Jada Pinkett Smith, her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris and daughter Willow Smith all take a seat at the coveted “Red Table” for the long-awaited return of the Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk.
The multi-generational trio shared the announcement on the show’s Facebook page on Tuesday, along with the season-five trailer, which reveals the star-studded guest lineup.
Among the visitors who will join the ladies for honest and intimate conversation is eight-time Grammy nominee and fashion icon Janelle Monae, who will open up about her coming out at the age of 32, while also sharing details about healing from the trauma caused by her father’s drug addiction. Monae will be joined by her mother who, in the trailer, expresses gratitude for being invited on the show.
Future episodes will feature the heartbroken parents of Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, who tragically died by suicide earlier this year. Ireland Baldwin and her mother, Oscar-winning actress Kim Basinger, will also appear and reveal how anxiety has impacted their lives.
‘Tinder Swindler’ victim Ayleen Charlotte will also have a seat at the red table, as will Smith children Willow, Jaden and Trey, making their first solo appearance on the show. “The fact that we haven’t done this yet is ridiculous,” Willow says in the trailer.
Last year’s Red Table Talk included candid discussion from guests including Alicia Keys, Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Ciara and more.
The Emmy-winning weekly series returns Wednesday, April 20 at 12 p.m. ET on the show’s Facebook Watch page.
