Flavor Flav is shedding some light on how that picture of him with Kim KardashianPete Davidson and Kris Jenner came to be. Turns out Flav was a gift from Kim to her rumored beau, Pete.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the rapper said, “When it comes down to Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian, first of all, to me, that is family…And the whole night I was so honored to be in their presence.”

“One thing that I could say is Pete Davidson loves himself some Flavor Flav. Everything he does is, ‘Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that, Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that.’ So Kim said, ‘OK, well, for your birthday, you are going to have Flavor Flav.’ She sent for me and that’s how I ended up there,” Flav explained, adding, “I was the birthday gift.

Davidson turned 28 last month and celebrated his birthday with the group in Palm Springs. In posts shared to social media, the foursome donned matching plaid pajamas, which further fueled romance rumors between the SKIMS founder and SNL cast member.

“When it comes down to Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian’s relationship, only them two know it best,” Flav expressed when asked about the two’s relationship. “They just invited me into the circle, but I really don’t know the full [story].”

“And plus besides, that’s Kim and Pete, man. I would rather them tell about their situation than me,” he added. “But I’m grateful to them that they gave me the opportunity to be the first to publicize the picture with both of them together.”

A new documentary aims to reveal a lot about the dreams and demons that drove Juice WRLD, a rapper who died of an accidental drug overdose two years ago in Chicago. Tommy Oliver directed Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss, which premieres tonight on HBO, and he tells ABC Audio that viewers will learn that Juice was more than just a rapper.

“He was somebody who cared about mental health,” Oliver explains. “He was somebody who used his platform to try to move that conversation forward in trying to destigmatize it. He was somebody who could hang with the hardest rappers or somebody who could bang out with people who don’t like rap, but they love rock and all of it.”

Additionally, Oliver, who admittedly was just a casual fan when he started on the project, adds that he learned a lot about the late artist and even ranks him among the greatest.

“I learned so much of just how sweet of a person he was and that he is the GOAT freestyler bar none and that he’s one of the best artists of all time,” he says.

Given that the documentary film is based on Juice WRLD’s life, audiences will see a lot of drug use on camera, which Oliver explains was pretty much unavoidable in an effort to accurately tell the rapper’s story.

“I genuinely don’t know how I could have told his story, especially in this version without the drugs, because the drugs were omnipresent,” he says.

“I was never going to glamorize them or the usage of them, was never going to sensationalize it,” Oliver adds. “It was about offering context for the situations, for him, but there was no telling his story without it.”

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Sex and the City veteran Willie Garson was only able to film three episodes of the show’s updated incarnation …And Just Like That before he died in September of pancreatic cancer.

But Mario Cantone, who played Garson’s onscreen husband, Anthony Marentino, recently told Gilbert Gottfried‘s Amazing Colossal Show on SiriusXM that he’s still in mourning over the loss of SATC‘s Stanford Blanch.

“Well, Willie, he’s in the first three episodes and he’s so alive and brilliant and hilarious in this,” Cantone explained.

Garson’s death “was a real shock,” the actor says. “None of us knew…it was terrible. It was very sad.”

Cantone praised Garson for being a great dad to son Nathen, who Willie adopted back in 2009.

“We lived on separate coasts, so I didn’t see [Willie] a lot, but every time we did a benefit together, or like we did a couple of readings on Zoom, during COVID we were zooming. We were always, like, texting each other talking s***,” said Mario.

“But I miss him,” Cantone explained. “[He] made me laugh so hard and he was a great TV husband. Oh God, he was loved. And he was brilliant and hilarious and just, he was everything. I miss him a lot.”

…And Just Like that, also starring Sarah Jessica ParkerKristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, airs on HBO Max.

black-ish‘s eighth and final season begins January 4, and for the season premiere, the Johnsons will be joined by a very special guest, Michelle Obama.

Rainbow, portrayed by Tracee Ellis Ross, and Andre, played by Anthony Anderson, attend a fundraiser, and the featured speaker at the event is Mrs. Obama. They invite her to dinner, and to their surprise, Michelle accepts their invitation.

Back in October, the cast teased her appearance by sharing a photo with their VIP guest on social media. The final season of Black-ish premieres on Tuesday, January 4, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In other news, Oscar winner Mahershala Ali stars in the upcoming Apple TV+ movie Swan Song, and he says he loved reuniting in the film with his Moonlight co-star Naomie Harris.

“Working with Naomie in this was unbelievable,” Ali tells Essence. “I remember working with her in Moonlight and thinking, ‘Ah, I would love to work with her in another iteration and just have more time together.’ Once we had a chance to do this, it was kind of a dream come true because I have so much respect for her as both an actor and a person.”

In the futuristic film, Ali portrays Cameron Turner, who is diagnosed with a terminal illness, and replaces himself with a clone. Harris plays his wife. Swan Song will be released in theaters and on Apple TV+ on Friday, December 17.

Finally, K. Michelle, Rich Dollaz, Lyrica Anderson and Gangsta Boo from Three 6 Mafia will be among the stars featured in the new Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition, according to The Jasmine Brand. The show will premiere in March 2022 on WE tv.

‘Ted Lasso’ drops a Christmas surprise for fans: A claymation holiday short

Apple TV+

Jason Sudeikis and the rest of the cast of his Emmy-winning Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso have just unwrapped a surprise holiday gift for fans: a claymation holiday short called The Missing Christmas Mustache

As they did with the animated opening of the August 13 episode “Carol of the Bells,” the short features cute clay avatars for Sudeikis and his fellow Emmy winners Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein, as well as for Brendan Hunt‘s Coach Beard, Juno Temple‘s Keeley, Jeremy Swift‘s Higgins, Nick Mohammed‘s Nate and Phil Dunster‘s Jamie.

In the short, Sudeikis’ Ted stuns himself — and his Plasticine pals — when his trademark mustache vanishes, ahead of a FaceTime call with his son in the States.

The gang tries to find the missing ‘stache, and failing that, tries to make a duplicate — courtesy Coach Beard’s handy disguise kit. When that fails, Brett Goldstein’s Roy literally rips his own eyebrows off to create an analogue. He then grunts and sprouts a replacement pair for himself. “You’re so hairy,” Temple’s Keeley swoons.

Ted realizes that nothing can replace his own lip warmer, but he makes peace with it, as only Ted could.

“It’s not about making Christmas perfect for the people you love, it’s the people you love that make Christmas perfect,” he says.

And with that Ted Lasso-ism, his trademark crumb catcher magically reappears, just in time for his FaceTime.

“Have a perfect Christmas,” Ted tells viewers in a fourth-wall break. “Ah, an imperfect Christmas, because it’s the imperfections that make — I mean you get it, you saw what we’re going for, right?”

CSI: Vegas is coming back. Again.

The re-launched version of the original mothership procedural that spawned CSI: Miami and CSI: New York, will return for another season, CBS announced Wednesday.

The re-launch brought back original star and executive producer William Petersen, as well as returning cast members Jorja FoxWallace Langham, and Paul Guilfoyle, and has been a ratings winner for the network. In fact, its playback numbers on Paramount+ were the “highest playback of any new drama on any network,” CBS touts.

In the announcement, CBS’ Executive Vice President of Current Programs Amy Reisenbach said the performance proved “that after 20 years, the CSI fan base is still hungry for more and ready to embrace a new chapter in this illustrious franchise.”

CSI first debuted October 6, 2000, and ran through 2015. The new installment wrapped its first season last week. In it, a new team tackled new cases coming into the Las Vegas crime lab, while the show’s veterans, including Peterson’s Gil Grissom and Fox’s Sara Sidle, tackled a criminal conspiracy that put at risk many of their originally solved investigations.

Nicolas Cage is playing the role he was born to play, well, Nicolas Cage, in the trailer for the new comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Actually, as the Oscar winner confessed to Collider last year, the movie centers on a, “neurotic, high-strung, anxiety-ridden” spoof of himself, who, despite his Hollywood stardom, is in need of a quick paycheck.

Incidentally, the latter, at least according to some reports, may have been true.

To that end, Cage’s agent, played by Neil Patrick Harris, has an offer: come to the destination birthday party of an equally eccentric billionaire, Javi Gutierrez, played by The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal, and collect a million bucks.

Javi even has a shrine dedicated to the actor, complete with a less-than-Madam Tussaud’s-quality life-sized replica of the Face-Off star.

“It’s grotesque,” Cage bristles. “I’ll give you $20 thousand dollars for it.”

Again, not totally off-base, seeing as the real Cage once allegedly outbid Leonardo DiCaprio for a 67-million-year-old, $300,000 dinosaur skull.

In the trailer, Cage pokes fun at himself as his big-screen alter-ego chews scenery, dons disguises, and goes on the run with his equally weird new friend. It’s not exactly clear what happens once he does, but anything’s possible from a movie its producers are calling “The Most Nicolas Cage Movie Ever.”

Also starring Tiffany HaddishThe Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent opens April 22.

While Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is a massive Real Housewives fan, don’t expect her to represent Jersey on a future installment.

Snooki, who came to fame on MTV’s reality show Jersey Shore, is just happy watching the Bravo show with other fans. And while her wild nights were cataloged on Jersey Shore and its spin-offs, Snooki is sure she can’t “hang” with the Housewives gang.

“I’m, like, terrified because some of those girls. They get into it.” the 34-year-old tells Page Six. “I don’t really go out. I like to stay home. I like to be in bed by eight.”

The mom, TV star and entrepreneur confesses, “Even though I’m on a reality show, I hate drama. I like positivity and I like just having a good time and going home. I just feel like that would be [too] wild.”

The publication notes the mom to 9-year-old Lorenzo, 7-year-old Giovanna and 2-year-old Angelo was quick to shoot down a rumor in 2020 that she was being scouted for a future installment of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Snooki is currently filming a new season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Tony Stark’s drinking, Hulk’s anger issues: Scientists track superheroes’ health

Tony Stark’s drinking, Hulk’s anger issues: Scientists track superheroes’ health
Tony Stark’s drinking, Hulk’s anger issues: Scientists track superheroes’ health
Jeremy Renner as a banged-up Clint Barton in “Hawkeye” — Marvel Studios/Chuck Zlotnick

With superheroes everywhere on the big and small screens these days, a group of Australian scientists wanted to analyze what health issues they might have if they were real.

Yes, this was a legitimate study from the University of Queensland of the long-term health effects of Avenging, that was just published in the British Medical Journal, which traditionally lets its hair down for its annual Christmas issue.

Incidentally, Hawkeye examines Clint Barton’s hero-related hearing loss and PTSD, and characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home exchange superheroic wear-and-tear stories — though spoiler etiquette dictates we can’t reveal who does the griping.

For the study, researchers watched 24 Marvel Studios films released between 2008 to 2021, and found superheroes, “regularly engage in physical activity and exercise…and they exhibit a high degree of social cohesion and connectedness, both associated with a reduced risk of dementia.”

In other words, the Avengers assembling was good for staving off dementia, as well as foes from another dimension.

The MCU’s heroes, “also show a positive or optimistic mindset, as well as psychological resilience and a sense of purpose, all of which have been associated with healthy aging.”

“With the exception of Thor and Iron Man, the superheroes do not drink heavily or smoke,” either, the report details.

That said, Thor is a 1,500-plus-year-old Asguardian, so he’s got a cheat when it comes to longevity — though Spider-Man’s yoga-like flexibility, and Black Panther’s vegetarianism can also help us mere mortals.

However, there were some caveats: Hulk’s excess weight and prone to fits of becoming an enormous green rage monster shouldn’t be emulated, and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow’s childhood trauma could have affected her later in life — that is, if she didn’t pitch herself off a cliff in a world-saving sacrifice for the Soul Stone in Avengers: Endgame.
