Hacks star Jean Smart is calling on TV networks to reconsider airing any upcoming awards shows in light of the Los Angeles wildfires.

“ATTENTION!” Smart wrote in an Instagram post. “With ALL due respect, during Hollywood’s season of celebration, I hope any of the networks televising the upcoming awards will seriously consider NOT televising them and donating the revenue they would have garnered to the victims of the fires and the firefighters.”

The Critics Choice Awards have already been postponed from Jan. 12 to Jan. 26 due to the fires, while Oscar nominations have been delayed from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19.

Numerous Hollywood productions have been halted – including Smart’s TV show Hacks – as multiple fires continue to burn in the Los Angeles area. Thousands have been forced to evacuate and at least five people have died.

Jamie Lee Curtis has pledged $1 million to help those affected by the wildfires raging in Southern California.

Curtis appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, where she spoke about the ongoing devastating fires affecting the Los Angeles area.

“As you know, where I live is on fire right now. The entire city of Pacific Palisades is burning. I flew here last night, I was on the plane, started getting texts and it’s f****** gnarly, you guys. It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California,” Curtis said. “Everything: the market I shop in, the schools my kids go to. Many, many, many friends now have lost their homes. So it’s a really awful situation.”

On Thursday, Curtis took to Instagram to share that she and her husband, Christopher Guest, are donating $1 million to the relief efforts in the city.

“As the fire still rages on and @calfire @losangelesfiredepartment and all the available first responders and agencies involved in fighting fire and saving lives are still hard at work and neighbors and friends are banding together to save each other, my husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million from our Family Foundation to start a fund of support for our great city and state and the great people who live and love there,” Curtis wrote.

She said she’s been in contact “with Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass and Senator Schiff as to where those funds need to be directed for the most impact.”

During her appearance on Fallon on Wednesday, Curtis said she planned to fly back to LA Thursday morning to help her family and friends in the city. She then urged viewers to do anything they can to help the situation.

“Do anything you can. Anything in your community to help people,” Curtis said. “Give blood, donate, whatever you can do, animal shelters.”

As multiple wildfires burn through Los Angeles County, some celebrities are posting about the impact of the fires and showcasing the fire damage throughout LA County, home to nearly 10 million people.

Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes and flee for their lives as the Santa Ana winds further exacerbate the situation.

Actor Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, lost their Pacific Palisades home in the blaze, according to a statement shared with ABC News.

“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing,” Crystal said in the statement. “We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”

Paris Hilton‘s representative told ABC News that her home was among those destroyed amid the wildfires.

“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton posted to Instagram Wednesday.

Other celebrities who have posted about losing their homes include Mandy Moore, The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, and General Hospital actor Cameron Mathison.

The deadly wildfires that continue to rage in Los Angeles County are disrupting scheduled awards season events and the filming of several TV shows.

ABC suspended production on the shows Grey’s Anatomy and Doctor Odyssey, and canceled Wednesday’s taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it confirmed to ABC Audio.

ABC Audio also confirmed that production on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, was closed on Wednesday because of the fires. This halted production on Abbott Elementary, as well as All American and The Pitt. It also stopped production on the multicamera sitcom Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Additionally, the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, which were originally scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 12, have been postponed to Jan. 26 “due to the catastrophic fires ravaging Southern California,” according to a press release.

“This unfolding tragedy has already had a profound impact on our community. All our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and with all who have been affected,” Critics Choice Awards CEO Joey Berlin said.

BAFTA has also canceled its Tea Party, a key event during awards season. The event was scheduled for Saturday at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

“In light of the dangerous winds and wildfires in Los Angeles, we are cancelling this weekend’s BAFTA Tea Party. The safety of our colleagues, friends and peers in Los Angeles remains our utmost priority and our thoughts are with everyone impacted,” BAFTA shared in a statement to the press.

The trailer for season 3 of Reacher has arrived.

Additionally, the first three episodes of the thriller series will drop on Prime Video on Feb. 20.

In the third season of the action series, “Reacher (Alan Ritchson) hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past,” according to the show’s logline.

“I’ve figured out why you do what you do. Cause you hate the big, the powerful who think they can get away with things. So you make sure they don’t,” Maria Sten‘s Frances Neagley says in the trailer.

“You just figured that out?” Ritchson’s Reacher responds.

Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Olivier Richters and Daniel David Stewart join the show’s cast for season 3. New episodes premiere each Thursday through March 27, only on Prime Video.

Nominations for the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards are here.

Actors Joey King and Cooper Koch were initially set to announce this year’s SAG Awards nominees Wednesday morning during a press conference, which was set to stream on Netflix’s YouTube channel, but that event was canceled due to the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.

Nominations were instead announced via press release on the SAG Awards’ website.

Wicked was the most-nominated film this year with five nominations, earning nods for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture and acting nominations for stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey.

A Complete Unknown followed close behind with four nods, while Emilia Pérez and Anora snagged three noms each.

On the television side, Shōgun was the most-nominated series of the year with five nominations, earning nods for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a television series and acting nominations for stars Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai.

The Bear and The Diplomat followed close behind with four noms and three noms, respectively.

There are 20 first-time actor nominees this year, including Grande, Pamela Anderson, Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Nicola Coughlan, Harrison Ford, Karla Sofía Gascón, Demi Moore and Zoe Saldaña.

Bell is set to host the 31st annual awards ceremony, which will see Jane Fonda receive the SAG Life Achievement Award, the highest honor from SAG-AFTRA.

The ceremony will stream live globally on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Pamela Anderson says her latest role in the Gia Coppola-directed film The Last Showgirl is close to her heart and one she’s “really proud of.”

During an interview with Good Morning America, the actress said the script by Kate Gersten had many parallels with her own life, so she felt confident she could take on the role from the beginning.

“There’s lots that I identified with,” Anderson told GMA about her connection to her character, Shelly, a seasoned showgirl forced to find her next act after the Las Vegas revue she’s headlined for decades announces its final show.

“I’d never received a script like this,” she explained. “It had so many beautiful characters, so fully written and a great story and just the glamor. I couldn’t wait to get started.”

Anderson’s co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays a former showgirl turned bevertainer, echoed the praise for the storyline, telling GMA the film is about “resilience, particularly, the resilience of women.”

Reflecting on her mindset ahead of officially landing the role, Anderson shared, “I couldn’t believe I was going to get this opportunity. So I just thought, if I never do anything else, I’m going to make sure I apply myself and throw everything at this that I know and have learned.”

“It was just for me,” she said. “I got to do something that I’m really proud of.”

Anderson is already receiving praise for the film, which was shot in 18 days, from both critics and audiences alike. She earned a Golden Globe nomination for best actress in a motion picture drama in December.

The Last Showgirl arrives in theaters on Jan. 10.

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill is among the Malibu residents who have had to evacuate the raging Los Angeles wildfires.

The actor revealed on Instagram Tuesday that he and his family fled their home.

“7pm-Evacuated Malibu so last-minute there [were] small fires on both sides of the road as we approached PCH [Pacific Coast Highway],” Hamill posted.

He added that he, his wife and their dog later arrived safely at their daughter’s house. “Most horrific fire since ‘93,” he wrote. “STAY SAFE!”

Actor James Woods documented the spread of the Palisades Fire into homes in the hills around Los Angeles on Tuesday, writing in posts to social platform X that “all the smoke detectors are going off in our house” as the blaze approached.

“It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say,” he wrote.

Other celebrities gave updates on the fires as well, including Mandy Moore, who evacuated her home, and The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who shared on social media that their house had burned down.

More than 30,000 people were told to evacuate in Southern California on Tuesday after a fast-moving brush fire erupted in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood near Los Angeles. The fire has burned more than 2,900 acres.

By early Wednesday morning, the Eaton Fire — which broke out miles away from the Palisades Fire, in Altadena, California, prompting immediate evacuations — had spread 1,000 acres.

The Hurst Fire, meanwhile, erupted and spread northeast of San Fernando, California, burning at least 500 acres.

Extreme winds have made the fires difficult to contain, fire officials said.

Oh, lordy. Jacob Elordi is in talks to replace Paul Mescal in Ridley Scott‘s upcoming thriller, The Dog Stars. Variety first reported that Elordi is in early negotiations to take over the starring role in the post-apocalyptic film after Mescal ran into scheduling issues. Mescal was forced to drop the part due to filming for his role as Paul McCartney in Sam Mendes‘ The Beatles anthology films.
