O’Brien slayed on First We Feast’s Hot Ones show on Thursday. 

The former Late Night host first introduced his “personal physician” of 25 years, calling Dr. Arroyo “not the best, but very affordable.” 

After taking a bite of each wing, Conan decided to pocket the leftovers. 

Conan also talked up his new Max travelogue show, Conan O’Brien Must Go, saying, “My mission is that you learn nothing about the country. My job is that you know less about the country after I’m done than when I started.” The show debuts on April 18, which coincidentally is O’Brien’s birthday.

O’Brien cruised his way through, even boasting after sampling the third wing, “I thought this show was called Hot Ones! You got nothing!”

Midway through the so-called Gauntlet of Death, Conan was still not fazed — even swigging directly from the hot sauce bottle to host Sean Evans‘ shock.

He did reach for a sip of milk after dominating Da Bomb, with a whopping Scoville heat score of 135,600, but soldiered on, soaking his last wing in a sauce made purely with hot peppers — and a Scoville score of more than 2.6 million. 

Conan screamed, “WHY CAN’T I FEEL!?” and even swigged that sauce from the bottle, too — although he eventually was left drooling as he ranted, chicken and spit flying everywhere.

CBS’ The Talk show will come to an end after its 15th season, ABC Audio has confirmed.

The network announced on Friday that it has renewed the show for a shortened season — what it calls a “celebratory sendoff” — that will wrap the show for good in December.

“The Talk broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format,” read a joint statement from Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios.

“Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe,” they continued.

“It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood,” along with the cast and crew.

Stapf and Reisenbach also saluted the former hosts of the show, which over the years included Julie Chen Moonves, Sara Gilbert, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson-Peete, Sharon Osbourne, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Eve, Aisha Tyler and Marie Osmond.

“For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves,” the executives concluded.

After Disney’s exhibition at the annual industry confab CinemaCon on Thursday, fans are buzzing about one of the details revealed during a sneak peek of the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. 

Along with footage of the anticipated film — and the first glimpses at Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross — comes a direct order to the new Cap, Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson. 

According to outlets at the event, Ford’s POTUS tells Sam, “I want Captain America to help rebuild the Avengers.”

Following the sneak peek, Entertainment Weekly dropped exclusive photos and an interview with the star, with Mackie offering the magazine that the movie feels “10 times bigger” than the last time he carried that spangly shield, on the small screen on Disney+.

“One of the biggest conversations we had from the beginning was for this not to be Falcon and the Winter Soldier Part 2, for this to be its own movie with its own story, with its own characters,” Mackie maintains.

He calls the movie “a clear reset” for Marvel, in the same way Captain America: The Winter Soldier was. That film, which just turned 10, often finds itself atop the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe library in film rankings.

Mackie teases, “From Captain America: The First Avenger to [Avengers] Endgame, the enemy was always good versus bad. Now that we’ve conquered that, where do we go from here? When the bad guys reappear, in what form are they reappearing?”

He says Brave New World “is a new storyline with new characters, with new beliefs, and it creates a new idea of this new world that we’re going into.”

The delayed movie now opens February 14, 2025.

Garcia left RHOSLC after she was outed as the creator of the troll Instagram account Reality Von Tease.

BravoCon
Sorry, Bravo fans. There will be no BravoCon this year. The network announced this week that the event is taking a pause in 2024 and will return to Las Vegas in 2025. The good news is fans will be getting a new event series called Watch Party by Bravo, starting this spring in NYC and LA. It’ll give fans the chance to enjoy advance screenings and exclusive sneak peeks of some of their favorite shows.

It was the moment Jersey Shore fans have been waiting for. Thursday night’s episode saw exes Ronnie and Sammi reuniting for the first time in years and it was … awkward. When Ronnie arrived to join the roommates in Nashville, Sammi opted not to greet him and everyone could feel the tension. “I wasn’t expecting anything,” Sammi later tells the group. “I feel nothing. You guys are working on friendships, I have no need to work on a friendship.”
