Here’s one for the terminally online — Funko Pop has announced it’s releasing a figure of Marcello Hernández‘s viral Saturday Night Live character Domingo.
“He came all this way, so give a warm welcome to POP! Domingo,” the item’s description reads. “This suave charmer is sure to form a strong connection with your collection! Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Saturday Night Live by making this comical character the next addition to your SNL lineup!”
The character made his SNL debut on season 50’s Oct. 12 episode hosted by Ariana Grande. In the sketch “Bridesmaid Speech,” a group of bridesmaids sing about their wild bachelorette trip to the tune of Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Espresso.” Throughout the song, it’s revealed that the bride cheated on her husband with a man named Domingo.
Domingo then appears to sing his own verse. “Hey Matt, came all this way/ Had to explain, direct from Domingo/ Kelsey’s a friend/ She’s like my sis/ But we did hook up though,” Hernandez sang.
SNL‘s video of the sketch has over 13 million views on YouTube, with 15 million additional views on TikTok. It became a viral sensation, with Hernández even making an appearance at one of Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet concerts in costume as Domingo.
“Came all this way/ Had to explain/ Direct from Domingo/ Sabrina’s a friend/ She’s like my sis/ But I would hook up though,” he sang before Carpenter performed her hit “Juno.”

Denzel Washington, Nicole Kidman and Ariana Grande are among the stars reacting to their 2025 Golden Globes nominations.
Washington detailed his experience filming Gladiator II — the film that earned him his 11th nomination, the most of any Black performer at the Golden Globes — after being nominated in the best performance by a male actor in a supporting role in any motion picture category.
“Before I even worked with Sir Ridley Scott, I was a fan of his movies and his talent,” Washington said in a statement. “The sheer size of this particular production and the incredible cast of actors and crew he assembled, not to mention what he literally built of ancient Rome, humbles me – it humbled me every day on set. And giving me Macrinus – to embody, to enjoy, to create – what an incredible honor this is, and has been.”
Kidman shared a statement reacting to her nomination for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture (drama) for her work in Babygirl.
“Wow!!!! Thank you to the members of The Golden Globes. I am so grateful to be included on this extraordinary list of nominees and to Halina Reijn for trusting me with the role of Romy,” she said. “I share this with Harris, Antonio, Sophie and the entire cast of BABYGIRL.”
Grande shared a reaction to her nomination for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for her role in Wicked to her Instagram Story.
“oh my goodness oh my goodness… i am floored and honored to be recognized by members of the @goldenglobes. crying (of course) … It’s impossible to find my words, but I am simply, so deeply grateful for this acknowledgement,” she wrote. “i can’t possibly express my gratitution.”
Hugh Grant shared a statement reacting to his nomination for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture (musical or comedy) for his role in Heretic.
“I feel like a gate crasher. But a very warmly received one,” he said. “Massive thanks to the Golden Globes and to Scott Beck and Bryan Woods for spotting my need to kill, and to A24 for sponsoring it.”
Emilia Pérez earned the most nominations on the film side, with 10 nods. The Brutalist followed closely behind with seven nods and Conclave with six nods.
On the TV side, The Bear cooked up five nominations, the most of any show, while Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun scored four noms apiece.
The best motion picture nods went to The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Nickel Boys and September 5 for dramas, while Anora, Challengers, Emilia Pérez, A Real Pain, The Substance and Wicked were nominated for comedies and musicals.
Nominations for the 82nd annual Golden Globes were announced by Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut on Monday, Dec. 9, at 8:15 a.m. ET via a press conference.
The 2025 Golden Globes will take place Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, airing live on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.

Moana 2 led the box office once again this weekend, following its record-breaking Thanksgiving weekend debut. The Disney animated sequel brought in $52 million in its second week of release, bringing its domestic total to $300 million.
Coming in second place was Wicked: Part 1, with $34.9 million, followed by Gladiator II with $12.5 million.
This week’s new release, the horror comedy Y2K, was no match for that powerhouse box office trio, failing to crack the top five with just $2.1 million. Kyle Mooney’s directorial debut, starring Rachel Zegler and Jaeden Martell, imagines what would happen if New Year’s Eve 1999 went horribly wrong.

Keira Knightley recently reflected on one of the most iconic scenes from Love Actually and shared why she felt there was a “creep factor” attached.
During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, published Friday, Knightley, who starred in the classic 2003 romantic comedy when she was 17, spoke about the cue card scene that she shared with actor Andrew Lincoln.
In the film, Knightley’s Juliet, a newlywed who marries Peter (Chiwetel Ejiofor) at the start of the film, opens the door of her home to see Peter’s friend Mark (Lincoln), who goes on to profess his love for her through cue cards.
“The slightly stalkerish aspect of it — I do remember that,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “My memory is of [director] Richard [Curtis], who is now a very dear friend, of me doing the scene, and him going, ‘No, you’re looking at [Lincoln] like he’s creepy,’ and I’m like [in a dramatic whisper], ‘But it is quite creepy.’ And then having to redo it to fix my face to make him seem not creepy.”
When asked if she felt there was a “creep factor” attached to the scene, Knightley shared, “I mean, there was a creep factor at the time, right? Also, I knew I was 17. It only seems like a few years ago that everybody else realized I was 17.”
While Knightley says the scene was awkward for her at the time, she talked about how the film has become a beloved movie over the years. She also said she doesn’t watch the films she’s in.
“Most of my films I have either never seen or I have only seen once,” she said. “So it’s nothing against Love Actually.”
While in conversation at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival on behalf of the hit film Wicked on Friday, Erivo spoke about Grande’s past complaints about being cyberbullied for her appearance.
“I think cyber bullying is quite dangerous to be honest because it’s easy to be behind the computer and type words about a person you don’t know anything about,” Erivo said. “I think that the more we can protect ourselves from that the better … the best way to support someone who is going through that is really to be a counterpoint to whatever is coming at that person – be the voice that is positive.”
Erivo also spoke about the bond she created with Grande in order for them to play Elphaba and Glinda in the musical film.
“We didn’t audition together. We met after the roles, and we spent time together before we started rehearsals,” Erivo said. “We decided that we were going to make sure we protected each other, that we were kind to one another, that we were going to work with each other and build a relationship which meant that when we were on set, we both felt really safe to play and to do the roles as we needed.”
A reboot of the early 2000’s medical comedy is being developed by show creator Bill Lawrence for ABC and 20th Television, Good Morning America has learned.
Scrubs, in its original airing, featured the story of the medical staff of Sacred Heart Hospital — including interns, doctors and other employees — from the point of view of main character, J.D. Dorian, played by Zach Braff.
Alongside Braff, Scrubs starred Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn and more.
The show aired on NBC for seven seasons and on ABC for two more. It was honored with a Peabody Award in 2006.
In October, Lawrence told Deadline that his vision for the reboot would see the show revisit the established characters 15 years later — with some of the original cast in talks to return — and introduce new “super-idealistic” interns as well. He noted, “I think that … it would be a giant mistake not to do as a combo of those two things.”
Along with his work on Scrubs, Lawrence has also co-created hit shows like Ted Lasso and Shrinking.

The A24 release, which arrives in theaters on Friday, is Mooney’s directorial debut. He told ABC Audio the actual Y2K was kind of a letdown, but he “was sort of kind of minorly obsessed with it.”
The phenomenon “always was in the back of my head,” Mooney said. “One day, New Year’s Day 2019, I had the small seed of an idea of this movie about teenagers who go to a high school party and Y2K actually happens.”
From that seed of an idea the film was born. Mooney wrote it with his collaborator Evan Winter, who was just as excited as he was to bring their adolescence to the big screen.
“I think the premise of our movie feels like such a sort of obvious idea. It’s sort of surprising that nobody’s done this. Nobody’s explored Y2K and that sort of alternate history where things do go bad,” Mooney said. “There’s not a ton of stuff where you get to see 1999, 2000 era in the movies. So it was fun for us to relive that.”
Did this disaster comedy come from Mooney’s actual real-life fears about what would happen on Y2K? Perhaps subconsciously, he said.
“My mom, I remember she was a little fearful. She bought a bunch of jugs of water and some Kudos bars and stuffed them in the pantry just in case anything awful went down,” Mooney said. He imagined “maybe the supermarkets would be closed for a day or something like that.”
“And then when nothing happened, it was like kind of life goes on,” Mooney said. “I was probably just trying to, you know, instant message my crush or whatever.”
