Blink-182‘s day continues with news of an upcoming Mark Hoppus memoir.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the bassist/vocalist reveals that he started writing the book “earlier this year.”

“I’m not that far into it yet,” Hoppus shares. “But I’m writing a book about my life and experience in Blink and what I’ve gone through over the past year or so.”

What Hoppus has gone through includes a battle with cancer. He announced that he was diagnosed in June 2021 and was declared “cancer free” a few months later in September.

“We’re finalizing the deal and I’m really happy with the way that’s coming together,” Hoppus says of the book. “I’m excited to tell my story.”

In addition to writing a memoir, Hoppus is preparing to hit the road again with Blink-182. As announced Tuesday, the “All the Small Things” outfit is reuniting with founding member Tom DeLonge for a 2023 world tour.
