My Chemical Romance‘s “Teenagers” is the latest song to find a second life on TikTok.

The Black Parade single has been used in over 100,000 “creations” on the platform in recent weeks, which usually center on the idea that, as the song goes, “Teenagers scare the living s*** out of me.”

One video, for example, shows someone working at an axe-throwing venue explaining that people under 18 aren’t allowed to participate in the axe throwing because of “safety reasons.” They then reveal that the real reason behind the policy is because teenagers, well, you know the rest.

“The trend…can help elucidate age-based anxieties, soundtrack 2000s picture day photoshoot concepts, and explain the mindset of adults who are amazed by teens’ daily work routines,” a press release says.

It’s also a fitting time for “Teenagers” to make a comeback, since The Black Parade will celebrate its 15th anniversary later this month.

Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance is gearing up for the band’s long-awaited reunion tour, which is finally set to kick off in 2022 after being postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
