Shinedown has premiered a new version of “Daylight,” the current single off the band’s new album, Planet Zero.
The updated recording, which is streaming exclusively through Amazon Music, is described as a “complete re-imagining” of “Daylight,” complete with “big drums and an aggressive distorted synth guitar tone that balance against the beauty and softness of the verses and chorus.”
The original “Daylight” hit #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, helping Shinedown once again take the record for the most leaders in the ranking’s history. The Planet Zero title track reached #1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, as well.
Shinedown has been touring throughout the year in support of Planet Zero, which continues Friday at the Rocklahoma festival. The band will then play a run of U.S. headlining dates throughout September and October, followed by a trip to Europe in November.
