Paramore played a hometown concert in Nashville Monday to celebrate the upcoming release of their new album, This Is Why. The show featured the live debut of the previously unheard This Is Why tune “Running Out of Time.”
Speaking to the crowd while introducing the song, Hayley Williams revealed that “Running Out of Time” is about how she’s “always late to everything.”
“It’s really not that deep,” she said. “Unless you wanna think about the planet dying, and then it can be that deep.”

This Is Why, the long-waited follow-up to 2017’s After Laughter, arrives this Friday. It also includes the previously released songs “This Is Why,” “The News” and “C’est Comme Ça.”
Paramore will launch a U.S. tour in support of This Is Why in May. They’re playing two shows opening for Taylor Swift in March.
