Avatar has announced a new album called Don’t Go in the Forest.

The 10th studio effort from the Swedish metallers will arrive on Halloween. It’s the follow-up to 2023’s Dance Devil Dance, which spawned the single “The Dirt I’m Buried In.”

“The secret ingredient is that we still feel like we’re just getting started,” frontman Johannes Eckerström says of the upcoming record. “Don’t Go in the Forest is an album filled to the brim with stuff we’ve never done before. It’s all songs and concepts we haven’t been close to [touching] until now. The mind is wild and we have lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that must be spoken.”

Along with the album news, Avatar has dropped a new song called “Tonight We Must Be Warriors.” The track’s video is available on YouTube.

The full track list for Don’t Go in the Forest has yet to be revealed. Avatar’s released two other songs in 2025: “In the Airwaves” and “Captain Goat.”

Avatar will launch a U.S. tour in November.

Even though Travis Denning co-wrote the Cody Johnson/Carrie Underwood smash “I’m Gonna Love You,” he admits he didn’t fully understand it until the arrival of his daughter, Charlotte Lane Denning, on July 13.

It’s something that was top of mind for the “After a Few” hitmaker at the song’s recent #1 party in Nashville, attended by Charlotte and Travis’ wife, Madison Montgomery.

“It has been truly the most fun I’ve ever had in my life,” he says of fatherhood. “I don’t wanna talk about it too much cause I’ll probably cry. We’re five weeks in and it’s just awesome. It’s just so cool.”

Travis couldn’t help but reflect on how his outlook has changed.

“I wrote that song in my 20s when I was like, ‘I’m never gonna get married, I’m gonna be a troubadour,'” he recalls. “So we wrote this love song about the most profound feeling. I’m like, ‘I can’t totally relate to it yet.’ And now I’m like, ‘That was a sprinkle of like, in the future, you’ll get this.’ And now every day I think about it.”

Charlotte’s first #1 party was also attended by her grandfather John Michael Montgomery, who is Madison’s dad.

Travis is booked to play his father-in-law’s The Road Home The Final Concert Dec. 12 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, alongside Montgomery Gentry‘s Eddie Montgomery and Travis’ brother-in-law Walker Montgomery.

Ringo Starr is getting ready to showcase his art for the public.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s artwork will be on display at the Animazing Gallery in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas starting Sept. 5, which coincides with Ringo’s upcoming residency with his All-Starr Band.

The Starr Art exhibition, which runs through Oct. 15, is Ringo’s first art show since 2019, with 100 percent of all proceeds going to Ringo’s Lotus Foundation charity. The exhibition will be the first time Ringo will be displaying his original paintings and will feature a collection of Ringo’s Spin Art pieces.

“I loved Spin Art the first time I saw it,” Ringo says. “I saw a video of some kids doing it and I thought I’m going to try that. … You know it is always a surprise what you end up with and of course I love that part of it.”

He notes, “One of the great surprises has been that I started putting canvases around the room to capture the overflow and whatever paint the spinning threw off and those became their own art.”

The Starr Art exhibition will be open to the public and Ringo will attend a private event for collectors who purchase any pieces prior to the event.

Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — Toto’s Steve LukatherMen at Work‘s Colin HayWarren HamHamish StuartGregg Bissonette and Buck Johnson — will kick off their latest Las Vegas residency at The Venetian Sept. 17, with dates confirmed through Sept. 27. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hadn’t even been publicly engaged for 24 hours before online betting sites started weighing in with odds on their wedding.

Alex Murphy, oddsmaker at Casinos.com, has come up with some fun and totally hypothetical odds, similar to the prop bets offered during the Super Bowl. For example, the favorite for location is Lake Como or Tuscany in Italy.

According to Murphy, the favorite time frame would be sometime during the NFL offseason. The favorite to be a bridesmaid is Selena Gomez, while Jason Kelce is a lock for best man. The favorite time frame for the arrival of the couple’s first child is 2027 or later.

Murphy has also laid odds on details about Taylor’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, offering 5 to 6 odds on there being a wedding-inspired lyric, and 5 to 1 odds on Travis appearing in one of Taylor’s music videos. The longest odds, though, are Taylor actually mentioning Travis in a lyric: that’s 10 to 1 odds.

“Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding will be one of the biggest celebrity events of the decade, and the books know it,” Murphy says in a statement. “Fans aren’t just speculating on the date, they’ll want to bet on the guest list, the bridal party, the honeymoon. … It’s the rare cultural moment where sports, entertainment, and betting all collide.”

Meanwhile, in all the engagement excitement on Tuesday you may have missed that, on that same day, the Taylor episode of Travis and Jason’s New Heights podcast has been officially granted a record with the Guinness World Records. The record is “Most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube”: 1.3 million people tuned in to watch Taylor spill on her new album, her baking hobby and her relationship with Travis.

The All-American Rejects have inspired the design of a race car set to take part in the upcoming Music City Grand Prix IndyCar Series race.

The car is the Juncos Hollinger Racing team’s No. 76 Chevrolet, driven by Conor Daly. It features the AAR logo, along with the title of their latest single, “Easy Come, Easy Go.”

With the Rejects’ help, we’re guess that Daly hopes his car gives the other racers hell come race day. The Music City Grand Prix takes place Aug. 30-31 in Nashville.

The All-American Rejects are also set to perform during a pre-race party taking place Aug. 31.

“Easy Come, Easy Go” was released in June and is set to appear on the upcoming AAR album, their first since 2012.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce confirmed in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26, 2025, that they are engaged. (@taylorswift/Instagram)

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift revealed their engagement in an Instagram post on Tuesday. But in an exclusive interview with WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, revealed that his son actually proposed to Taylor earlier this month.

“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed told WEWS-TV. “He was going to put it off ’til this week … to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.”

“And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event,” he added, noting that Taylor’s father Scott Swift was telling Travis the same thing.

According to Ed, Travis proposed to Taylor at a garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

“They were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” Ed said. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew.”

He said he was at a Philadelphia Eagles practice when he got the call.

“As soon as I saw the FaceTime, I saw it was Travis, and then I saw Taylor there with him, I knew what they were going to say,” Ed noted. He also revealed that he’s known for months that Travis was planning to propose, and even thought he might do it during last year’s NFL season.

Ed said he and Travis’ mom Donna Kelce went to Travis’ house for dinner on Aug. 24; Taylor cooked.

“We had a wonderful dinner with them outside on the patio and to just watch the two of them, just crazy about each other, it’s truly kinda neat,” he said.

Green Day‘s movie New Years Rev will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 12.

The film is said to be inspired by “the exploits of Green Day and their years of living in a tour van.” The “American Idiot” outfit will perform in the movie, and the cast includes Mckenna Grace, Fred Armisen, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey and Bobby Lee.

New Years Rev is directed by Lee Kirk, who also helmed the Armstrong-starring 2016 movie Ordinary World.

Behold, a new trinity of metal.

Spiritbox‘s Courtney LaPlante, Evanescence‘s Amy Lee and Poppy have all posted the same photo on Instagram, featuring the three of them standing beside each other, all sporting dark hair.

Fans in the comments are speculating that the trio could be uniting for a new collaborative song. Producer and former Bring Me the Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish also posted the image on his Instagram Story, perhaps hinting that he produced the possible track.

LaPlante and Poppy already made headlines earlier in 2025 when the latter was confused for the former during a Grammy red carpet interview. A number of fans reference the Grammy mix-up in the new post’s comments, which include, “Amy Lee, poppy and poppy” and “Are they claiming Amy Lee as the third Poppy?”

Stay tuned.

Gov’t Mule is set to kick off their Back in the Saddle tour, but it will be without founding member Matt Abts behind the drum kit.

In a post on social media, Abts shares that he will be sitting out the tour to recover from some health-related issues.

“As the Mule gears up to launch the Back in the Saddle Tour, I wanted to let all of our fans know I’ve made the tough but necessary decision to stay home and attend to some lingering injuries from years behind the kit,” he writes. “I’m okay – and will be fine! I just need some time at home to rest and recover.”

He adds, “I look forward to being back on the road soon.”

Gov’t Mule’s Back in the Saddle tour begins Wednesday in Milwaukee. A complete list of dates can be found at mule.net.
