On the Tonight Show Thursday night, Jimmy Fallon announced that New York City’s Rockefeller Center, where he shoots his show, will soon showcase his nightmares.

On select nights starting Sept. 20 and running through Oct. 31, Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares will be a 10-room, horror-themed maze based on Fallon’s own “deepest, darkest nightmares,” he said on the show.

“I’m not saying it has killer scarecrows, brain-hungry zombies and an abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere. But … it has killer scarecrows, brain-hungry zombies and an abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere. Spoiler alert,” Fallon said in the announcement.

Its website, where you can sign up to get on a wait-list, promises “an unforgettable night of fright and thrills.”

It calls the attraction “Perfect for groups of friends and family seeking a truly unique adventure in New York” and “the ultimate labyrinth of fear you don’t want to miss.”

Tickets go on sale Aug. 22.

Fallon, who pointed out that he is a New York Times bestselling author, also announced a new book, Five More Sleeps ‘Til Halloween. “It is about a boy and his dog who are excited for Halloween, and can’t sleep,” he said. It comes out Sept. 3.

The official trailer for The Substance is here.

The highly anticipated feature stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid in a story about toxic beauty culture.

As previously reported, writer-director Coralie Fargeat‘s body horror film has Moore playing Elizabeth Sparkle, an aging Hollywood superstar so desperate to regain her looks that she signs up to inject herself with a mysterious serum that shares the title’s name.

“All it takes is one injection and she is reborn — temporarily — as the gorgeous, twentysomething Sue,” played by Qualley, according to the official synopsis.

However — of course — it turns out to be too good to be true.

In the trailer, we see Elizabeth transform into Sue. But things take a turn when Elizabeth is shown talking on the phone and says that “there’s been a slight misuse of The Substance.”

“Going into it, it was really spelled out, the level of vulnerability and rawness that was really required to tell this story,” Moore said about the film in May. “It was a very vulnerable experience and just required going into it with a sensitivity and a lot of conversation about what we were trying to accomplish, how we were going to approach it.”

Moore also called Qualley a “great partner” during the shooting of the film’s nude scenes.

“We were obviously close in certain moments — naked,” Moore said. “It allowed us also a lot of levity in those moments at how absurd those certain situations were … [b]ut ultimately, it’s just about … really direct and clear communication and mutual trust.”

The film, which received a 13-minute standing ovation at its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival in June, arrives in theaters on Sept. 20.

Dan and Eugene Levy, the father and son who co-created and starred in the hit comedy series Schitt’s Creek, have been tapped to host this year’s Emmy Awards.

The show will air live on ABC from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 15 starting at 8 p.m. It streams the next day on Hulu.

It will be the first time a father-son duo has hosted the event.

In a statement, the Emmy-winning pair said, “For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough.”

They added, “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”

Eugene played Johnny Rose and Dan played his spoiled, sarcastic son David on Schitt’s Creek, which swept the telecast in 2020, winning nine trophies for its sixth and final season. During that socially distanced event, the cast — including fellow winner Catherine O’Hara — celebrated breaking an Emmy record for most wins for a comedy show in a single season.

Television Academy Chairperson Cris Abrego enthused about the pairing, “We are thrilled to welcome two generations of comedy genius to the Emmy’s stage as hosts. Eugene and Dan Levy are known for creating unforgettable laugh-out-loud moments on screen, and together, they are super-charged. I cannot wait for Emmy fans to see what they have in store for all of us.”

Grant Ellis, a former pro basketball player from New Jersey, is the next star of The Bachelor, and he recently shared some goals for his upcoming journey with Bachelor Nation’s Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on the latest edition of their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

When asked what he’s looking for in a potential partner, he answered, “Obviously a beautiful woman, but I’m super open in this process, ’cause I know … just through life experience that sometimes the best things come in the most unexpected ways.”

Grant’s also put together a list of do’s and don’ts for his season, including, “Be sure of yourself and when you commit, you need to commit, and that’s something that I’m ready to do. There’s not gonna be any ‘I love yous’ and taking that back. When I see someone … and I feel like I’m ready, it’s gonna be a decision that I’m ready to make.”

As for what not to do, he says, “Don’t be insensitive.”

“Just be emotionally aware that these women are going through this experience also,” he continues. “So, even though I’m gonna have to disappoint some people, I’m gonna try to make it to where I’m understanding of them and assure them that, you know, even though I’m not your person, there’s somebody out there for you that is your person and you’re gonna learn from this experience.”

Grant says he had absolutely no reservations about becoming the new bachelor, saying, “When people can, you know, hand pick your potential partner for you based off of certain things and you get to sift through and see which woman is for you, which woman is not, I mean, who wouldn’t want to do that?”

A premiere date for The Bachelor season 29 has not been announced.

Breaking, bad: Peacock no longer streaming controversial new Summer Games entry

While Rachael Gunn aka Raygun‘s Olympics performance in the new Breakdancing category will likely live on in infamy in memes, you won’t be able to rewatch her on Peacock.

That’s because the streaming service that has been home to the Olympics is no longer home to recaps of the sport, which won’t be returning for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, while Gunn’s performance was widely mocked — primarily because it was free of most of the signature moves associated with the dance form that got its start in the South Bronx — she maintains, “I worked my butt off preparing for the Olympics.”

She continued on her Instagram, “While I went out there and I had fun, I did take it very seriously.”

“I really appreciate the positivity, and I’m glad I was able to bring some joy into your lives. That’s what I hoped,” Gunn expressed. “I didn’t realize that that would also open the door to so much hate, which has, frankly, been pretty devastating.”

Paramount+ just dropped the official trailer to the second season of Sylvester Stallone‘s hit Tulsa King

The footage, set to season 2 cameo star Jelly Roll‘s unreleased song “Get By,” picks up where the first season left off: Stallone’s Dwight has apparently beaten a potentially long jail sentence and is back making money moves.

“We’re building something that’s eventually gonna allow us to go legit,” he tells his crew.

The streaming service teases, “but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim.”

The Kansas City mob comes calling, in the form of Bill Bevilaqua, played by Marvel movie tough guy Frank Grillo. “You’re an outsider. Tulsa is mine,” he warns.

There’s also static from a powerful local businessman, Cal Thresher, played another veteran character actor — and Yellowstone heavy — Neal McDonough.

The producers tease, “Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.”

The show also stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, Domenick Lombardozzi, Andrea Savage, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

The sophomore season kicks off Sept. 15.

Five people — including two doctors — are now facing federal charges in connection with the 2023 ketamine death of Friends star Matthew Perry, ABC News has learned.

The five in question have been charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine, according to a federal source.

The indictment alleges that the two doctors were the initial sources of supply, but federal officials believe that at one point the drugs became too expensive and Perry switched to a new source, including a woman known as “The Ketamine Queen” of Los Angeles, according to the federal source.

Two of the suspects identified in the indictment are Jasveen Sangha, allegedly known as “The Ketamine Queen,” and Salvador Plasencia, a licensed medical doctor known as “Dr. P.”

Their arrests were made in an early morning operation Thursday, after a multiagency investigation.

The indictment alleges numerous interactions of sales from Plasencia to the co-conspirators. They allegedly used encrypted messaging and coded language referring to ketamine as “Dr. Pepper” to distribute their drugs, according to the indictment.

Perry died on Oct. 28, 2023, at the age of 54. He was discovered unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home, police said. An autopsy report revealed he died from the acute effects of ketamine.

Perry had high levels of ketamine in his blood, likely lapsed into unconsciousness and then went underwater, according to the autopsy report.

He was reported to have been receiving ketamine infusions for depression and anxiety, with the most recent therapy 1 1/2 weeks before his death. But the medical examiner wrote that the ketamine in his system at the time of death could not have been from that infusion therapy. His method of intake was listed in the report as unknown.

The autopsy report also listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors not related to the immediate cause of death. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

Lenny Kravitz’s daughter, actress Zoë Kravitz, is opening up about what it was like growing up with a famous rock star father.

In a new interview with Esquire, Zoë discusses the differences of living with her dad versus her mom, Lisa Bonet, when she was young, noting that Bonet was a much stricter parent.

“It was this whirlwind of a completely different universe,” she says of visiting her dad after her parents broke up, which was during the height of his fame. “And then I would go home to this really quiet, really simple life [with Bonet].”

By 11, Zoë had opted out of Bonet’s stricter household and moved in with her dad in Miami, which gave her lots of freedom — but that wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

“It wasn’t that my dad didn’t care, he just cared about different things,” she said. “Just like it happens in the movies, it’s like, ‘Oh, you think this is perfect? You think this is great? Guess what comes with this.’”

Zoë also says that when she was young she would often see her dad being taken advantage of by people around him, noting he had a hard time saying no.

“I can smell it out pretty quickly,” she says of her suspicions that people may take advantage of her dad. “I had to when I was a kid, because he didn’t. He’s really trusting, and it’s sweet, but I can tell exactly what someone wants.”
