Kash Doll is living up to her name, as she revealed that a few years ago, she earned $26,000 in one night as a stripper in Detroit.
She’s now enjoying life as a recording artist and an actress in 50 Cent‘s new Starz series, BMF; however, before her entertainment career began, her odd jobs were not paying the bills. The “Single & Happy” singer had her car stolen, her home caught on fire, and she had to move in with her mother. So in 2012, she decided to become an adult entertainer.
Kash, born Arkeisha Knight, told former NBA star Jalen Rose on his Renaissance Man podcast that her first night as a stripper, she made $700. “This is what I make in two weeks at Best Buy,” she recalled.
Knight danced at the Motor City club The Sting, and revealed that her first year, she made $250,000, without ever taking off her bra.
“I just got so popular to the point that I was on flyers every week and I didn’t dance on the floor like the regular dancers,” the rapper/actress said. “They knew when I walked onstage…it just became a thing. I was like the highest-paid dancer in Michigan.”
Now, Kash is featured in BMF portraying Monique, a paralegal who is one of the lovers of drug lord Big Meech. One of the highlights of shooting the series for her was when 50 Cent hosted her birthday party on the set in Atlanta in March.
“We couldn’t leave due to COVID. We had to be on set,” Kash recalled. “He’d been around and he [knew] how important it is for women and their birthday.”
You can see Kash Doll in BMF, airing Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Starz.
