Fall Out Boy is here to encourage you to fire up your light sabers and start swinging.
The band is the latest to make their music available to Beat Saber, the VR rhythm game in which players wield blades that resemble light sabers and cut through different blocks, perfectly timed to the beat of the music. The game is available on the Oculus Quest 2 and Rift platforms.
Eight Fall Out Boy hits will become available on March 31 for $10.99, or $1.99 per song, including “Centuries,” “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” “Dance Dance” and “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race.”
There’s also a concert stage environment, complete with pyrotechnics. Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz notes in a statement, “Our shows are flat out filled with pyro – it’s rock n roll. That’s why our first VR collab had to have a TON of it…this will be the biggest rock show that Beat Saber has ever seen. Turn it up!”
Other artists who have made their music available for Beat Saber include Green Day, Imagine Dragons, Billie Eilish and Linkin Park.
