It’s been a long time coming, but Snow Patrol is finally back on top — at least in the U.K.

The Northern Irish/Scottish band’s new album, The Forest Is The Path, has topped the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, making it their first chart-topper in 18 years. Their first #1 album was 2006’s Eyes Open, which featured hits like “Chasing Cars,” “You’re All I Have,” “Hands Open” and “Shut Your Eyes.”

The band said in a statement, “We are absolutely over the moon, it’s our first Number 1 album in 18 years and we’re overjoyed! Thank you so much to everybody who bought it and streamed it, and everybody that helped us make it, and everybody that’s helped us over these last 30 years.”

The  band, which formed in 1994 but changed their name to Snow Patrol in 1997, has also just announced their first North American tour since 2019. It’ll launch March 21 in Vancouver and is currently set to wrap up April 12 in Philadelphia. You can register for artist presale access by signing up for their mailing list at their website; tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. local time.

In recent years, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid has become better known for dating Courteney Cox and for co-writing hits for other artists, including Ed Sheeran‘s “Bad Habits” and “Shivers,” BTS‘ “Permission to Dance” and Pink‘s “What About Us,” plus songs for Alicia Keys, Shawn Mendes, Kelly Clarkson and more.
