Love is Blind (Netflix)
Amber and Matt Barnett, who found love on the first season of Love is Blind, are expecting their first child together. The pair made the announcement on The Love Seat podcast, hosted by fellow season 1 couple Lauren and Cameron Hamilton. “I sent myself back to school because I felt like we were in a place where I could do that. I had the support, and I was mentally there,” Amber said. “And then over summer break he just went and knocked me up.”

Dancing with the Stars (ABC)
Anna Delvey went viral when she remarked that she would take “nothing” away from her Dancing with the Stars experience after she was voted off the show. Now, her professional dance partner Ezra Sosa has tattooed the word “nothing” on his body. “im such an idiot,” he captioned his TikTok about the experience.

Deal or No Deal Island (NBC)
Reality TV fans, rejoice. Big Brother legend Will Kirby is returning to TV screens to compete on season 2 of Deal or No Deal Island. This marks his first time competing on a reality show in 20 years. “My kids are 11 and 14, and they’ve never seen me on a competition reality show,” Kirby told People. “My daughter in particular, we watched Deal or No Deal Island season 1. I won’t tell you what it was, but she said, ‘It would be really, really funny if you did this on that show.’ And I said, ‘You know what, sweetheart? I’m going to do that.’ And I did it. I think she’s going to watch it and love it, and it’s going to be hilarious.”

Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong on the Donald Trump biopic ‘The Apprentice’

Sebastian Stan is a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice, in theaters Friday.

The film follows Trump’s journey to become the man we know him as today, through his beginnings as the protégé to cutthroat attorney Roy Cohn, played by Jeremy Strong.

Stan told ABC Audio he researched the period in which Trump is not as well remembered to “try to kind of piece together what happened,” including the former president’s stint at military school and his early relationship with his father.

“You’re putting a puzzle together and you’re hopefully trying to do it in a way that people don’t expect or haven’t seen,” Stan said. “That meant looking at all of the things that we know so far and getting them aside to get to the truth.”

In order to play Cohn, Strong said he approached it like he approaches every job.

“This is probably a controversial statement, but I don’t see him as a villain,” Strong said. “I don’t really see anyone as a hero or a villain. I think that that’s a false dichotomy. He’s certainly complex, but I approach him the same way I approach any character I’ve ever played, and I’ve played people who people think are despicable and I’ve played people who people think are, you know, wonderful.”

With the presidential election looming, Stan says The Apprentice is worth watching.

“Coming at this from a human place and truly asking ourselves, ‘How do I instinctively feel about this person? Is this someone I trust? Is this someone I believe? Does it even matter?’ You know, I think there’s value in that, and there’s a lot at stake. And if we value truth and truly freedom, not convenient freedom, not selective freedom, then, yeah, I think it’s worth watching.”

Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is teasing what to expect during the popular series’ upcoming fourth season.

In an interview Wednesday with Good Morning America at the 2024 Time 100 Next Gala in New York City, Coughlan, who portrays Penelope Featherington in the Regency era-inspired show, said her character is now “happily married” to Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

“It’s very fun to be playing like a happily married person with a very cute baby,” she said. “It feels like they went through all their strife last time.”

“So they get to come back and just be in love and have the best time together,” she added.

The show, which focuses on specific Bridgerton characters’ storylines each season, followed Colin and Penelope’s friends-to-lovers romance in season 3. The third season also exposed Penelope’s secret identity as Lady Whistledown, the anonymous writer who details the gossip of the ton in a pamphlet, and how that exposed secret played out in her relationship with Colin.

Next season, the storyline of Colin’s brother Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) will be explored. In September, it was revealed that his love interest, Sophie Baek, will be portrayed by Yerin Ha.

Coughlan didn’t reveal much about what to expect, but said that Thompson and Ha are “hard at work being our leads this time.”

“They’re doing an amazing, amazing job,” she said.

Coughlan added that she admires the series for focusing on a wide range of love stories, including an upcoming queer storyline with Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza) that was hinted at last season.

“I love Bridgerton because it’s a show that tells all different types of love stories,” she said. “So everyone should feel represented in it.”

The hit series Nobody Wants This is getting a second season.

Netflix announced Thursday that the romantic comedy about a podcast host named Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody), an unconventional rabbi, will continue next year.

The series, which was created by executive producer Erin Foster and debuted on the streaming platform in September, followed Joanne and Noah’s unexpected relationship as they navigated their differing outlooks on life, as well as their “well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families,” according to a synopsis.

The show became an instant hit for its realistic and charming take on modern dating.

In a statement shared in a press release from Netflix about season 2 of Nobody Wants This, Foster said working on the show will “forever be a career highlight for me.”

“The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed,” she said. “I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls. … Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”

The series also stars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Sherry Cola and Tovah Feldshuh.

Nobody Wants This season 2 is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2025, according to the streaming platform.

William Shatner introduces Julien’s Auctions’ “Bid Long and Prosper” event

William Shatner, the man who is synonymous with Star Trek, appears in a new video from Julien’s Auctions to promote its forthcoming “Bid Long and Prosper” event.

The spot has Shatner reunited with the very Trek communicator he held as Capt. James T. Kirk on the show 60 years ago. The prop — which, the spot specifies, does not produce its iconic “chirp” as heard in the promo — will be one of more than 200 items from the groundbreaking sci-fi franchise in the auction on Nov. 9.

The piece is expected to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000 — but as in nearly every case, screen-used props often sell for much more than the estimates.

Also up for grabs is Kirk’s screen-used phaser prop, expected to sell in that same price range.

Other items that were close to Shatner, literally, include the Starfleet uniform he wore, with an estimated price of $65,000 to $85,000.

The actor, author and real-life space traveler says, “When I did my three-year stint on Star Trek, each year we were in jeopardy of not being renewed.” The fact that the show ignited a “phenomenon,” Shatner says, “Nobody could have anticipated that.”

The navigation console from the Enterprise is also hitting the block, and you can be sure it will go for more than the $50,000 to $70,000 estimation.

Shatner also reminisced about his real-life trip off-planet in 2022, aboard a Blue Origins rocket, and spoke of the “passion” Star Trek stoked in people to pursue careers in aeronautics and engineering. Shatner enthused, “My gosh! That’s incredible!”

‘Variety’ writers rank the scariest movies of all time

Just in time for Halloween, Variety‘s resident critics have come up with their definitive ranking of the 100 scariest movies of all time.

1974’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre slayed the competition at #1.

The long list shares some titles with some of the experts’ greatest films of all time, like Alfred Hitchcock‘s Psycho (#3), but also movies that would never rank among the greatest ever, like 1991’s Dead Alive (Braindead) at #95 and The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) at #92.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was hailed for creating “a mythology of horror, one that feels even more resonant today than it did 50 years ago.”

1973’s The Exorcist placed second on the list, with the critics saying of the film, “Half a century later, [director William] Friedkin‘s … classic remains so compelling because everyone involved commits to the realism of demonic possession.”

Psycho was hailed as “iconic,” adding “Anthony Perkins‘ performance channels a cunning and terror for the ages.”

Fourth place went to Steven Spielberg‘s 1975 classic Jaws, with the critics declaring that while many movies can give you scares, “few have so fundamentally altered human behavior the way Jaws did, compelling millions to steer clear of the water.”

Rounding out the top five was Roman Polanski‘s 1968 offering Rosemary’s Baby, a film that “generates such supreme paranoia and suspense that it stands as one of the last great pieces of classical movie-making to emerge from the New Hollywood.”

Andrew Garfield talks onscreen chemistry with Florence Pugh in ‘We Live in Time’

Andrew Garfield is opening up about his onscreen chemistry with Florence Pugh on their new film We Live in Time.

The Amazing Spider-Man actor praised the Black Widow actress for being “so un-judgmental” while filming the movie in an interview with Good Morning America that aired Thursday.

“Safe is the word,” Garfield said of working with Pugh. “Safe and trusting, and ‘cultivating’ is a great word, too, because it takes work. It’s not something that you can just leave to the gods. I think you have to really intentionally make sure these two have to be really safe with each other — safe to fail, safe to look foolish and safe to have all of your nooks and crannies seen in all the ways, and it was cultivated.”

He added, “I understood very, very quickly within rehearsals, and maybe the first few days of filming, that I was very, very safe with Florence.”

The John Crowley-directed film tells the story of two strangers, Garfield’s Tobias and Pugh’s Almut, who are brought together by chance.

Garfield said the movie — billed as a “decade-spanning, deeply moving romance” — seemed “to be very much in line with the things I was ruminating on and considering in my life.”

Those things included “love, partnership, connection, loss, risk, meaning, courage, sorrow, grief [and] joy.”

“You can only go as high as you go deep,” Garfield said. “And the script just kind of felt like the inside of my heart and my brain.”

We Live in Time arrives in theaters Friday.

‘Golden Bachelorette’ recap: Chippendales dancers teach the men some moves

‘Golden Bachelorette’ recap: Chippendales dancers teach the men some moves
Gilles Mingasson/Disney

After a challenging week, things heated up on The Golden Bachelorette.

Joan Vassos had a hilarious group date that allowed some of the men to show off their moves while she also began to grow her connections with others.

“I solidified some connections with some of the guys and I get more and more hopeful every week,” she said.

Jonathan, Pascal, Dan, Charles L., Gary, Mark, Gil, Chock and Keith were chosen for the group date and were given a lesson by some of the original Chippendale members on how to body roll and more.

They each then took the stage to show off their moves for Vassos and to raise money for Stand Up to Cancer, an organization that fights cancer through collaborative research and fair access to care.

After their performance, each of the men got some time with Vassos, including Chock, whose connection with her has grown since their one-on-one date at Disneyland. At the end of their date, Vassos gave Chock the group date rose because she said she continues “to see a future” with him.

Following the group date, Chock received the heartbreaking news at home that his mother died and decided to leave the mansion to be with his family.

After Chock departed the mansion, Vassos set out on her date with Jordan. The duo went ice skating and Jordan got a rose at the end of their date.

On her one-on-one date with Guy, Vassos opted to get to know him more over cooking lemon baked ziti at her house. After their date, Vassos gave him a rose and said she can picture Guy in her life.

Prior to the rose ceremony, Vassos had one-on-one time with each of the men. And while she shared meaningful moments with all of them, she was over the moon when Chock returned to the mansion.

Chock told Vassos that he was “crazy” about her and “had to come back” to see her.

At the end of the night, Vassos said goodbye to Charles L., Gary, Dan and Gil. Here are the men that remain:

Chock, 60, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas
Guy, 66, an ER doctor from Reno, Nevada
Jordan, 61, a sales manager from Chicago, Illinois
Pascal, 69, a salon owner from Chicago, Illinois
Jonathan, 61, a shipping consultant from Oakland, Iowa
Mark, 67, an army veteran from Leesville, Louisiana
Keith, 62, a girl dad from San Jose, California
