Flip the switch and let the cauldron bubble because the Practical Magic 2 cast is getting bigger.

Joining Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock — who were both previously announced as part of the sequel film — are We Were the Lucky Ones actress Joey King and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, according to a press release.

Also joining the cast are The Hobbit star Lee Pace, Cobra Kai actor Xolo Maridueña and Tom Jones actor Solly McLeod.

Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, who previously portrayed the eccentric Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny in the first Practical Magic film, will also return.

“Twenty-five years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman’s beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story,” the Practical Magic filmmaking team said in the press release.

They added, “The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens’ story to new fans, and those who’ve been with us since the beginning.”

Practical Magic first charmed audiences in 1998. It followed Gillian Owens and Sally Owens, two witch sisters born into a magical family and raised by their aunts in a small town, according to a synopsis.

When Gillian’s (Kidman) boyfriend dies unexpectedly, the sisters “give themselves a crash course in hard magic” and try to “resurrect him,” the synopsis states.

The original film also starred Evan Rachel Wood, Camilla Belle and Margo Martindale.

Production is underway for the sequel, which arrives in theaters Sept. 18, 2026.

Tom Holland has been enjoying his time filming Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey.

The actor called playing the role of Telemachus in the upcoming film “the job of a lifetime” in a recent interview with GQ Sports.

“It was amazing. The job of a lifetime, without a doubt. The best experience I’ve had on a film set,” Holland said. “Incredible. It was exciting. It was different. And I think the movie is going to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen.”

Holland had nothing but kind words to say about Nolan and his wife and producer Emma Thomas.

“Working with Chris, getting to know him and Emma was absolutely fantastic. I’ve never seen someone that can work the way that they do, and there is a reason why they’re the best in the business for sure,” Holland said. “To get a front row seat to that and to be a part of the process and to collaborate with a true master of his craft and learn from him was the best experience I’ve ever had.”

Holland is leading the ensemble of the film alongside Matt Damon, who is playing Odysseus. The star-studded cast of The Odyssey also includes Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.

“Matt Damon has always been a hero of mine, Anne Hathaway has always been a hero of mine,” Holland said. “So to share scenes with them, to learn from them, to become friends with them, I couldn’t have asked for a better job. And I’m so proud of the work I’ve done. I came to work every day with a real sense of purpose and a point to prove, and I’m so grateful for Chris to have given me that opportunity.”

Michael C. Hall on how Dexter Morgan has changed in ‘Dexter: Resurrection’

Dexter Morgan lives!

The titular serial killer is back in the new series Dexter: Resurrection, which is a continuation of the series Dexter: New Blood, which in turn is a sequel to the beloved series Dexter.

This new series picks up weeks after Dexter took a bullet to the chest at the hands of his own son, Harrison Morgan, at the end of Dexter: New Blood. After he wakes up from a coma, Dexter sets out for New York City to find Harrison and make things right.

Michael C. Hall reprises his role as Dexter for the new show. He talked to ABC Audio about how the character has changed over the years.

“I think Dexter, when we first meet him, has a very firm line that he’s drawn between the life he simulates—the seemingly normal human life—and who he imagines himself to truly be,” Hall said. “I think, at this point, the lines are completely interweaving and intersecting and, as far as his humanity goes, I think the one thing that’s undeniable is his very human connection to his son.”

While Hall says Dexter’s relationship with Harrison “was backed into a pretty gnarly corner at the end of New Blood,” the bullet did not end up killing him, so he now has “a second chance at life and a chance to reclaim his identity.”

Hall believes New York City is exactly where Dexter feels he is supposed to be.

“Obviously he wasn’t supposed to die and he’s suppose to be here,” Hall said. “As often happens with Dexter, he attracts pretty unsavory people and he is definitely doing that at a level that’s so beyond anything we’ve seen before.”

Dexter: Resurrection debuts its first two episodes Friday on Paramount+.

Larry David is teaming up with the Obamas for a new comedy series.

HBO has ordered a sketch comedy limited series from David produced by former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama‘s production company, Higher Ground.

“President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion,” the show’s logline reads. “…But then Larry David called.”

David and Jeff Schaffer wrote the series, which will feature a mix of Curb Your Enthusiasm actors and other noteworthy guest stars. Schaffer will direct the show.

Barack Obama said in a press release that he has “sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems,” but that “nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.”

David gave a statement on his decision to return to television after the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

“Once Curb ended, I celebrated with a three-day foam party. After a violent allergic reaction to the suds, I yearned to return to my simple life as a beekeeper, harvesting organic honey from the wildflowers in my meadow. Alas, one day my bees mysteriously vanished,” David said. “And so, it is with a heavy heart that I return to television, hoping to ease the loss of my beloved hive.”

Apple TV+ released the trailer for the historical drama show on Thursday.

Momoa stars alongside Luciane Buchanan, Temuera Morrison, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis and newcomer Kaina Makua.

“This island. This is your home. This land will hold you. Long after I’m gone,” Momoa’s Ka‘iana says in the trailer.
