A slew of new music has dropped, and of course, New Music Friday has your back. Here’s a list of some of the latest in the culture.
MoneyBagg Yo, Hard to Love — Initially delayed to let Taylor Swift‘s Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) breathe, the project is finally here. It has 20 tracks, with features from Future, Fridayy, Lil Durk, GloRilla and more.
Metro Boomin, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse — The star-studded soundtrack is “guided by what the team thinks [character] Miles listens to,” said Chris Miller, co-writer of the Spider-Man film. “If anybody is going to make something that feels like it’s Miles’ experience, [Metro Boomin] knows what he’s doing.”
The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Madonna,”Popular” — The song is the latest single released from The Idol Vol. 1 album.
Gunna, “Bread & Butter” — In his first single and video since being released from jail, Gunna addresses snitching allegations, among other things. “Never gave no statement or agreed to take no stand on ’em,” he raps.
Kid Cudi, “Porsche Topless” — “Imagine ur floating high up in the bright blue sky on a nice warm summers day,” he tweeted when telling a fan how to best prepare for the new song. He produced the track alongside BNYX and Jean Baptiste.
French Montana, Kodak Black, “I Can’t Lie” — The rappers reunite on the track, which is produced by London on da Track. It’s set to appear on the soundtrack for French’s documentary For Khadija.
Latto, Cardi B, “Put It On Da Floor Again” — The stars “put it all on da floor” in the video, which sees cameos from Offset and LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese.
Lil Uzi Vert, Bring Me the Horizon, Daryl Palumbo, “AmEN!” — Uzi raps on the song, which debuted June 1 at the band’s show in Budapest.
