Warner Bros. Pictures.

A sneak peek for Superman: Legacy is here.

On Thursday, a new nearly five-minute clip was released by DC on YouTube and features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent and Superman’s dog, Krypto.

The clip shows Superman waking up in a remote, snowy landscape, bloody and beaten.

Krypto then appears out of nowhere and after a few tries at asking his dog to take him home and a few sweet kisses, Krypto takes Superman to the Fortress of Solitude, where a robotic crew comes to his aid.

Superman thanks the robots and they reply, “No need to thank us, sir, as we will not appreciate it. We have no consciousness whatsoever. Merely automatons here to serve.”

The sneak peek also featured a look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and Rachel Brosnahan a Lois Lane.

The clip was unveiled at CinemaCon earlier this week.

During the film’s presentation at the convention, director James Gunn said, “I cannot wait to share the film with all you guys and the rest of the world,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the highly anticipated upcoming film, Gunn “takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind,” according to a description.

Superman: Legacy is set to premiere on July 11, 2025.

Pierce Brosnan is the patriarch of an Irish crime family in the new series MobLand.

The show, which comes from Guy Ritchie, drops new episodes every Sunday exclusively on Paramount+.

Brosnan plays Conrad Harrigan, the head of a successful Irish crime family based in London. Helen Mirren plays his wife, Maeve Harrigan, and he told ABC Audio working alongside her was as delightful as getting ready beside her in the makeup trailer each morning.

“It was such a delightful company of people. Every day was a joy to go to work,” Brosnan said. “I have the greatest admiration for Helen. And we’d be in the makeup trailer, 6 o’clock in the morning, cup of tea. She’d be getting ready here, I’d be getting ready there.”

Brosnan said MobLand fulfilled his dream of getting to work with Ritchie. His wife, Keely Shaye Smith, told him last year to make a list of all the directors he has yet to collaborate with who he’d love to get the chance to work with.

“I’ve always wanted to work with him,” Brosnan said of Ritchie. “He was on my list.”

Out of the 10 directors he wrote down, he has already accomplished working with two of them — Ritchie with MobLand and Steven Soderbergh with the film Black Bag.

MobLand has “its own unique place in my heart now,” Brosnan said. “Helen is impeccable, Tom [Hardy], great presence. And then, you know, great dialogue.”

Tom Cruise paid tribute to his late Top Gun co-star Val Kilmer on Thursday.

While speaking onstage at CinemaCon 2025 about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Cruise took a moment to honor Kilmer and shared what it meant to work with the actor on Top Gun, according to Variety. He also asked attendees to join him in a moment of silence for Kilmer.

“I can’t tell you how much I admire his work, how grateful and honored I was when he joined Top Gun and came back later for Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise said. “I think it would be really nice if we could just have a moment together, because he loved movies, and he gave a lot to all of us. Just kind of think about all the wonderful times that we had with him.”

After the moment of silence, Cruise, speaking to his late co-star, said, “I wish you well on the next journey.”

Top Gun served as Kilmer’s first major role, playing Tom “Iceman” Kazansky alongside Cruise’s Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

Kilmer died from pneumonia Tuesday night, according to his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, who confirmed the news to The Associated Press.

Pneumonia is a lung infection commonly caused by bacteria or viruses, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Kilmer was previously diagnosed with throat cancer in 2015 and underwent a tracheotomy — a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the front of the neck to access the trachea, or windpipe, directly, according to the Cleveland Clinic — which made speaking difficult for the actor.

Kilmer is survived by his Mercedes and his son, Jack.

Robot animals are back in the brand-new Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 teaser trailer.

The new look, unveiled by Universal Pictures on Wednesday, reveals glimpses of horrifying animatronics similar to the ones featured in the first film in 2023, which starred Josh Hutcherson as a security guard on duty at a haunted pizzeria.

The trailer begins at what appears to be a creepy fair as an announcer leads a screaming chorus of children counting down from five.

Hutcherson is seen in a brief shot looking concerned before we see a glimpse of an animatronic figure attacking a bystander in what appears to be a school hallway.

The action-packed teaser shows several clips of the animatronics wreaking havoc, as they did in the first film.

Viewers also catch a glimpse of Hutcherson alongside cast members Piper Rubio and Elizabeth Lail, who both appeared in the first film.

“Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances,” a description of the film, which is produced by Blumhouse Productions, reads.

The description continues, “Blumhouse’s box-office horror phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy’s, the highest-grossing horror film of 2023, begins a blood-chilling new chapter of animatronic terror. Based on Scott Cawthon‘s blockbuster game series, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is directed by acclaimed returning filmmaker Emma Tammi.”

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 5.

Universal has shared new details about Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming film adaptation of The Odyssey.

The studio’s distribution chief, Jim Orr, took to the stage at CinemaCon 2025 on Wednesday to talk about the film, which is based off of Homer‘s epic poem.

Orr called the film “a visionary, once-in-a-generation cinematic masterpiece that Homer himself would quite likely be proud of,” according to Variety.

He then talked about the film’s actors, saying Nolan “assembled a staggering all-star cast.” Orr listed off some of the ensemble, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron.

While Damon is confirmed to be playing Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, the distribution chief did not confirm which characters the rest of the cast would portray.

Homer’s The Odyssey, of course, tells the story of the Greek hero Odysseus’ 10-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. He is filled with interruptions in his quest to return home to his wife, Penelope, and his grown son, Telemachus, who fights off suitors who are desperate to steal his father’s throne.

According to its official description from Universal, Nolan’s film adaptation is a “mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new Imax film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to Imax film screens for the first time.”

It is Nolan’s first film since his best picture Oscar-winning blockbuster Oppenheimer.

The Odyssey opens in movie theaters on July 17, 2026.

Twice Upon a Time in Hollywood.

David Fincher is set to direct Brad Pitt in a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Quentin Tarantino will write the script for the follow-up to his Oscar-winning film, as The Playlist first reported. ABC Audio reached out to Pitt’s team, who declined to comment at this time.

While the film does not yet have a title, it will be made for Netflix, where Fincher has a first-look deal. Pitt will reprise his role as stuntman Cliff Booth in the film, for which he won an Oscar for best supporting actor.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was written and directed by Tarantino. It was released by Sony Pictures in 2019. At the time, Tarantino negotiated a deal to return him ownership of the film’s underlying copyright after a certain number of years.

Not only is the sequel finding a shift in high-profile director, it’s a shift from a theatrical release to a streaming service release.

The film’s announcement comes after Tarantino has scrapped plans for The Movie Critic, which would have been his 10th film. Pitt had also been cast in that movie’s lead role.

Its story reportedly took place in the ’70s and was about a film critic who wrote for a porn magazine. There were rumors Pitt would play a version of the Cliff Booth character in that film — now we know he will officially step back into those shoes in the upcoming sequel.

Filming for ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ to begin in July

Filming for the next Hunger Games film, Sunrise on the Reaping, is set to begin in July.

Francis Lawrence, who has directed each Hunger Games film since Catching Fire in 2012, will be returning to direct the upcoming project.

Lawrence, who attended CinemaCon on Tuesday, spoke to attendees about the new film and said that they’re working on casting.

“We’re very excited,” he said. “We’ve been working on this draft for a year. We start shooting in July.”

Additionally, a promotional clip for the film was shared on Instagram. It features Woody Harrelson‘s character, Haymitch Abernathy, saying at the end, “I think the games are going to be different.”

Sunrise on the Reaping is based on author Suzanne Collins‘ novel of the same name. The book was released in March 2025 and “revisits the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games,” according to a press release from Scholastic.

The novel begins on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. It follows a young Haymitch, whose name is called to participate in the games, according to a synopsis.

In a statement shared in the Scholastic press release, Collins said, “With Sunrise on the Reaping, I was inspired by David Hume‘s idea of implicit submission and, in his words, ‘the easiness with which the many are governed by the few.’ The story also lent itself to a deeper dive into the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ seems more pressing to me every day.”

Sunrise on the Reaping will arrive in theaters Nov. 20, 2026.
