After launching the iconic Bad Boy Entertainment label in the ’90s, Sean “Diddy” Combs is hoping for magic a second time around with his new label, Love Records.
The 52-year-old mogul dropped a teaser video for his new company featuring him working in a recording studio with several stars, including Jermaine Dupri, Offset, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and Miguel.
“It’s the Love Records experience. It’s the best of the best. The best producers, the best songwriters, the best engineers, the best vibration, the best frequency,” the BET Lifetime Achievement Award winner says in his narration.
“Imagine a studio filled with the top producers and writers in the game. Hall of Famers. Future Hall of Famers. All together under one roof, collaborating. unifying. Making the music for the Black revolution,” Diddy continues. “For the R&B renaissance. Love Records. We here. We’re stronger together.”
Diddy previously kicked off the careers of numerous artists on Bad Boy, including The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, Total, 112, Carl Thomas, Mase and Mario Winans.
Combs is the first artist on Love Records. In July, he dropped the video for “Gotta Move On” featuring Bryson Tiller — his first single since 2017’s “Watch Gon’ Do?” featuring Rick Ross and B.I.G. He’s joined by Tiffany Haddish and his sons Justin, Quincy and Christian in the music video directed by Teyana Taylor.
“Gotta Move On” will be included on his upcoming project, which will be released on his new label, distributed by Motown Records. The album will be his first since 2006’s Press Play.
