Renée Zellweger is back for one more hilarious and romantic adventure in the official trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, directed by Michael Morris.

The clip, which debuted online Tuesday and is set to “These Words” by Natasha Bedingfield, features the Oscar winner reprising the most iconic role of her career, one she played in 2001 and brought back in sequels released in 2004 and 2016.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy finds the titular character’s happily ever after cut short after husband Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) is killed on a humanitarian mission in Sudan.

“In life, there are memories that will never leave us,” Zellweger says in one of her iconic voice-overs. “But sometimes, those memories are suddenly … all we’re left with.”

Bridget, now a single mother to her 9-year-old son, Billy, and 4-year-old daughter, Mabel, leans on her friends — and her former lover, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) — as she attempts to move on from the tragedy years later and put herself back out there in the modern age of dating.

“Bridget, you’re a widow with two wonderful children. My advice to you is put your own oxygen mask on first,” Bridget’s gynecologist Dr. Rawlings (Emma Thompson) says.

Daniel even teases, “You’re effectively a nun. A very, very naughty nun.”

It wouldn’t be a rom-com without multiple love interests, and this movie is no different. Bridget finds herself pursued by a hunky younger man, Roxster (White Lotus actor Leo Woodall), and having a series of awkward run-ins with her son’s science teacher, Mr. Wallaker (12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor), all while balancing career, family, romance and loss.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in theaters internationally and stream on Peacock in the United States on Feb. 13.

If you’ve ever wanted to be Batman — or, more accurately, his deep-pocketed alter ego Bruce Wayne — here’s your chance. 

To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Caped Crusader, Warner Bros. is selling 10 authentic Tumblers — that is, the tank-like Batmobile model as driven by Christian Bale‘s Batman, for the price of $2.9 million a pop. 

The vehicles are accurate in nearly every way to the ones seen in Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight trilogy, except the jet exhaust and machine guns are for show only.

The very limited-edition vehicles are made from Kevlar, carbon fiber, and sheet metal and fiberglass, and feature tubular aeronautical steel frames, 4-wheel power disc brakes, and a 6.2 liter LS3 525 HP Engine boasting 486 foot pounds of torque. 

And while some of the bells and whistles are for the big screen, the roar of the engine, as seen in the movies, is very much real.

The 5,511-pound, 9-foot-wide beasts aren’t street legal.

That said, it’s pretty safe to assume that unless you’re “pancaking cop cars” as seen in the movies, most cops would probably give you a request for a selfie, not a ticket.

(SPOILERS) Fans really wanted to see what happened to Kevin Costner‘s John Dutton: The Sunday return of Yellowstone scored the best-ever season debut for the Paramount Network drama, ABC Audio has confirmed.

According to data from VideoAmp provided by Paramount Network, the first episode of season 5’s back half scored some 16.4 million viewers across both cable and its sister network CBS.

By comparison, the previous high-water mark for Taylor Sheridan‘s neo-Western was the season 5 premiere in November 2022, which was seen by 8.8 million viewers on Paramount Network and 10.3 million viewers across all platforms, according to the trade. 

For the record, Costner said he only learned what became of his John Dutton the morning after the show premiered, telling The Michael Smerconish Program, “I mean, I’ve been seeing ads with my face all over the place and I’m thinking, ‘Gee … I’m not in this season.'”

He added with a laugh of the character’s demise, “Doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it.”

That said, he added of the show’s producers, “They’re pretty smart people. … They’re very good. And they’ll figure that out.”

He also reiterated the shooting of his Horizon movies didn’t interrupt the shooting of Yellowstone, as was alleged. “There was room, but it was difficult for them to keep their schedule.”

“I didn’t leave. I didn’t quit,” Costner insisted. 

The debut episode brings to a head just how far John’s adopted son, Jamie, played by Wes Bentley, was willing to go to bring his dad down. 

Bentley tells ABC Audio his journey with the scheming character has been “wild and unexpected.”

He teases the fans, “I always think I know where it’s going. I think I know something about Jamie, and then I get surprised.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wasn’t holding back in a GQ Man of the Year cover story interview, which addresses some reports of seemingly odd behavior on the set of his upcoming holiday movie, Red One. 

Evidently, that includes him not holding back on set, either: “I pee in a bottle,” he confirmed to the magazine, regarding a report from The Wrap that alleged the superstar sometimes takes his bathroom breaks on the go on set. 

“I’ve said a thousand times: ‘Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth,'” Johnson maintains. 

Of The Wrap’s allegation that he was habitually late to the Red One set, ballooning the budget in the process, Dwayne called that ridiculous.

He adds, “[Being late] happens, too. But not that amount, by the way. That was a bananas amount.”

For one, the movie’s director, Jake Kasdan, backs him up, saying Johnson “never missed a day of work ever. … He can be late sometimes, but such is Hollywood — that’s the case with everybody.”

The filmmaker continues, “Honestly, I’ve made three big movies with him. I’ve never seen him be anything but great to every single person on the set.”

Johnson’s Red One co-star Chris Evans agrees, saying Johnson’s alleged tardiness was mostly due to his morning workout regimen — and it was already baked into his schedule. “He comes in slightly later on certain mornings, but it’s part of the plan. It’s worked into the schedules and everyone knows it, so he shows up when he’s scheduled to show up.”

Moreover, Evans singled out Johnson’s generosity toward the crew, routinely pouring tens of thousands of dollars into a weekly raffle. “I think on one Friday, Dwayne gave away something like close to a hundred thousand dollars,” Evans maintains.

He’s one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, but two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington is thinking about retirement — and reveals he’ll be in one of Marvel’s biggest franchises before he calls it a career. 

To Australia’s Today program, the star of the upcoming Gladiator II revealed Ryan Coogler is writing a role for him in the third Black Panther film — and that project will be one of his final acting jobs.

“For me it’s about the filmmakers,” Denzel says. “Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best. I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make.” He adds, “It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.”

Washington mentioned how he got his start — performing Shakespeare — and how he’ll be revisiting The Bard on Broadway opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in 2025.

“I played Othello at 22. I am about to play Othello at 70. After that, I am playing Hannibal [for Netflix]. After that, I’ve been talking to Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther. After that, I’m going to do the film Othello. After that, I’m going to do King Lear. After that, I’m going to retire.”

Incidentally, it was the original Black Panther‘s star, the late Chadwick Boseman, who once praised his British Academy of Acting program patron Washington by saying, “There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington.”

“Imagine receiving a letter that your tuition … was paid for by the dopest actor on the planet,” Boseman said at an AFI Tribute to Washington that took place a little more than a year before Boseman’s untimely death from cancer in 2020.

Marvel has released the trailer for the third and final season of its acclaimed animated series What If …? Guided by The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright, the series features a voice cast that includes a host of stars reprising their iconic Marvel characters, who “make unexpected choices that will mutate their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the MCU,” per Disney+. Netflix has announced that America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will return for season 2 sometime in 2025. The high-kicking ladies shared the news in a video released on Nov. 11 as only they can — with a cheer. Season 2 “will chronicle the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders from nerve-wracking auditions and grueling training camp all the way through the high-energy NFL 2024–25 season,” per the streaming service …

TV Line reports that NCIS: Sydney, which was renewed for a second season in March, will take over CBS’ 8 p.m. Friday time slot after Blue Bloods comes to an end around mid-December. That means the second season of NCIS: Sydney won’t debut until early 2025 at the earliest. The Australian procedural follows “a brilliant and eclectic team of U.S. NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) … grafted into a multi-national taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet,” according to CBS …

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger announced the arrival of their third child together on Monday.

“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt,” the couple wrote in a joint statement posted to Instagram.

“Mama and baby are doing well and Ford’s siblings are thrilled by his arrival,” the statement continued. “We are so blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine and Chris.”

Pratt and Schwarzenegger also noted that Ford’s birthday was Nov. 8.

The couple, who married in June 2019, are also parents to daughters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 2.

Pratt also shares son Jack, 12, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.

The Parks and Recreation alum and Schwarzenegger recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, sharing heartfelt messages to each other on social media.

Jeff Goldblum, who famously played mathematician and chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm in several Jurassic Park movies, will be passing the torch to Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey, who will play paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis in the franchise’s upcoming seventh film, Jurassic World: Rebirth — and Goldblum couldn’t be happier.

Goldblum tells Variety, “The hope of the world resides, and I can think of no better baton receiver to carry on the ‘da da da da da,’” referencing John Williams‘ classic Jurassic Park theme. “It’s Jonathan Bailey! It’s like no other!”

“I had the invitation to join the ‘Jurassic’ world, to join the conga line led by Jeff,” adds Bailey, sharing that he and Goldblum discussed the role on the way to CinemaCon earlier this year. “The original film was a seminal cinematic moment, purely because of Jeff, but also, I went with my family, and the multi-sensory experience of going to see a film so perfectly realized.”

“There’s so much that I am so proud to join. But obviously … there is a sense of responsibility,” says Bailey. “And if I can match half of what Jeff and Sam Neill and Laura Dern achieved, I’ll be very lucky.”

Jurassic World: Rebirth takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, per Universal Pictures. “The planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.”

However, “The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.”

Bailey stars opposite Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Homeland alum Rupert Friend and The Lincoln Lawyer‘s Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

Paul Mescal will be making his New York stage debut.

The London revival of Tennessee Williams‘ A Streetcar Named Desire, starring Mescal, Patsy Ferran and Anjana Vasan, is making the transfer across the pond to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York.

Its limited engagement off-Broadway run starts on Feb. 28 and will continue through April 6. Rebecca Frecknall directs the production, which will play at BAM’s Harvey Theater after a return engagement in London that starts on Feb. 3.

The London run was acclaimed, with several Olivier Award wins, including Mescal for Best Actor, Vasan for Supporting Actress and the production-winning Best Revival. Ferran also won a London’s Critics Circle Award for her performance.

Some people would metaphorically give their teeth to launch a hit TV show, but for Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, it was literal. 

He clarified to the BBC that he was under so much stress making the original series, which became a global phenomenon, that he lost “eight or nine” teeth. He’d previously said six of his teeth fell out. 

In preparation for the anticipated follow-up to the show, which is due on Netflix on Dec. 25, Hwang said, “The stress I feel now is much greater,” adding of his chompers that he’ll “probably have to pull out a few more very soon.”

That said, the Emmy-winning show’s creator said much like his show’s contestants, he pursued a second season for the jackpot. 

“Even though the first series was such a huge global success, honestly I didn’t make much,” he tells the outlet. “So doing the second series will help compensate me for the success of the first one too.”

That said, he explained he “didn’t fully finish the story” of the first season’s winner, Lee Jung-jae‘s Seong Gi-hun aka Player 456. For the forthcoming go-round, Gi-hun takes on the life-or-death game once again, with vengeance on his mind for the people behind it.
