As lots of us are working to get our 2024 health and fitness resolutions off the ground, there’s one country star who seems to have his firmly in check: Chris Young.
Months ago, the “Young Love & Saturday Nights” hitmaker started a new chapter when it comes to staying in shape, one so successful he’s even posted several shirtless selfies, dating as far back as October.
So what’s his secret? Well, it turns out it has something to do with his love of sports.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” Chris tells ABC Audio. “[I] got a chance to work with a really great trainer, a guy named Jeremy Holt. He does Tight End University here in Nashville… He trains guys in the league, free agents, everything.”
“So normally when I’m in there,” he adds, “every other dude in there’s younger than me, stronger than me, faster than me. And it’s a good motivator.”
Chris finds his new determination’s seeping into other areas of his life.
“I feel a lot happier in a lot of ways with the music and with work and with everything that’s going on,” he reflects, “and just making a change for my health, I think that’s always a good thing. It’s never gonna hurt anybody and it’s been a process, you know. But I feel really good, [I’m] just enjoying it.”
Judging from his recent cryptic social media posts, it’s likely there’ll soon be something new for Chris Young fans to enjoy, as we await the follow-up album to 2021’s Famous Friends.
