(NEW YORK) — At least three people are dead in Oklahoma after a string of tornadoes broke out Wednesday night, officials said.

There have been eight confirmed tornadoes in the state, according to the National Weather Service.

McClain County Emergency Management confirmed that a “large and extremely dangerous tornado” was over Cole, Oklahoma, Wednesday night. The McClain County Sheriff’s Office confirmed at least two deaths and said there were multiple injuries.

Overall, there were at least 15 reported tornadoes across three states: Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa. In addition, huge hail — some the size of a softball — was reported from Illinois to Texas.

Cole was “hit significantly,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Eric Foster said. There are “power lines down everywhere” and major damage to infrastructure, according to Foster, who said hundreds of first responders are on the scene.

On Wednesday night, the McClain County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that it was responding to “reported injuries & persons entrapped within their shelters,” and that power lines were down and there were outages. McClain County is just south of Oklahoma City.

Due to storm damage, Oklahoma State Highway 74 to State Highway 76 was closed, according to the McClain County Sheriff’s Office.

Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee reported there was significant damage to its campus, but reported there were no injuries. Students living in three on-campus building were relocated on Wednesday night, according to a tweet.

The university also canceled classes on Thursday and Friday.

The cross country storm is moving east and is producing severe weather outbreak with tornadoes, huge hail and extreme straight line winds. On Thursday, severe weather will stretch east from Texas to Illinois, including major cities such as San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, St. Louis and Little Rock, Arkansas. The biggest threat will be damaging winds and huge hail.

Severe weather will move into the Southeast over the weekend and will stretch from the Carolinas down to Georgia. Cities in the bull’s-eye will be Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Wilmington, North Carolina; and near Raleigh, North Carolina. Damaging winds will be the biggest threat Saturday.

The same storm will bring a threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms all the way to Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York City Saturday evening.

Major flooding ongoing in the upper Mississippi river in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin is expected to get worse this weekend. The river is expected to continue to rise though the end of the week and into the weekend, reaching levels not seen in decades.

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Bruce Campbell is a cult movie icon, having appeared in all of Sam Raimi‘s films, including the classic Evil Dead and Army of Darkness movies, as well as Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and more recently his Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

2002’s Spider-Man had him playing an underground wrestling promoter who dubs Tobey Maguire‘s Peter Parker “The Amazing Spider-Man” instead of “The Human Spider.” Although Liam Neeson played the hero Darkman in Raimi’s 1990 movie of the same name, it ends with a shot of Campbell, portraying the character in disguise.

In Multiverse of Madness, he was known as Pizza Poppa, a guy who sold ball-shaped pizza in another dimension who tangles unsuccessfully with the Master of the Mystic Arts before capping the film with another cameo. Campbell jokes about the impact he’s had on pop culture. “I named Spider-Man. I put an end to Doctor Strange. I am Darkman, so I don’t know if people quite understand the iconic nature of my career that I really have,” he deadpans.

“Because if I wasn’t in the billion-dollar franchise, it would be called The Human Spider, unless I had renamed it thinking it was a s***** name. So people think, ‘Oh yeah, a little tiny cameo. Funny cameo.’ Pivotal. Pivotal is the word I always come back to.”

Bruce is currently in the midst of his Bruce-O-Rama Tour, in which he interacts with fans, screens some of his movies and hosts “Last Fan Standing,” what he calls “a game show for geeks.” He adds, “There’s no geography, there’s no history. You know, it’s about Boba Fett and crap like that … it’s a lot of fun.”

The tour runs through April 30.

Pink Floyd’s 50th anniversary celebration of The Dark Side of the Moon continues, and Thursday it was marked with a special event that coincided with a rare total solar eclipse.

Eight fans won a trip to a secluded beach at Ningaloo (Nyinggulu) Marine Park in Exmouth, Western Australia, where they listened to the album in full — timed so that the closing line, “but the sun is eclipsed by the moon …,” would play at the exact moment of the eclipse. Not only that, on the beach was constructed a giant black pyramid, similar to the cover of the classic album.

A clip of the experience can be seen on the band’s Instagram page. It was also livestreamed on the band’s website and was filmed for a short-form documentary on the sweepstakes winners, dubbed the Astronome Domine 8, coming at a later date.

Released on March 1, 1973, The Dark Side of the Moon was Pink Floyd’s eighth studio release and to this day is one of their most commercially successful releases ever.

(BOWDOIN, Maine) — A 34-year-old man allegedly shot and killed his parents and their two friends at a home in Bowdoin, Maine, days after his release from prison, authorities said.

Around 9:21 a.m. Tuesday, four people were found shot dead at the home: 72-year-old Robert Eger, 62-year-old Patricia Eger and 62-year-old Cynthia Eaton were found inside, while 66-year-old David Eaton was found in the barn, Maine State Police said at a news conference Wednesday.

The Eatons’ son, Joseph Eaton, had been released from the Windham Correctional Facility in Maine on April 14 after serving a sentence for aggravated assault, according to police. His mother picked him up from prison and brought him to Bowdoin to stay with the Egers, who were family friends, police said.

Shortly after the four bodies were found, around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Joseph Eaton allegedly shot three people as they drove south on Interstate 295 in Yarmouth, about 25 miles south of Bowdoin, police said.

One of the interstate shooting victims, a 25-year-old woman, is in critical condition, police said. The other two victims, a 51-year-old man and his 29-year-old son, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Joseph Eaton was taken into custody and “confessed to killing his parents and their friends in Bowdoin,” state police said. Joseph Eaton allegedly “believed that the vehicles he had shot on the interstate were police vehicles that were following him.”

He has been charged with four counts of murder, police said.

Joseph Eaton made his first appearance in court on Thursday morning. He spoke briefly, only to say he understood the charges against him, and did not enter a plea.

(BOCA CHICA, Texas) — SpaceX will attempt a second launch of its Starship rocket after the first launch attempt was scrubbed due to a frozen valve in the pressurization system.

The launch will take place at the company’s Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas — about 20 miles east of Brownsville — with a 62-minute window opening at 9:28 a.m. ET. A live webcast will begin 45 minutes before liftoff.

Here’s how the news is developing. All times Eastern:

Starship boosters fail to separate from shuttle, rocket blown up

SpaceX was able to get its Starship rocket off the pad, but all didn’t go as planned.

About three minutes into flight, “Starship experienced a rapid unscheduled disassembly before stage separation,” SpaceX tweeted.

Therefore, SpaceX was forced to abort the mission and blow up the rocket, but the team says it’s more of a “success” than they hoped for.

Apr 20, 9:39 AM EDT
Starship launches into space

Starship launched at 9:33 a.m. ET, just five minutes after the launch window opened, on its inaugural flight.

The shuttle is currently the largest spacecraft in the world at about 393 feet and is expected to eventually carry passengers to the moon and Mars in a similar vein to NASA’s Artemis mission.

Starship is designed to carry up to 100 people on long-duration, interplanetary flights.

Apr 20, 9:23 AM EDT
What Starship’s journey will look like

For this first flight test, SpaceX said Starship will not attempt a vertical landing of Starship or a catch of the booster.

If successful, Starship and its rocket, which is called Super Heavy, will head up to the skies and 33 Raptor engines will ignite simultaneously. About eight minutes after liftoff, Super Heavy will splash down in the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the spacecraft will travel about 150 miles — partially around the Earth — and then splash down in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii about 90 minutes after liftoff.

There will be a 62-minute window opening at 9:28 a.m. ET. A live webcast began 45 minutes before liftoff.

Starship rocket is being loaded

SpaceX is fueling its Starship rocket — the world’s larger spacecraft — as it attempts a second launch.

The first launch attempt was scrubbed Monday due to a frozen valve in the pressurization system.

“The Starship team is go for prop load; team is keeping an eye on the weather,” SpaceX said in a tweet.

Ray Romano reflects on 35 years with wife Anna, talks new film ‘Somewhere in Queens’
Good Morning America

After 35 years of marriage, Ray Romano says nobody supports him like his wife Anna Romano.

“Today when I left very early, I went over and kissed my wife. I thought she was asleep and as I’m walking out the door all I hear is, ‘Don’t say anything stupid,'” he joked to Good Morning America.

The couple, who married in 1987, now have four children together — and Ray credits his wife for seeing something in him before he was famous.

“We met as bank tellers here in Queens,” he reminisced. “I was living at home — I lived at home until I was 29. I was not a catch, you know? I give her credit ’cause she married me before any of this happened.”

He recalled, “I would ride my bike to work. I don’t know what she saw in me.”

Ray Romano also told GMA it was his six-foot-five, former high school basketball player son Joseph Romano who inspired him to write, direct and star in his directorial debut Somewhere in Queens — in theaters this Friday.

“I knew I wanted it to be about my hometown of Queens and the people I grew up with,” he said.

“When it was ending, we knew he wasn’t going to continue to play — it got very emotional for me….I’m being honest, I loved being the father of the star basketball player,” Romano recalled.

“The idea was, what if this was about a guy who that’s all he had?” he continued, turning back to the film. “He felt very small and very insignificant and he lived vicariously through his son and it was ending. That was the starting point of this story.”

Texas, Taylor Swift and pets: It’s a thing.

When Taylor Swift’s Eras tour hit Arlington, TX, that city’s Animal Services ran a pet adoption special offering fans the chance to adopt a pet for $40, in honor of Taylor’s 40 top-10 hits, with a $9 adoption fee in honor of Taylor’s nine number-one hits.  But now Houston, TX, where the Eras tour is touching down this weekend, is topping that offer.

Through April 23, the Houston Humane Society is offering “Lucky $13 Cat Adoptions” in honor of Taylor’s favorite pet and her lucky number.  “KARMA IS A CAT, PURRING IN MY LAP ‘CAUSE IT LOVES ME!!!” the announcement reads, quoting Taylor’s Midnights track “Karma.”

“Adopt your new LOVER this weekend, and know ALL TOO WELL how much joy & happiness they’ll bring to your life!” it continues. “HHS is BEJEWLED to announce our Lucky $13 Cat Adoption event to HONOR The Eras Tour Houston dates this weekend!”

The offer is good for cats that have been in the shelter for 30 days or more: All you’ll pay is a $13 adoption fee to take them home.  The Humane Society also put together a graphic showing each Taylor album represented by a cat — of course, they changed the title of Reputation to Repurrtation.

The Eras Tour plays Houston’s NRG Stadium from April 21-23, which has officially been proclaimed “Taylor Swift Weekend” in Houston.  The stadium will also be temporarily renamed “NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version).”

MTV’s new female-led comedy Pretty Stoned has arrived and star Brandee Evans is sharing what its all about.

“It’s like our female stoner comedy, which I don’t think that you’ve ever seen,” she tells ABC Audio. “You know, we’ve got the boys club doing their thing, but now you finally get to see the way the ladies do it.”

“I always say, imagine like a FridayHow High crazy mix-up and that that’s where you get Pretty Stoned,” she adds.

In the movie, Evans embodies the role of Tick Tock, a tough, intense henchwoman, who she describes as “unhinged.”

“She’s working on herself too though, so I love that part,” the actress shares. “But she’s got some anger management issues that she’s trying to work through, but she’s got the heart of wanting to change.”

Tick Tock is much different from the P-Valley star’s role as Mercedes, which is, in-part, what attracted Evans to it.

“She was different than the other characters that you’ve seen me play, and she’s just funny,” she explains. “She’s also gets to do a little action stuff … So that’s what I really love.”

In addition to Evans, Pretty Stoned has a star-studded cast that includes Pretty VeeParis BerelcKandi Burruss-TuckerChris RenfroPorsha WilliamsSkye TownsendChase Anthony, Jess HilariousTabatha “DreamDoll” Robinson and D.C. Young Fly and if there were to be a sequel, she has a few ideas on who she would like to join.

Lala Milan. I think that she would be hilarious to add to the cast,” she shares. “You know what? I would love to see Issa Rae. I think that she would be hilarious.”

Catch Pretty Stoned April 20 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
