If your social media friends list has started fading into dust, it’s not because of Thanos. It’s because they don’t want Spider-Man: No Way Home spoiled for them.

The movie screened in its entirety for the first time in New York and Los Angeles Monday night, and a review embargo expired at 1:30 a.m. — which means if you weren’t lucky enough to see it, social media is a spoiler minefield. In fact, so much of the movie contains so many secrets, just a fraction of it was shown in advance to some journalists ahead of cast interviews last week — and what those insiders didn’t see, until last night, was a whole lot.

When the movie began on both coasts, a short video ran with cast members Tom HollandZendaya, Jacob Batalon and Jamie Foxx urging those lucky moviegoers not to blab before the movie officially opens Friday.

That said, professional movie reviewers have a job to do, and there’s no way of talking about the movie without spilling the tea. And then there are professional trolls, who love raining on parades.

To those ends, the New York Post is reporting #DeletingTwitter is currently trending, with Web-heads leaving the social media platform to avoid spoilers until they’ve seen the movie themselves.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a co-production of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, the latter of which is owned by ABC News’ parent company, Disney.

The Sun is reporting that Tom Cruise felt the need for speed once again, which is why he flew 300 cakes as Christmas gifts across The Pond.

The publication reports Cruise sent the gifts via his private jet, as a sweet token of appreciation to his U.K.-based crew of the next Mission: Impossible film.

“It is extravagant, but Tom is an incredibly generous person and he wanted to do something special for everyone who has worked on the movie with him,” a source tells the paper.

While The Sun doesn’t specify, in the past it’s been reported that Cruise is partial to sending the White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake from LA-based Doan’s Bakery to friends and colleagues come holiday time. It’s so well known, in fact, that it’s become known as the “Tom Cruise Cake.”

If you’ve ever had one, you could understand why Cruise undertook the Mission: Gastronomical. The offering from the Woodland Hills, California bakery is a favorite with Hollywood A-listers.

According to Goldbelly, which ships the treats: “They start with a ring of moist, luxurious coconut bundt cake, mix in chunks of sweet white chocolate, layer on rich cream cheese frosting, and then dust it all over with toasted coconut flakes. The result is a delicious, pillowy cake good enough to derail the strictest Hollywood diets.”

Best of all, Goldbelly will ship one of the $99 creations directly to you, so there’s no need to have a celebrity friend with a private jet to get your hands on one.

As it does every year, the Library of Congress has selected a collection of films to be preserved in the National Film Registry, and for 2021, Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi, the Disney/Pixar film Wall-E, and the first of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring made the cut.

Sherri Shepherd had to miss out on guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show Monday due to undergoing emergency surgery on Sunday.

In a statement shared with People, a rep for Shepherd said, “Due to appendicitis, Sherri Shepherd underwent an emergency surgery yesterday. The procedure was successful and Ms. Shepherd is doing fine and resting.”

The statement continued, “She is absolutely devastated that she will not be able to guest host The Wendy Williams Show today, but she is following doctors orders and expected to make a full recovery. Thank you all for understanding and respecting her privacy.”

Michael Rapaport took over the hosting duties and addressed Shepherd’s absence during the show saying, “Sherri was supposed to host today, unfortunately, she had appendicitis.”

“She’s fine, she is fine, she had to go to the hospital last night for some emergency surgery,” he said. “She’s feeling fine today and she is resting. Get well soon Sherri, everybody loves you!”

Shepherd also took to social media to thank Rapaport for stepping in.

“If you watched the @WendyWilliams show today, you saw the news about my emergency surgery,” she wrote. “Thanks to @MichaelRapaport for stepping in for me at the last minute! And while I’m mad I didn’t meet WWE’s Naomi aka @trinity_fatu in person yet, Jeffrey did!”

Shepherd, who is scheduled to guest host again in late January, is just one to the guests hosts scheduled for The Wendy Williams Show while its original hosts Wendy Williams, focuses on her ongoing health issues.

In a statement last month, Williams said, “HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected.”

The main cast of Spider-Man: No Way Home — Tom HollandBenedict CumberbatchZendaya and Jacob Batalon — were Monday’s guests on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! where they fielded some tough questions from Jimmy and even tougher ones from younger fans.

At one point during the interview, the cast answered prerecorded questions from kids about the Spider-Man movies.

One girl asked Zendaya which Spider-Man was her favorite — Holland, Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield — to which she replied, “Listen, I’m not gonna get in trouble, I’m not gonna pick a favorite, but…,” before pointing to Holland].”

The Euphoria star was also asked if she was mad about not being Spider-Woman, and said that she wasn’t, explaining, “If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that this superheroing isn’t always that easy, so I’m good.”

Another girl asked Holland how long a fight between him and Thor would last and who would win. “I hope it would be pretty quick and painless,” he answered, adding, “I think he would batter me, [Thor actor Chris Hemsworth] and Thor.”

While Tom and Zendaya have both seen the movie, though not the finished version, Cumberbatch opted to wait until the premiere, explaining, “I want to have an experience with an audience. That’s what we have been coming back to, is to be able to enjoy it with the community again.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home opens in theaters on Friday.

“F*** you” — Kristin Davis unloads on ‘…And Just Like That’ cast age shamers

“F*** you” — Kristin Davis unloads on ‘…And Just Like That’ cast age shamers
HBO Max

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Kristin Davis has some choice words for trolls taking shots at her and her fellow …And Just Like That co-stars. Well, really just two: “F*** you.”

In an interview with U.K.’s The Sunday Times Style magazine, Davis unloaded on anonymous Internet denizens who have taken shots at the actresses since the HBO Max Sex and the City follow-up was announced.

“Everyone wants to comment, pro or nay or whatever, on our hair and our faces and our this and our that,” she said, referring to herself and co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.

“The level of intensity of it was a shock,” admits the 56-year-old actress and producer who portrays Charlotte York Goldblatt. “I feel angry and I don’t want to feel angry all the time, so I don’t look at it, I just know it’s there.”

Davis continues, “That’s the problem with social media, right, is that you don’t know what those people are doing. You don’t know anything about them. They’re just hurling bombs at you. It makes me angry.”

She adds, “I’m going to be blunt. I feel like, ‘F*** you. F***you people,’ like, ‘Come over here and do it better.’ You know what I mean? Like, what are you doing?”

Davis comments come after Carrie Bradshaw herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, called out “misogynistic” coverage of the show’s lead threesome, telling Vogue, “[It] would never. Happen. About. A Man.”

The star, who’s also 56, said, “Everyone has something to say. ‘She has too many wrinkles, she doesn’t have enough wrinkles.'”

She added, “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”
